It has been recently discovered that if you now buy copies of Pokémon X & Y at a Walmart in the states, they will contain special serial codes. If you buy Pokemon X you’ll get a serial code to download a special Garchomp; if you get Y you’ll get one for a special Scizor. Both of these serial codes are one-time use only.
The details of these event Pokemon as well as how long this promotion lasts hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you guys updated!

IMO, the Pokemon they are distributing is quite biased:
Scizor’s BST is 500, 600 in MEvo
Garchomp BST is 600, 700 in MEvo
Its technically better to buy X over Y, but then again, Scizor kicks a lot of butt.

I use both on my team and wow, do they wreck things in doubles together, meta with choice band and adamant nature and mega t tar with max evs and Ivs In attack
AV is overrated. Tyranitar without stealth rock is useless
Say that to my t tar that has destroyed many pokemon without taking much damage, assault vest and sandstorm gives his weaker defence a boost making him a bulky sweeper, and a damn good one too
get to 2200+ ladder on Showdown. Look at the team….no one use AV Ttar cuz it’s deadweight

It’s like saying that mega gengar is useless because the pokemon has run away
305 atk is not threatening anyone. Run Away doesn’t allow you to escape Shadow Tag. And 100% of Gengar’s don’t have Perish Song, cuz it’s illegal atm.
Try using greninja without a life orb and see how far that gets you. Cuz TTar essensially has the same atk as spatk of non life orbed greninja

305 attack? Is that if you have max special defence instead of attack?
yeah AV Ttar has max hp and spdef so it’s atk is 305 with 4 EVs investment at level 100
My ev spread is
252 ATK
130 def
120 hp
(The last two are roughly what it is I can’t remember my set up completely)
Not to mention I have adamant nature so yeah, not everyone maxes the spc def and I don’t always use av I sometimes use choice band so yeah, he can be a monster sometimes
If that is adamant, then it’s out classed by Mega TTar
The only reason AV TTar is popular is because it has more sp.def than Mega TTar
I could have sworn I said that I switch out for mega tyranitar(staranitar is the nickname I give his mega evo since he looks like a star)
I have a Ttar with AV as well you know, and it’s really predictable. Everone assumes TTar is AVed, so it’s predictable.
There is only a few occasions I use him,
1. When I’m running mega kanghaskan which is a monster after revenge killing with power up punch
2. When I want to use choice band
3. When I want to try a new mega evo on my team
4. When I mega evo him into staranitar
He is not predictable with me
Maybe you haven’t faced smarter opponents. Any one who sees TTar, just predicts the switch and burns it. And then it’s dead weight. Support Ttar can actually do something when it’s burned. Ttar is on every team, people always overpredict to gat TTar on the switch.
i.e Talonflame with will-o-wisp
Aromatisse with healer in doubles and aromatherapy for the team in singles
yeah good luck no being 2HKoed. I have a cleric on my team as well. They are easily trapped by Mega Gengar, KOed and then you are back to the same scenario without a cleric.
It’s just to compromise for the burn or stats and sometimes, it works. Not everything is going to work a lot and mega gengar is easy to predict when they want to send in because you know it’s something they want to take out and you should know what on your team poses a threat when it can set up or even just set up for others like baton passers and clerics
Either way my point is that AV Ttar is overrated. It’s not as good as people think it is. Support TTar is still as good as it was last gen. I’m not saying it’s unusable, but I think the biggest issue with AV Ttar is that if you don’t invest in atk, it’s deadweight, but if you do, it’s outclassed by Mega Ttar sp.defensively, defensively and offensively.
Your saying at a point of view where if you choose the path of not mega evolving and stick with av then it’s rubbish for attack, not everyone sticks with the same setup
You just have to think out of the box that’s how my t tar manages to become a little unpredictable. Some think I might mega ev, some might think I assault vest when sometimes I use choice band, t tar will be majority of the time not a ‘deadweight’ just use him right and he can be amazing
Of course he’s amazing. I’ve personally tested AV Ttar, Leftovers Support Ttar, Mega Support TTar. The one that brought me up the ladder to 2100+ on showdown was Mega Support Ttar, for 6 vs 6 singles. But I do like the fact that your TTar has Atk investment!
Depends if you have another Pokemon to set them up or not. Tyranitar has many variants which are all just as viable as the next…

Tyranitar is simply a beast. 7 weaknesses and still wrecks the metagame….like only Tyranitar can…
