They’ve also seemingly posted its shiny form, seen above. On the official site the Pokédex entry confirms it’s relation to Carbink as well.

I like the idea of a new region next Kalos DLC thing (if it is free) but the national dex will be really weird we would have legendaries in the middle of the Dextyn (the dex), and that has NEVER been seen before. Not only that they have never changed the order of the national dex, so how will that work?

Well you would download the update (which will be priced & optional) – and it’ll recode new things in to your game, updating your dex etc…
It would also tell you to store all the pokemon you have in your current XY game inside of Bank… and you won’t be able to reaccess them until you reached a certain point in the new region.
We won’t be able to trade with anyone who didn’t do the update.
But the Bank is meant to be an optional service, and you have to pay for it eventually. I don’t think they would exclude people from getting to explore a brand new region (basically like a new gen), by forcing them to buy a Pokemon Bank app.
Good point! But for only 5 bucks a year… I think they should make use of it…
I didn’t notice that I put in my black cartridge and tried to open up bank and I got the “please proceed to a certain point in the game before using Bank” and it only made me wonder… that if we get a DLC expansion pack that gives us access to a new region.. wouldn’t it be unfair to take lvl 100 pokes to this new region and just breeze through the new 8 badges etc?? I think we’re going to be forced into depositing our pokes in storage, and accessing them again at a certain point in the new region.
When a new gen releases, its optional as well, you can either buy it, or stick the old games.
I think it’s more likely when boarding the train, they tell you since you’ll be exploring a new region you’ll have to deposit all of your Pokemon. When a new gen comes out, there’s an expansion of PC boxes. So maybe in this new region, the PC storage upgrades past 31 boxes, and we get boxes 32-40 something when exploring this new region, while back in Kalos our old Pokemon are in those first 31 boxes. Then upon beating the game, you go to the PC guy/girl in that new region and there’s an upgrade available that links the two PC boxes.
those expansion of PC boxes is called Pokemon Bank 😛

I just can’t see it happening, because it’s basically like suckering people into paying the $5 for Pokebank (by the time this comes out, free trials are over). $5 isn’t a lot, but Pokemon Bank is meant to be an optional service. While you’re right that a new gen is an optional service as well, I can’t see them excluding people from buying the new gen if they haven’t also bought an optional app. Then that optional app becomes a requirement in order to continue your Pokemon journey.

More likely a smaller server pokemon box that isn’t connected to the Kalos “internet” yet, then you repair the internet at one point and regain access?

My theory for Diancie: We will get a Mega tone, the Carbinkite, a one time use item only. We’ll be allowed to use it on our Carbink to Mega Evolve it! Or we might find a special Carbink in a cavern, or something, which undergoes some mutation and transforms into Diancie.

I put Black cartridge and opened Bank by accident and it told me to please proceed to a certain point in the game where I can access Bank…
A new update, XY version 2… with a new region that we go to by taking Lumiose train can work. People say “well wouldn’t it be easy to beat the new champion & leaders with our current high level pokemon??” well no… What will happen is… when you do the update – it will ask you to store any Pokemon we will like to keep in the icloud/bank storage…. We proceed to updating our games…
Then if you try to use Bank again after the new update it will tell you to proceed to a certain point in the game before using Bank again, and that point will be after you beat the new champion we can access our old kalosian pokes again.
This kind of seems weird…. what if you decide to return to Kalos by train? I like Gangplank Style’s idea that it could be a separate box, so you can’t access you Kalosian Pokémon in the new region, but they would still be in the game.
Well once you do the update and you have 0 pokemon and its showing a sequence or something where Sycamore takes you to board the train and you leave to the new region, why would you wanna come back? They should make it so that you can go back to Kalos once you beat the new champion.
And why add more new seperate boxes when we have a perfectly fine iCloud storage waiting for us to be used??

And maybe they can update Kalos and let us obtain the badges again their… so we’ll be getting 16 badges like HGSS
I can see this. And actually, the cartridges hold up to a little over 8gigs. XY take up a little less than 4 gigs. I could see them doing an expansion pack for it.

Sooo technically Diancie IS Carbink’s evolution, but it isn’t. My idea is because Carbink takes many years to be birthed, Diancie is a rare evolution of Carbink that has a very small chance to happen.
