Long ago, back in the year 2013, Samual (moving), Sam and I discussed our mutual love of gaming outside of Pokémon and talked about opening a site that covered all gaming news. Although I bought the domain in March of last year, I didn’t start working on it for several months. We opened up the forum to some members from Mt. Moon Community and our Facebook page (fan perks I guess) and got some initial feedback. Then I got busy again and we started covering news related to Pokémon X & Y. After that was over though… and our semester had finished… we began work again on the site. I had wanted to reveal this on the first of January, but we decided we wanted more time to fix things 🙂
What is Retry Level?
A community-centric gaming site
Although there are a lot of game news sites out there, I felt that they lacked a real sense of community integration. Over the years, PokéJungle (the site, not me) has really inspired me to focus on new media in a way which draws the reader in and makes them a part of the site they’re visiting. To this end we’ve created a gaming site which will (eventually) feature content hubs based on both news AND community threads. They will open in several weeks after we’ve had time to fill up the forum a little.
An independent unbiased source of news and commentary
There’s also the issue of independence which is an important one for me personally. I’m not a fan of sites which are run by large corporations and are driven by how much profit they can milk out of their media properties. I’m not interested in plastering ads on every inch of Retry Level and I want our team to be able to fairly review and comment on games without working about reprisal from advertisers. There have been several incidences on gaming sites in which a reviewer’s score has been called into question.
What are some cool features?
Steam integration
We’ve invested in some plugins which allow our members to login with their Steam IDs, as well as areas of the site on which you can view other gamers who are currently online and what they’re playing. Big plus for PC gamers (like myself).
Twitch integration
Game streaming has become a phenomenon. We allow our members to add their own streams so other members can watch and comment on them. Currently the PC and PlayStation 4 support Twitch streaming and the Xbox One will as well within several months.

If you like how we do things here, you’re going to love Retry Level as well 🙂 The tone is a bit more professional, but we’re definitely the same writers and with the same intense passion for Pokémon and gaming! A cool thing about Retry Level for us is that we’ll get to see some of our regular commenters here also post on our gaming site. Which will make us very happy 😀

because he says this Egg Moved Marill has Outstanding Ivs in Attack, Sp Def, Speed and Sp Attack
It’s missing perfect IVs in Defense and hp, but they’re still decent.

Does anyone hear have an “adamant shiny talonflame” named robin? I could’ve swore I saw a few of you talking about it. cause that Pokemon is currently being mass spread over at serebii chat (it was massively cloned)
I just have the Normal Adamant Talonflame but she’s my Nanny Pokemon
same. I have two shiny talonflames. One of them I caught myself in safari as a fletchinder, it has flame body so I use it as my nanny. And the other shiny galewings adamant I got in at trade definitely isn’t nicknamed Robin

How do you even clone Pokemon in this game. The only place I ever cloned was in Emerald, using that Battle Tower Glitch. And I only ever did it to get multiple master balls, rare candies and vitamins….

Don’t know why, but I always thought it would be bad to use the same type two times in one team (Klefki and Mawile), but that’s probably just me xD You know, I never played competively, but with X and Y being so nice to everyone…
Well I use an all Ground Type team and do pretty well
I assume your strategy goes like this:
Ferrothorn first: sets up entry hazards
Klefki puts up screens/reflect and thunderwaves sweepers
Have the rest handle accordingly
How close was I?
Is there any other way?

They all have a weakness to fire, wouldn’t be a good idea to put things like Empoleon, Aggron, Probopass which are neutral to fire.
Yup also mega aggron isn’t too bad
Terrifying if you ask me. Especially with Filter for an ability and being a pure Steel type
It still dies pretty easily to special hits, and doesn’t have any form of recovery. Wish passing is a good strategy to couple with it..

Yeah, you said regi said to build a team around synergy? Well I’ma posting my newest team idea above, and see if this matches synergy or whatever, because I think it does. Also do you think this team will work? Gimme a sec to post my team idea.
If you think it works go for it. A team could look good on paper, and then turn out to be crap. Or it could look terrible on paper, and turn out really well. Point is, you won’t know till you test it out in battle. So make the team and battle and then make adjustments based on what didn’t work 🙂

Chesnaught and Chansey are a pretty good combo if you need to switch out Chesnaught because a special threat is on the field, you can switch to Chansey and vice versa if a physical threat is on the field.
I’d use Sylveon instead of Umbreon.

Breed Seismic Toss onto it.

Seismic Toss does damage equal to the users level. So at level 50, it’s gonna do 50 HP points of damage. It’s a very reliable attack on a Pokemon like Chansey who isn’t gonna hit hard otherwise.

No, Chesnaught can handle physical attacks, Chansey/Blissey can handle special attacks. I like Chansey more than Blissey, even with the threat of Knock Off users out there.
