Welcome to our (kinda) live Smash Bros direct! This post will contain the live stream as soon as it goes up. You’ll find an extensive write-up below right after the Direct has ended! No lazy vagueness or inaccuracies like our competitors use to do.
I’ll try to do live updates, but I can’t promise anything seeing as I want to follow the Direct myself and I don’t have my second screen with me. I’ll be with you every minute though and you are free to discuss things in the comments!
The stream starts 3 pm Pacific – 6 pm Eastern – 11 pm UK time – 12 am Central European time and 7 am for our Japanese visitors. See you then!

Greninja and Charizard are in it 😀 But where is the Charizard Y love?
;~; What love? Nintendo gives it almost none.
I’m hoping you get to choose the two Megas. Even I’d be a bit pissed with all this Churzurd Xerse luve
There is no Charizard Y
in this —> <3
who needs a partner for the tourney?
I do! But, can I check up on regi first please? Thank you! 😀
If I got to choose any pokemon to be in the game as fighters I would pick Hawlucha and Gengar
Hawlucha would be cool
hmmmmm
Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff is already in the game XD
u dont know that
I will seriously give you $100 if they cut any of the eight original fighters
Well Yoshi was just confirmed to still be in.
That means either Ness, Jiggs, or Captain Falcon would be cut.
Yeah most likely these characters will be hidden characters in the game
Ness would be too classic and fanfavorite to remove. And yes, I understand they all are.
Jigglypuff was the waste of space in Smash Bros for me. I don’t want her to return dont hate me pls (>.<)
I only use her to troll people.
Jigglypuff was the only character I ever won with. ^-^*
My sister was good with her, but she was just lacking after a while. We learned the controls, my sister and I kept losing with her. But, no disrespect to you 🙂
XD Your sister was good with Jigglypuff…
Let that sink in.
She licked the pinkness. She is the embodiment of little princess pink girls. She stopped being good with her after we knew what we were doing. Or are you implying an innuendo you sneaky cheek! xD
xD She LICKED the pinkness?!
That’s soooooo dirty.
Could you imagine Darmanitan vs Donkey Kong?
that = awesome
Soooooo UPVOTE FOR GRENINJA AS MAIN!!!!!!!!
This is what smash is lacking.

Pokemon has one more spot for a charcter
its either jigglypuff, mewtwo, or Gulpin
It’s either Noivern, Xatu or Lickitung 😉
#HatersGonnaHate
or skiddo
Gogoat? Maybe. Skiddo would realistically only be able to like kick and stufs. Gogoat could ram people :3
Gogoat is in a pokéball. AND YOU CAN RIDE HIM!
Source? 😮
The direct that just aired.
THEY SHOWED IT.
D: Or Swampert.
When a Sap sippin mega is recieved :3
D: They should’ve had that there. Greninja attacks and BANG! Swampert’s there.
or sceptile
@thegreatcarbinkle:disqus I dont think regi or djja will respond, so I’ll be your partner!
yay are you on the computer so we can play on showdown and talk strategies
If you guys see heavy tell him I quit from competitive and he doesn’t need to breed me the foongus
Why did you quit? 🙁
D: You’re joking right?
Dont quit!
Es a prank.
No prank truth
Seriously?! Why?
I can tweet to him if you want. Why you quitting?!
Too many reasons
… Wanna battle?
I’m ok….
Okay…
Thanks anyway though…
ooo my belly goes JIGGLY because i ate alot of cream PUFFS
This switches things up for me! I’ll pay full price for the 3DS version instead and simply reserve the Wii U version.
or get both
I will…
Same.
If I had a WiiU.
I need a new 3DS… Pit broke mine and it barely works…
Oh darn 🙁 I was very cautious of that when I played the game.
My L and R button gave up on me… and now the D-pad is going…
I found a site where you can make gifs easily from Youtube urls. Not much, but it’s something.
http://gifsforum.com/make-a-gif-from-youtube/
Thank you! I’m trying it now! 😀

My brain hurts!!!!!!!!
Defend your brain from the pain.
The rapid fire of comments brings me back memories to the pre X and Y release days. :’)
You think this is something, wait until the next pokemon direct about main games.
And then we get new visitors and there will be even more spam!! 😀 😀
SPAM!
The leaker XD that guy was just false as shit
Say cheese for the Dae ban hammer camera! 😀
Cheeeese
1. Notice how they never showed the Mega Evolution scene?
2. Notice how the only new (and somewhat returning) characters were Pokémon?
3. Who’s is using Greninja as a main? I mean, amiright?!
I’m definitely using Greninja as main! It looks amazing
Definitely maing Mac and Greninja.
Pokemon Strider Hiryu!
Greninja shall replace my Jigglypuff. .-.
XD The way you word that lol!
Lol. What’d i do.
No? Nvr mind then. Jigglypuff. No? Ok.
I like Jigglypuff’s unique mechanics tho… I’ll miss Jigglypuff. When’s the summer? I hope they have time to add more characters.

Classic MM, X, .EXE, AND STAR FORCE!
The hype is too much…
CAPCOM, LOVE YOUR MASCOT AGAIN!
Nintendo can do more witm Megaman! They should buy it from Crapcom.
They really really should
How do I embed a GIF like that?
I think you just link it instead of drag and drop or uploading it to disqus.
This is the COOLEST Final Smash IMO EVER.
Sticking with the wii fitness trainer for lols
I like the Fitness trainer. XD
