Miiverse coming to 3DS tomorrow

The 3DS’ network function will undergo maintenance very soon. In fact, by the time you are probably reading this, the Nintendo eShop will be offline. Once the maintenance ends at around 5AM for the UK, or Monday night for the US, an update for the 3DS will go live shortly after.

This update contains two major features. First, it allows you to create a Nintendo Network ID (NNID) similar to that of the Wii U. Second, it will allow you to post to Miiverse communities using a specialised app contained within the system update.

If you have a Wii U, you can register your existing NNID on your 3DS. Be warned that only one NNID can be coupled to a 3DS. If you don’t have a Wii U, you can choose your new moniker on the 3DS itself. The NNID will eventually replace friend codes, with details yet unconfirmed. It is currently unknown if you still have to exchange friend codes or that your NNID will be linked to your friend code. Older games will also still probably rely on friend code interactions when viewing your in-game friend lists.

Miiverse is like Facebook for games, giving you to chance to share drawings and screenshots (for supported games). You can browse people’s timelines and ‘Yeah’ (like) them as you wish. Major games will feature a community in which you can discuss everything related to that game. It is expected that Pokémon X & Y will receive their own community. Even if you are in-game, you can always go to Miiverse by pressing the Home button and clicking on the Miiverse icon.

This updates will also merge your Wii U and 3DS eShop wallet. However, know that this still doesn’t count as a real account system and your purchases are still tied to your console instead of your NNID. This may change in the future however, with this update laying the foundation.

So, once you wake up tomorrow (or if you stay up late), check your 3DS for the new system update! Let’s hope we’ll still see you around here then :).

So, i looked at my team, and i wondered what i should have on it, and i looked at the amaura thegreatwyvern gave me, and i realized that Refrigereate AAmaura isn’t the best, and if i breed it, the children won’t be as special, so im at a standstill. do i use the amaura, or the wartortle umbreon lifts gave me. PLZ HALP!

          • Okay. But the thing is, the wartortle doesn’t have aura sphere and dragon pulse, so it’s a bit of an issue for me, as those moves would be a big help. could you recommend a moveset for the blastiose, and for the bulbasaur if i decide not to use it as my mega

          • Hmmm. In that case go Ice Beam + Dark Pulse(TM) + water move + Rapid Spin. Ferrothorn is really the only thing you need aura sphere for.

          • Okay thanks. Rapid spin isn’t an egg move, right? and what about the bulba. since it comes from you, i figured you’d be the best person to consult about it

          • Rapid Spin is level up so no worries. For bulba max hp + max def. Synthesis (must), EIther grass move (your preference), sludge bomb + Earthquake. Use him to help switch out more easily without worrying about weaknesses to much.

          • I have a modest Water Pulse, Aura Sphere, Dragon PUlse Aqua jet squirtle. this ones for the pj team, so the other one cant be a part of it

Ive been thinking and this has nothing to do with Pokemon I just feel like I must say this for the future if I ever offend anyone here I’m really sorry and I don’t mean it I need to stop joking so much because I fear I go overboard sometimes just tell me if I do because I dont want to hurt anyone’s feelings or sound mean I feel its important because I want to get along with others and guilt weighs in heavily if I do or say something hurtful.I appreciate honesty even if I feel hurt from it because I need to know if I did something to anyone that you dont like ^.^ thank you for taking the time to read if you did xD

  25. 17 days until Pokétransporter is available for us in North America!!! We’ll finally be able to see unobtainable olg gen Pokémon’s sprites, unobtainable moves (unless you used Metronome), activate in-game events, and of course…BREED LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW!!! (I feel bad for saying that).

      • What I constantly worry though, is if I’ll be able to transfer my Meloetta and Genesect. I created them from Pokégen, a software that allows you to have any Pokémon with any ability, moves, nature, EVs, IVs, and shininess. Yes that sounds bad, but I used it to give myself and my brother those two. I made them as legit as possible, but I don’t know if that’ll be enough to transfer them over.
