Welcome to our (kinda) live Smash Bros direct! This post will contain the live stream as soon as it goes up. You’ll find an extensive write-up below right after the Direct has ended! No lazy vagueness or inaccuracies like our competitors use to do.
I’ll try to do live updates, but I can’t promise anything seeing as I want to follow the Direct myself and I don’t have my second screen with me. I’ll be with you every minute though and you are free to discuss things in the comments!

As everyone should know Smash Bros. 3DS comes out around the Summer time and Smash Bros. Wii U releases in the Winter time! Which version are you all getting? (I think I might end up getting both!)
I’m still unhappy that both game have the same roster. So pretty much we will know all of smash wii u’s secret characters before the wii u version in summer 🙁
Not necessarily. Mario Kart Wii U has a larger roster than it’s 3DS version. True, it’s a sequel of sorts but still

Not with more popular characters around like Mega Man and Charizard. Which is a good thing imo.
That’s why if I use common Pokemon, I make sure they’re shiny, to somewhat stand out xD Like my Talonflame and Greninja. Probably the most common Pokemon in wifi battling this gen.

They sure spent a lot of time on HD graphics to make sure the GAMEPLAY was great.

ahh okay, I never played any Smash games before.
I’m hoping (and assuming) Eevee’s attack in Smash Bros 4 will be similar to the way Clefairy and Togepi attack using Metronome, as in randomness.
Eevee could pop out of the Pokéball and use Tackle (the move it seems to be using in the Direct) or it could evolve as soon as it pops out of the Pokéball and use a move based on the type it evolved into (Flamethrower if Flareon, Leaf Blade if Leafeon, Fairy Wind if Sylveon, etc.). It could have a possible of 9 different attacks, one for each Eeveelution plus Eevee itself.
I’d honestly, LOVE something like that. It fits Eevee perfectly!

I hate the 3DS graphics for Smash Bros. They could’ve probably have been better, but it reminds me of a fancy GBA game. Greninja sold it for me though!
I heard them say gameplay could change or something. I wonder if that only meant for the Wii-U version or the 3DS as well, because they need to get those graphics together before summer hits lol.
What’s the deal with the black outline around the characters? It looks awful. I realize limitations cause issues but fuck. Look at XY.

Maybe skins are unlockables like trophies and so you can get exclusive skins to wii U/DS So it allows you to get them
