The Pokémon Plus & Pokémon Minus Rumors

Although I’m covering this news story, it’s by popular demand. I don’t believe any of this and I highly recommend that you do not either.

The site DualPixels (which has since crashed) claimed to have gotten “information” from a leaker about Generation VII. They claim:

  • Two new games are codenamed Pokémon Plus & Pokémon Minus, could be final
  • The battle system is going to be re-worked completely and simplified
  • New region is based on Southeast Asia, may have islands
  • GameFreak is trying many new ideas out that they’ve been holding onto
  • “Three new starters with no names: Water evolves into Water/Steel and is a squat, teardrop shaped humanoid that has a jar filled with on its head as it evolves it grows taller and the jar bigger until it needs another set of arms to hold it on it’s head. Fire evolves into Fire/Fairy and is a tiny cute goat with fire blowing out of its horns, it’s horns and look evolves more menacing until it has curly ram like horns and a motorcycle hot-rod-like look. Grass evolves into a Grass/Electric and starts with a leap for a face with a nubby root as a body and evolves until it grows into an electric producing palm tree with each flower petal having a different face.”
  • “The main legendary for Pokemon Plus is a Shi Foo Lion-looking Psychic/Ground-type that has multiple faces, the Pokemon Minus legendary is a Ghost/Fairy type that has two dashes for eyes and is a hurricane-like appendages with many arms and hands.”
  • “The new “Team” villains are described as a bunch of “Sohei Zelots”-types who have discovered the player’s best friend as a reincarnation of a special type of person who only is alive every 100 years. They believe the old system where people were given a Pokemon egg and they stick to that Pokemon until they die and who’s function in society dictate what role that person is. They are against the “modern” trend of Pokemon Trainers and capturing multiple Pokemon and are making a holy pilgrimage to evoke the old Legendaries to turn everything back to normal. They keep the player away from their friend, saying the special one (who can do amazing things like mega evolve Pokemon without the use of a mega ring) only love is that of Pokemon and not people. It is planned to be reveal later that for the special one to fulfill their role in society they must be mortally sacrificed to awaken the legendaries.”

  4. You never know. Kalos may be bigger than we had previously thought. With so many NPC’s discussing about “another region” and one of them saying “you’ll soon see it in due time.” I think it’s quite fair to say there will be another game involving Zygarde somehow. It is the Order Pokemon after all. We can only hope and defy gravity for GF to come up with another EPIC Pokemon game.

    • It’s ability is Aura Break, and it’s name is Zygarde (too much if a coincidence) . Also the poke dex entry it has a special power….or something

  8. I just realized this! It’s so stupid XD

    X and Y has huge plot holes that intertwine with NPC back story.

    Fact: Hex Maniac in Lumiose telling you, you’re not the one.
    Rumor: “have discovered the player’s best friend as a reincarnation of a special type of person who only is alive every 100 years.”

    Fact: Editor of Lumiose Press gone missing in search of a legendary Pokemon in the Mountains of Kalos
    Rumor: Eastern Kalos behind the mountains

    Fact: Old man in the Haunted House tells you about mummies with many arms.
    Rumor: “Pokemon Minus legendary is a Ghost/Fairy type that has two dashes for eyes and is a hurricane-like appendages with many arms and hands.”

  19. I agree with Ziaa. The two Hex Maniacs and the message are connected.
    Message: “I’m going to call for help. Wait in the usual spot” This could mean something dangerous was at work and one of the two Hex Maniac is going to call for help.
    Hex Maniac by the elevator: “Don’t talk to me…if you do, I can’t hear the elevator.” She’s the one who is waiting for the second Hex Maniac.
    Hex Maniac Ghost: “No… you’re not the one…” She’s the same Hex Maniac as the one by the elevator but now, she’s dead. She’s trying to find the other Hex Maniac who went for help but can’t find her because that Hex Maniac also got killed.

    Conclusion: Kalos Wars. This happened during the Kalos Wars or is somehow connected to the Heatran. Heatran killed two girls? Or did the horde of “zombies?”

Heres my theory: Ghost girl of Lumiose had befriended Hoopa in the past while she was young… Hoopa was then wanted by the people of Lumiose because it caused too much mischief in the city, as we know, Hoopa’s ability as a unique Pokemon is to travel/warp through warp holes… Alexa’s boss took notice of its extraordinary powers and then decided to chase it around… As stated before, Ghost Girl was Hoopa’s friend, so as it ran away from the city, Ghost Girl hoped for it to return and then she wrote the messages on the billboards… Hoping it would know where to search if it ever returned…

  24. I started using a Life Orb Yveltal on Pokemon showdown. Just playing a bit of Ubers. Oh my god, it’s so amazing.
    It beats any Mewtwo or MegaMewtwo with Sucker Punch and stops Xerneas setting up with Taunt. Oblivion Wing for insane recovery, and Dark Pulse to hit things for big damage.

  25. This what I want. More dark NPC’s. Game Freak could possibly make a puzzle out of this as everyone seems to know it by now. Three hidden messages in X and Y. Three new hidden messages in the sequels.
