Unlike other sites, we’re not a news site but a community blog. We strive to inject news with our opinions and experiences. There just isn’t anything substantial to comment on. Other websites try to gather every sliver of news they can find to give you the notion something’s going on. Hey, if you book tickets for a movie in Japan you got a Pokémon everyone already has, now everyone go buy those tickets. Also, it’s good to know Trozei is less than 50 megabyte to download! How much exactly? We don’t know but it’s less than 50 so your life should be complete by now! Now give us all those clicks, you thought this news was an act of charity?
We’re not doing that. The things we’d love to give you however, are rumours. Sadly, we are back in that dreadfully slow news period in between game release and game announcements. So we’re going to try something different today. Let’s make up our own rumours! Everyone posts their craziest or most credible take on the next Pokémon games in the comments and maybe even act as an inside source for other their rumours. After the actual games get announced, I will link back to this thread so we can see who was right and who made the most stupendous rumour!

Upon finishing the game, check your PC and it will say “you have received new wallpapers for completing the game for the first time”. The first time…. As if you can complete it for a second time!? What I am trying it get at is more post game content in the form of events or something. Maybe?
This further validates my theory about us getting DLC expansions on our current XY games. We beat the new elite 4 and unlock more wallpapers.

DLC is DLC regardless… downloadable content.. it doesn’t have to purchasable. Remember, Masuda said back in July 2013 that he has no plans for “paid DLC”… he didn’t rule out Free DLC.
They’ll still make their money this year and next from annual subscribers of Pokebank investing 5 bucks per year to migrate their old pokes over to the next region

But not everybody has Internet access, and given Pokemon is a big Nintendo franchise, adding storyline content onto a main series game wouldn’t come in the form of DLC imo. There would be physical cartridges too, at least I think so xD

For past two generations, there’s been a secret mythical legendary that ended up getting a new forme in the next game. Gen IV had Shaymin and Gen V had Keldeo. Can we expect to see a new forme for one of the Energy Trio Members in Gen 6.5?

I envy Japan so badly. I want to use Diancie in my next party, but knowing that she might have those moves makes me so upset! I know that special Victini was given to us, but it took forever!

The key word here is “optional.”
A game’s more likely to be fun in the long run when DLC is included. If you have everything at once, you’re gonna get bored. Makes perfect sense.

I can see Nintendo doing something like this:
releasing a digital expansion pack for XY. If you download it and continue it with your current protagonist you unlock a bunch of cool stuff and the memory girl in Anistar will tell you a bunch of cool things.
and then they release physical copies of the expansion packed games (XY game of the year edition type of versions) where you play as new protagonists but don’t really unlock that much cool stuff and the memory girl doesn’t recall anything about the old Kalos.

They had them in American theatres. I used to go with my Dad and Brother to watch them.

Unlike most people, the first movie wasn’t my first Pokémon movie (it was Pokémon Heroes). I saw Mewtwo Strikes Back on the Internet a few years ago in High School. Even then, I was still surprised to see Donphan!

before HeartGold & SoulSilver were released, the Johto starters starred in the Arceus movie. I think the Mega Eon’s will play a small role in one of the gen 6 movies as a teaser for us that Hoenn is coming again.
Game wise.. I believe Steven Stone will discover the mega stones for the Eon-Duo. And I think the opening movies will be updated… Brendan riding his bike outspeeding Latios until it mega evolves and outspeeds him on his bike. And the opposite game will have May outspeeding Latias who mega evolves and outspeeds her. THAT IS if they make two games instead of a single Emerald remake.

Anyone wondering how the Eternal Flower is supposed to be obtained at all? She’s AZ’s dearest and closest friend, so how can the protagonist possibly get her in the story? It’s not like AZ will give his Floette up, unless there are multiple Eternal Floette.
There really isn’t a story to it. You get it through a wi-fi event and people show up asking if they can have it, your only option is to hand it over and someone else comes in saying that you should keep it. So you do.
