Dae asks: How connected are you?

News is crawling by slower than a three-toed sloth. I guess you can’t really promote new games when you still want to sell the old ones :). Bring on the spin-offs in January, please.

Anyway, today’s about a major feature of Pokémon: connectivity. Even more than 15 years ago, Pokémon was designed to bring people together to let them trade and battle. Nowadays, with the internet having gained solid ground, staying connected is easier than ever. With the PSS in Pokémon XY, battling is as simple as pushing one button. This leads me to my question: how connected are you? How many friends have you got in your friends list. How many times do you battle and trade everyday? Do you talk a lot about your battles with your friends in online chat, or even at the playground? And who’s considered the best local battler of his friend group/family?

It’s hard to make up news, and we don’t have coverage that is coming to a close that actually gets delayed and trickled to pretend there’s still news, so if you have any ideas, hit us up in the comments. Maybe I should try to write my own Pokéology, seeing as we have no clue what Mechanos is up to. You can comment in the meantime below this article, but everyone who spams too much will be put on the ‘spamlist of shame’ for everyone to see. Happy commenting!

  1. I love the PSS. It should’ve been added last gen. I think that because the 3DS has a better processor than the DSi they could’ve kept video chat… I also love that we don’t have to leave and re enter a union room to change a team. We can just exit and tap the button. I’m the best player in my family by default! Yay default!

    • I think Drought Ninetails would mess with Mega Venusaur and Rotom-W a bit unless Venusaur had chlorophyll before the Mega Evolution. For Rotom-W, it would be best used outside the weather.

  4. John Hocker’s Pokémon Thanks-Giveaway LAST CALL

    PLEASE NOTE:
I have to get off very soon and won’t be on for quite a while today. If people comment back while I’m gone, I will go by who commented first! So, if I don’t response to you pretty quick, please try and look through to see if someone else has reserved the one you wished to have. If no one has and you were first to comment while I’m gone, it’s yours!

This is the LAST form of reservation that I will be providing. After this, the remaining Pokemon will be fair game to whoever wants them (so tomorrow, if you want all my remaining Sneasels, feel free, etc.) Shroomish and Togepi are in very little supply, so hurry up if you want one!

Below, I will go through each and every Pokémon available, including gender, nature, IVs, egg moves, etc., so people can pick and choose which one they want.

    What Pokémon are available?

Togepi, Shroomish, Sneasel, Gastly, Froakie, and Dratini are the six Pokemon that I have in bunches. All have Outstanding potential and at least 4 perfect IVs.

    How do I get one?

All I need from you is which one you want to reserve. For example, if you like Togepi #6, then comment and say you want Togepi #6. If that one is available, I put you in that slot for that Pokémon.

This whole thing sounds too good to be true. Where’s the catch?

There’s no catch! You can give me ANY Pokémon you want. Want to trade me a Bidoof? Cool! How about a Weedle? Just as good! A spare IV Pokémon you have? Fine with me! This Thanks-Giveaway is my way of thanking this community for being awesome.

I will go Pokemon by Pokemon. I will give notes on things that all Pokemon have (ex. All the Togepi have Serene Grace). Then, I will list each individual Pokémon’s gender, nature, and missing perfect IVs.

All Pokemon are at LEVEL 1 unless otherwise stated!

  5. I love the PSS, its quite nifty and easy to use, its pretty organized in how it’s setup.
I have a lot of friends on PSS now because of safaris, battles, etc.
I don’t want to comment on the chat, what happens there, stays there.
I’m the best in my family by default since I’m them only one that still plays pokemon .-.
