I understand Charizard being included, I prefer squirtle’s line but Charizard has been the fanboy’s little darling for 20 years now. GRENINJA THOUGH !!?!? That’s unnecessary favouritism over all the other 16 evolutions

They fit in with the style of smash. We were more or less expecting Pokemon trainer, but this was a surprise for sure.

TBH I hate that they are making a 3ds version because it limits the wii u version
But the 3DS version doesn’t look as good the Wii U version though. I suppose the 3DS version is for those who like portable gaming that you can play with friends anywhere.
But the fact that both versions have to have the same roster limits what the wii u can do. For example Sakuri said he was having trouble making the ice climbers on 3ds so they might be cut.
If I had to guess this is the reason they aren’t doing character transformations because the 3ds can’t handle it
Not necessarily limits the Wii U since they haven’t reveal everything. I guess only time will tell.
Yes it does they say they have the exact same roster, so if the 3ds can only handle 20 characters the wii u will only have 20 characters.
And if the ice climbers won’t work on the 3ds they will get cut from the wii u version

This is 2014 though !! Being able to easily render a character because they’re a ninja doesn’t validate them being chosen over other. Besides Delphox is a witch like Zelda and Chesnaught is similar to Bowser
they could just add 6th gen pokemon trainer specially that all of starters are bipedals it would more easy
But because they aren’t doing character transformation (which I think is stupid btw) they can’t have characters like the pokemon trainer 🙁

I’m not sure if it’s just Charizard as a standalone character. It may be hinting at Pokemon Trainer with the mega kanto starters.
Ehhhhhhhh I REALLY doubt that.
They separated characters that were multiple characters in one such as shiek and ZSS. PT appears to be getting the same treatment.
More likely ivysaur and squirtle will just be cut 🙁
Who agrees out of all the Grass fully evolved starters Sceptile fits very well, and it would make a great character
