Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

Well what was your reacion to HG/SS
to be honest i was ok with it for a few reasons.1 most johto pokemon werent available before the remake(in a proper way) unlike pokemon for ruby and sapphire, so they were somewhat justified in making those remakes. 2. i guess it feels like an obvious pattern they doing especially with everybody always going hoenn confirms was ok at first but now a little annoying to me lol, so now what next game gonna be fire red/leaf green? they came after ruby and sapphire so now everybody gonna go kanto confirmed? diamond and pearl is everybody gonna go sinnoh confirmed? basically i don’t think everybody gonna give the same hype for those games because there still fresh in some minds and because all those pokemon are available which is weird to me because its ruby and sapphire who to me had to most available pokemon
I want the setting to be Hoenn, but the story/gameplay/everything to be different so you are not alone.
i just dont feel like the timing to make one is right now, maybe a few more years but that just me, but yea if everything is different then i might change opinion
