  1. ~THIS IS NOT FAKE LEAKS, THIS IS SPECULATION~
~IF YOU WANT TO TRY TO BAN ME, I CAN NAME A FEW OTHERS YOU CAN TAKE ALONG WITH ME FOR SPECULATION AND THEORIES~

Summary: Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes WILL be released next year, in 2015, if Nintendo keeps up with their current release pattern.

    Reasoning:
I’m sure we all know Pokemon Red and Green, which released in North America as Red and Blue on September 30th, 1998. Their remakes, on the Gameboy Advance, released on September 9th, 2004, approximately 6 years after the release of the original Red and Green.

To move on. Pokemon Gold and Silver released in North America on October 15th, 2000. Their remakes, on the Nintendo DS, known as Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, released in North America on March 14th, 2010, approximately 10 years after the release of Pokemon Gold and Silver, 9 years and 5 months to be more exact. To round it, it would be about 9 years.

Notice anything so far? There is a 3 year gap, approximately, between the first generation and second generation of remakes. Third time’s the charm? I think so.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire released in North America on March 19th, 2003. If we were to use our skills of mathematics, we have 6, and then we have 9. The rule thus far is +3. Therefore, it would be normal for Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire to have remakes 12 years after their release, which would be March 19th, 2015. Although this might not be the exact date, and although it’s highly unlikely, with the shortage of news we’ve been getting, I’m sensing a pattern here.

I know what you’re thinking. There was a 2 year difference between Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, which I can explain.

Think about it. Remaking an ENTIRE game, on an ENTIRELY new console. Pokemon Red and Green released on the Gameboy Color, and its sequels were on the Gameboy Advance, practically a WHOLE NEW CONSOLE.

Pokemon Gold and Silver released on the Gameboy Advance, and its sequels were on the Nintendo DS, now this is a pretty big jump.

I would imagine it takes an even longer time to implement 3D MODELS, which is most likely going to continue throughout the series. X and Y was in development for 8 years, please correct me if I am wrong, before it was released, and was announced 10 months in advance.

If Nintendo follows this same pattern, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes are to be announced NEXT MONTH, and please GOD happen.

What I’m getting at is, using reasoning and pattern skills, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes are going to be released next year, BASED ON MY UNDERSTANDING.

Nintendo doesn’t really follow patterns, and I know someone was going to point that out. Look at Black and White 2 and Generation VI, those came as huge surprises. I don’t think anyone suspected Generation VI after Black and White 2 came out, and I don’t think anyone thought anything other than Pokemon Grey/Gray was going to come out after Black and White. But look what happened!

Do not take it that I am confirming that Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes WILL be releasing next year. It is all pure speculation, that based, on patterns across the years, would be the most reasonable.

Believe whatever you want, but I think I’ve made my point across. Thank you for reading. 🙂

    • Sounds reasonable. But I thought X and Y were in development for 3-4 years. And Red and Green/Blue released on the GameBoy while Gold/Silver released on the GameBoy Color. Ruby/Sapphire was on the GBA. And if they were going to be released in Spring 2015, it could be announced at E3 this year, which is very likely.

    • I do believe XY were started when Nintendo gave dev packages to companies at the announcement of the 3DS in 2010. I don’t think would’ve been worked on that long, granted GF was the first to receive a package.

      • Just a note to be put out there.
In case the staff needs some clarification.

I’ve already been temp. banned for fake leaks once, and I don’t want the mods mistakening this as one.

I’ve been banned another time a few days prior for no reason. It was probably a mistake, or a wrong IP ban, because that same day there was someone posing as me.

    • You have your fact just slightly skewed there. Red and Green were released on normal Gameboy, Gold and Silver were released on Gameboy Color. You prolly meant this, but I thought I’d point it out lol I like your theory tho

EDIT: oops sorry didn’t see that someone else said this lol

        I’m an Average Trainer.
I’m all good. I’m on the train home. I’ll be transferring to a bus in an hour though. That means no wifi during that time. :'(

        How are you?

        Reply
          • I’ve got a license, but no car. :'(

But that’ll all change this summer. I’ll finally have my own car and drive all my friends wherever and whenever!!! What’s that? They already have cars to drive? Screw it! I’ll pick them up and drive them to school, homes, and around the city anyway!!!

            MUHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

          • If you’ve got insurance, then you shouldn’t be scared. Remember your driving skills. You know them, so you should use them. It’s best to familiarize yourself with driving when the time comes. I know New York is way different from the Bay Area (with the exception of San Francisco being sorta similar), but the same rules still apply.

          • Yeah I need to be more confident :/ But in New York you don’t really need a car cause of the traffic and it’s quicker to take bus or a cab. But when I first get my licenses. I hit my house so that pretty much ruined my confidence in my skills <_< thanks for trying to help <3

  3. Sooooo we’ve had a Drought of interesting mainstream Pkmn game news. Which leads me to HOPE that Nintendo’s planning something big.
