News from Japan: Anime Special Details & Trozei 3DS XL

Details about the upcoming Mega Evolution special have been revealed. The main character, Alan, is working with his Charizard to defeat every Mega Evolution. Ultimately He faces Siebold of the Elite 4.

A special edition Nintendo 3DS XL is also being given away in Japan. The Pokémon Daisuke Club will be giving two copies of a Trozei-themed console away to lucky fans. It will not be available for purchase.

I’m trying to catch Florges and I’m doing what Serebii is saying and getting a flawless capture and a high combo (14 is my highest on Floette) but for some reason, I just can not get it. Has anyone else gotten Florges and if so at what combo number? I just really need help.

  14. I seem to have a big problem. On zone 4, Sky-High Ruins, it says on Serebii, that to unlock stage 5, you have to catch, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza. I’ve done that and I still haven’t unlocked stage 5. In fact, I’ve already unlocked every other stage except stage 5 and caught every Pokemon except Jirachi in stage 6 and I can’t seem to unlock stage 5. Can anybody help me on this?

    P.S: How do you unlock to 3rd assist Pokemon slot?

  22. well since Alan has Mega Charizard and his last opponent is Siebold, it makes sense that Siebold’s Mega will be Blastoise. I expect this to be a 3-4 part series like how the Red Origins was. After Alan defeats all the Mega’s I hope they show Mega Latias/Latios fly pass the screen (like how when Red thought he caught all the Pokemon and Mew flew past).

      • that is odd. guess we’ll have to watch to find out why he has a mega and if Alan meets the other elite 4 members. Cause if Siebold is the final fight then that means he doesn’t face champion Diantha and possily the other elite 4 members.

        if Drasna was to get a Mega it’d probably be Ampharos.

    • I said that like a month ago xD (Don’t think i posted here) But nonetheless, all first pokemon games on new consoles are test games meant to see what people like or dislike about the games.Pokemon Amie was a new feature that was well received and the camera function didn’t work too well. Which is why the detective pikachu game is being made. Gamefreak is trying to strengthen the connection that trainers (Players of the game) feel to their pokemon.

    • well as i said this theory before heavy did XD but never mind , X/Y are test games in a sense that they add new feature like amie and super training to see what views like and hated about x and y then fix it up. he act that x and y feels SO incomplete and cut makes you think that it was just to test out the 3d and camera for amie so they can fix it in the sequels

  84. It sucks that there isn’t an item that can turn your ability into a hidden ability. There should have atleast been a mysterious NPC that for a one time use uses his powers to turn your Pokemons ability into its hidden ability.

    That way we can access Hidden Ability Skrelp lol. I wonder how they plan to release it.

    In every gen you face snorelax it says snorelax returns to the mountains and red has a snorelax on mount silver

    Conclusion: Red stays in the mountains aka mount silver in order to feed its snorelax everyday and it was secret so when you find him he is all silent

    I’d like it if Brook was on a beach, and she was renamed to Brooke.
    There’s a volcano on the Zahrre Region map, perfect for Ignacia.

    Love the idea of an Electric-type Elite 4 member.
    In Pokemon X2 and Y2, people will die. Will we have the same thing in Jade Jungle, as cliffhangers?

  203. I think the Strange Souvenir could hint at next gen being set in South America, maybe even in Guyana where Mew was said to have been discovered. Bringing Mew back into picture would be great, and because in real life Guyana’s rainforest has lots of wildlife, I can see a game being set there.

    Can i give you a bit of advice.

    Use Wash Rotom and make it either physically or specially defensive.
    Give Kingdra a Life Orb and use it as a Swift Swim attacker.
    Don’t use all of feraligatr, blastoise and greninja. Pick one….
    For your mega Gyarados may a better option…
    And use one of the water/ground types to negate the electric weaknesses…

  272. I can’t decide how to run my Gible
    Iron head or Poison Jab/Brick Break
    Iron Head is nice since attack accuracy and flinch and boosted by Sand Force
    But that Poison Jab got me out of a few Grass type jams including a tangrowth and Gogoat but it is critical against the ever common Azumarill

    • copy it from the guide, go to paint.net and in the upper left hand corner (underneath file) you’ll see something that looks like a blank piece of paper w/a green plus
      click on that and press enter (or “ok”)
      then press crtl + v (or paste it)
      and it should be there :3
      if you want separate parts of it, use the Rectangle Select tool (its the first one on the toolbar, shortcut is s) and select the part you want :3
      Also make sure the background is transparent! c:

    • use the magic wand tool and make sure the tolerance is 0% (at the top you’ll see a blue bar that says 50%, just click and drag it to the left)
      then hold shift and crtl and click on the gray parts of the tileset; it should select them
      then press delete and it’ll make it transparent :3

    We now have officially launched BattleDome, and I’m in the process of getting Sumotori and TNT Wars launched by the end of the weekend.

    • Hmm, one of the Ghost lines in it (assuming it evolved twice) could evolve normally first, but then need to faint in battle after reaching a certain level to evolve into the final form. Then, it’ll be sorta “raising” from the dead, but they may be difficult to code or however you guys are doing it xD
      There could be new stones or items
      Since this game has the pollution issue (correct game, right?), there could be a contaminated area at one point in the game that, when certain Pokemon are brought there, have a mutated evolution of some sort

            I’m working on Gen 6. I’m working on / have finished:
            Goomy, Sliggoo, Fletchling, Flabebe, Clauncher, Slurpuff, Helioptile, and Dedenne.

          • I meant that instead of needing to trade Haunter to get Gengar, that new method could be applied. Something like once Haunter reaches Level 42 or 48 and faints, he evolved into Gengar.
            And whoa, that must take a lot of work. Kudos to you xD

    On another note, have EV training methods changed? I gave a pokemon a power item, turned on the exp. Share and went to level up. Now it has max hp Evs…

        • I did! Word to the wise though, don’t keep moving the file from place to place. Stick with Photoshop/Illustrator/Adobe products the whole way through. Once you save it (especially as a JPEG), it’ll lose a lot of quality, and even more if you bring it into MS Paint and save it there once again.

          PNG and TIFF formats are your safest bet.
          PNGs have natural transparency, which is nice, and you don’t lose much quality from compression.
          TIFFs are the safest of them all. You don’t lose any compression at all, but the files are naturally large very quickly, so beware of that

  414. Idk about you guys, but whenever I’m purposely Masuda-ing for a pokemon, I don’t get a shiny. (Still broken about Froakie after 560 eggs) but when I just breed for IV’s I have way better luck. This game is rigged.

  424. I entered my Visa gift card information on the Wii U and it said it couldn’t work for some reason, so I decided to buy the Xatu plush instead. When doing that, it said there were insufficient funds. Apparently that $20 I put on the Wii U went through on the card but not on the system -_- I’m about to use Rage…I have to TALK to somebody now.

    After 3 days, I’ve opened:

  457. So this is new: Pokémon can pass more egg moves to each new offspring. For example, you can breed a Female Serperior with a Male Ampharaous w/ Iron Tail, and the offspring will have Iron Tail. Breed that offspring w/ an Oddish w/ Grassy Terrain, and the offspring will have Iron Tail and Grassy Terrian!

      • I want a better spot if I earn it. The brains should be the champions. I mean, its something you earn, it shouldnt jsut be handed to you. Same thing with some of the leaders. Some of them dont even battle. They got the spot because they were their first.

        • Similar to how you were handed an Elite 4 spot, meanwhile you quit? Sorry, that was mean, but you get my point. Just looking over the Frontier Brains, I’d say those are without a doubt some of the best battlers out of the current PJ community (the active community anyways, there are many more readers that just don’t comment). Beating them would be an accomplishment, and you get a symbol/trophy to prove you did so. You shouldn’t take their spot imo.

          • The only reason I quit was because I didnt have a chance. There was no point in going on. And I think I’d rather be an E4 than nothing, because I actually battle, unlike some of the leaders. You get my point? It was handed to them. They didnt earn it whatsoever. And I almost had to fight for my spot here, it wasnt handed to me. I was late to the party, so I almost had no spot. That shouldn’t be how it works. There should’ve been at least a tourney for some spots. So I have two things to say. One is that maybe if you beat all the brains you get a different honor, just as a title to show that just because your not a brain doesnt mean your not strong. Two, is that if Ziia doesnt come back, I want here spot.

          • You still don’t quit. Your motive isn’t to quit when the going gets tough. You had 4 Pokemon left. You’re an E4, a person who specializes in one type and assigned to test other trainers who have gathered all 8 badges. Your job isn’t to be unbeatable. Sorry, that’s just one thing that really irritates me, people who forfeit.
            Same thing applies to the frontier brain. We’re not assigned to be unbeatable, just provide more of a challenge than the mono-type league provides. Nobody is saying that just because you’re not a frontier brain doesn’t mean you aren’t good. If you get the symbol to prove you beat one of them, that signifies you actually are good.

          • I was going to get stalled out the whole time, and there was no point in going on. It would’ve been a waste of time. Forfeiting is just acknowledging that the other is stronger, and that there is no point in going on. It wasnt because I’m a bad sport, it was because you were going to beat me hard. And I was kinda busy.

          • Forfeiting is akin to quitting. A person in the position of testing their opponent and quits, shouldn’t be in that position at all imo. Quitting makes the opponent feel like they didn’t earn it, and instead were simply given the victory because the person didn’t want to bother. That’s not an E4 attitude at all xD Again, my opinion.

          • I didnt quit. I forfeited. I didnt know you were testing me, and i didnt know it was your frontier brain team.

          • Technically I do have the authority to call the shots but this is a “Community League” so I must be open to all ideas and listen to everyone in the community so everyone has a fair share and opportunity
            My fault was that I announced it a bit prematurely and blew faster then a powdered keg and non-regulars got swept in the hype
            so It’s a bit troublesome to manage this but i’m strong, compassionate and fair to all so i can handle it

  523. Just training up my Pokemon to Lv. 65 for the Elite Four… Then I found a SHINY GURDURR! I was super stoked because it was the first Shiny, I ever found in PKMN X & Y. I had to take a pic of it! I didn’t get to catch it because my Blastoise got a critical hit with Scald… (Sorry for the bad quality; iPhone 4 + 3D on.)

        I cannot capture the sheer brutality I know a Mega Rhyperior would posses
        Mega Rhyperior would be the King of all Ground Types
        It would be Massive standing an intimidating 9’10 Feet tall
        Weighing at an Earthshaking 846 Lbs
        His Protector Plate’s would grow larger and stronger withstanding unimaginable damage and more rigid
        His Arms would grow bigger and stronger forcing him to drop back to all fours! his muscular system would grow into stone mortars!
        His club like tail will sprout spikes and said spikes would travel up his spine
        But the money maker his Horn Drills!
        Through the power of Mega Evolution Rhyperior sprouts 2 more similar to a Bull pointing forward and his original would extend to like 4 Feet assuming the apperance of a Triceratops and a Bull…and a rhino and his face would be stone cold with determination… and maybe two upward pointing tusk like fangs
