Remember Pokémon Bank, the 3DS app that lets you transfer your old Pokémon to Pokémon X&Y? Well, it’s now released on the eShop! Wait, what’s that you say? The eShop is down? Pokémon Bank isn’t on the eShop? Ohh, I see now! Apparantly too many people bought a 3DS and Wii U as Christmas presents and the network went down from everyone wanting to download their system updates and digital games. Nintendo didn’t think the Wii U would actually sell, so I guess they took no preparations.
Luckily we’re all going to be paying $5 a year so we have reliable Bank servers, so Pokémon Bank should go live the moment the eShop goes back up, right? Nope. As the eShop servers went down, they took the online storage servers of Bank with them. Even if you had downloaded the game, it still wouldn’t work. So much for seperate, reliable servers. Just hope the $5 goes to development of RSE remakes instead of a new sportscar for each Gamefreak executive. Pokémon Bank has now got the tentative release date of To be determined which is not of much help. Still, I’d expect it in the next week or two, once the Christmas/New Year’s rush cools down.
Hope you all had a nice, exhausting Christmas, like I had! I also hope you don’t have to study like I do! I’m going to tackle Organic Chemistry for a while, see you soon. I also didn’t forget about PJM, an update will go live in the coming days.

it desperately needed a good physical stab move. fire fang doesn’t cut it, and flare blitz is event exclusive move and limited to a certain nature

OMG I just noticed there is only one Gastrodon version in XY. The pink one (West version). This pretty much confirms that we’ll be traveling to the region to the right of Kalos, the east region, to get the blue one.

Meowth in XY is the best I’ve ever seen it look in a Pokemon game. Kind of makes me want to use one just for laughs lol. Only thing missing was the “meeeooowth!” cry from the anime. How dare they give Pikachu its anime cry but not Meowth.

Whoa I didn’t know Pick Up ability can find items during battle. I thought it was only after battle. Before I used earthquake my phanpy paused and picked up an oran berry it found.

I also didn’t know XY has interactive environments. I would love to see more of this in future games. Yesterday I was in terminus cave looking for the orbs, and I was battling a wild graveler or some one. And I had used surf on it and broke a rock in the background and found a heart scale during the battle.
WTF i never knew that
yep next time you’re in a cave battling, pay attention the background. If you see a huge rock against the wall, use surf against your enemy and it’ll break the rock and give you an item after the pokemon faints.

i’m not sure if only surf works.. but I know surf works cause its water splashing against everything so it breaks the rock in the background. Earthquake most likely works as well.
