McDonalds Happy Set Promotion Coming to U.S.

The official Mcdonalds page has updated it’s Happy Set page to showcase the upcoming “Battle Launcher” toy included in their famous Happy Set. These toys seem to come with 1 Pokémon card for each purchase; probably very useful in competitions(Dae’s sarcasm is contagious).No starting date is given on the official website, but a source on Pokébeach(found here) claims it’ll come sometime in May through June.

Any memories with Happy Sets? Although not Mcdonalds, one of the kids-set toys that I remember fondly is a Burger King Simpsons toy that would say “Mmmhh Burger.” every time you pressed the hamburger Homer was holding (I think it was the hamburger).

  3. The cards are just reprints of already released basics like the starters and such. Still cool to have. I still have last year’s cards in my car visor.

      • First of all, not speaking just for myself here, but can any of us apply to become a Gym Leader, or some kind of staff member?
        I probably won’t be eligible due to a temporary ban on my record from a few days ago, but can any of us apply?

        Secondly, if we have some sort of fangame or something currently going on, can we request to have an article made based on that? For example, I’m working on Pokemon Jasper, Pokemon X2 and Y2, and Pokemon Black 3 and White 3, and I’d like more people to know and help out.

        • 1.)Mod=staff member. This means that you can become a mod by either showing off your talent when we show interest in new staff members(Jungle Games) or if you prove to us that joining the pokejungle team would be a wise decision(which will not happen easily, but I am living proof that it is possible).No, you can’t apply, because we’re not looking for any staff right now.

          • Jungle Games was something we did a while back to add staff members that would write creative articles during times of news drought like this one. Participants would write sample articles to show off their skills to see if they were worthy.
            As a side note, the chat mods are completely different from staff. For chat mods were looking for people that frequent said chat and are trustworthy, respectful people.

            I’m considering trying to prove that joining the team would be a wise decision. Do you have any advice for me? What are ways in which I could prove that joining the Pokejungle team would be a good idea?

          • Thing is, we can’t know what we want until we see it.As it is a news drought, I guess at the moment what we’re looking for the most are people who are good at creative writing and more importantly have an initiative to continue writing for the site.

    Hmm, probably my most favorite memory with a happy meal would be getting a gold plated Burger King card. Except that I wasn’t old enough to even talk when they came out, Amazon FTW! That moment when it arrived and I acted like a trainer. Back when fast food restaurants actually had good toys 😐

  8. my favorite two memories are when i was getting the neopets plushes from mcds. those were awesome and of course i have to include the bk pokemon gold cards. i remember my dad came home from work one day and my uncle had actually bought me basically the entire set of them. boy i really miss my uncle.

  13. Can any one help me with legendary pokemon in exchange for my shiny ones? I have 3, a female Talonflame lvl 67, a male Feraligatr lvl 68, and a male Chestnaught lvl 68. I just need to run through the legendary pokemon. I don’t want to keep your pokemon, I just want to complete the dex for once.

  16. I went to Mcdonalds so much that one summer they had the neopets plush. All I wanted was a fricken Jubjub but out of the million meals I got, never once did I get a GD JUBJUB!!!!

  18. My favorite Happy Meal toy when I was a kid was the little gameboy color. It was around when Crystal had just come out (I believe there was a Chikorita in my screen) and I was so so excited when the game card that came with mine was the same blue+glitter as the real-life Crystal game card.

    Sadly I lost it not long after getting it… I’ve been continually scouring ebay to try and find a replacement ahaha! (I don’t want to imagine how expensive a Happy Meal toy from well over a decade ago is now though…)

          • Just go to to UU or below its more fun and random and you will see less legendaries.

          • What’s wrong Earthen are getting mad at someone who is using pokemon to win? You can’t be mad at someone using OU pokemon in OU, if you wanna use or see a bunch of UU or NU pokemon go to UU or NU

          • Yeah. Every team has a Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde or Mewtwo. It’s annoying. I can’t recall the number of times my team’s been swept by a Mega Mewtwo Y or a Xerneas with the proper coverage moves.

  26. My most memorable one was a spider man toy from KFC, that was the first and only time I went there.
    My mum (mom for you North Americans) made better chicken :/

            My mother hates eating Fast Food
            My Brother complains about KFC and he’s hippocrit when it comes to fast food (Especially when he’s high)
            and My Dad not so much hates it just doesn’t want to waste money

          • Cool, I don’t like wasting money either especially on clothes. I my parents are like it doesn’t matter how much it costs but I will always opt for the cheapest thing. I have a hoodie that was only 10 bucks but would cost like 15-25 if it was designer one.

          • My typical style is
            Either a Collared T-Shirt with the Breast Pocket
            or regular T-Shirt with Breast Pocket
            Cargo Pants with ginormous pockets (I’m the kind of guy who carries a ton of junk with me everywhere)
            Giant Dark Green Hoodie
            mah clunky boots
            and a Bear Claw Necklace (which the string broke….)
            I even put a chain on my old Gameboy SP and wore around my neck for a while
            and Blue Silicon Rubber Wristbands on each wrist with Nintendo Power written on them

          • Lol, I just wear a dark coloured hoodie and a collared shirt underneath (I usually wear sweatpants at home but when I’m out I wear Chinos with the first pair of shoes I find). I’ve put a bunch of Nintendo themed hoodies and T-shirts in my shopping cart on redbubble and I’m waiting until my exams are over to buy them.

  28. My fav fast food toy was when Mcdonalds would always give out those Bionacle toys. I loved bionacle and still do. Why did you have to end it lego. :'(

  43. So if I use leech seed on a sap seeper goodra will it fail and give him the attack boost or will it attack normaly and boost his attack every turn?
