Pokémon X & Pokémon Y introduced some great new social features to the Pokémon series, and we understand that our readers are keen on battling, trading and interacting with one another in the game. A week or so back we created a Friend Safari post so that our readers could swap their codes for one another to add. Since before X & Y released we wanted to create some sort of database that would work alongside a set of systems we would release after release, only now are we starting the project though. A mention to the Pokémon forum at GameFAQs must be made for the inspiration for the execution of this.
We’re launching this database in preparation for some of the future systems we’re going to release and us such it’s a very crude and simple version of what the final product would hopefully look like. While initially only the database will be available we’re hoping to launch several other features for X & Y, which will include a Battle Spot and Trading Post. These two will allow our readers (and hopefully anyone on the internet) to publish requests for battles and trades, much like the GTS in game, but with a more social approach. We’ll provide further details on those soon, so stay tuned!
To submit your details to the Friend Code database you simply have to fill out the submission form. When filling it out please use correct grammar and punctuation and follow the simple guidelines we have listed, this helps to organise the information and allows us to filter out any inappropriate content. In order to view and check both your own and details of others please view the Friend Code Database.
It is important to note that we are essentially launching this as a beta, in order to test the simple functions and scripts Google provides; it is not final. If successful the feature will become an important part of the site. If the project doesn’t take off we will reconsider our approach and make future decisions based on feedback and reception. As always we’d like to hear your feedback on this project, and any suggestions you have for other things you’d like to see us implement on the site in the comments. Feel free to ask any questions or raise any issues you have with anything site related and we will do our best to resolve them.

Anyone feel the irony of Mawile being considered too overpowered?
I love it. Mawile has pretty much sucked up until this Gen. Always liked Mawile, so unique. It’s why I was so happy when Fabian traded me a Mawilite before I was able to complete the game ^_^
Mawile never looked threatening enough to my taste, but now it does. And is quite a powerhouse. Irony at its best.
So that’s how you got it so early!!! xD
I didn’t have Mawilite before beating the game and my Mawile was still powerful enough to take on any challenge. It’s all thanks to the Super training and Fairy type upgrades, that and Mawile’s quick leveling up.
Stockpile w/ Power-Up Punch and Baton Pass is extremely effective

The Japanese one I had gotten over Wonder Trade had good IVs. So I wanted to try my luck breeding for a Shiny. And I was hoping to pass along the good IVs, so I caught one in Friend Safari to breed with the Japanese one. Wound up breeding 3 perfect ones, but no Shiny, I gave up. And I’ve stayed loyal to Robin 🙂
That’s true dedication….I feel the same way about my Slowbro…I wanna breed for a better one….but Slowbro was the one pokemon I’ve always depended on 😀
It’s hard removing that attachment :’) Sometimes you just can’t! Like my first ever Pokemon, Sceptile, who I can’t wait to transfer over ^_^

Well greninja got the first power up punch, then it almost OHKO me with stone edge when i was fighting type. But it was okay because I got the second power up punch and lived through the sandstorm after I KOed it.

That’s interesting…I should try it one mine. I deleted dragon dance but can go to move relearner to learn it back. It might work, mines careful but no speed EVs so maybe….I guess
Also watch out for belly drum aqua jet azumarills.
I have counters for that, unless it’s max speed xD
The one I fought was either good hp, defence or a mix of those.
They typically aren’t max speed so I can easily tank +6 Aqua Jet And KO back if half health. But if it has sitrus, I have to get to a low enough HP to finish with E-speed

Looks like I may need to replace seed bomb for Wood Hammer then for the KO xD
Tje worst part was that I used acrobatics and hit it to just above half health with greninja. and it was random matchup so 3vs3 and my other two pokemon didn’t resist water or have priority.
Yeah it’s hard to find a good physical water resist that can also KO back. Ferro gets wrecked by Superpower. AND I doubt Breloom can tank a +6 aqua jet. This leaves you with M. Venusaur and Chesnaught. The other water types typically can’t KO back without getting hit by play rough or Aqua Jet.
Talonflame
Well there’s that but you have to sacrifice someone to bring it in safely.
Yeah, but it’s nice because Talonflame counters many other things as well. It’s hard to make a team that can counter everything.
Talonflame basically killed a lot of threatening setup sweepers like Volcarona, Salamence, weakened Dragonites and many others. Now people are going for move defensive setup sweepers or just trying to take talonflame out first and foremost.
Everyone should have a plan for opposing talonflames.
It’s amazing how the gen 6 common bird, made such a huge splash in competitive, that no one overlooks Talonflame as the 1st threat. Talonflame is way more dangerous than Aegislash if overlooked xD
I guess Mega Manectric would get the job done because it is faster and resists the flying priority.
I was thinking of using one after seeing so many greninja leads also. Give it protect and mega evolve for scouting. I wanna try it out.

At the moment I’m using scarf u-turn flygon for greninja leads
Earlier I was using greninja as a lead and the other person lead with scarf uturn hydriegon
Maybe people will eventually start off with sash or Scarf Greninja since it essentially has a Choice Band and Specs already attached for all non STAB moves due to protean.
I want to go with a sash for mine because no flying gem. Would be nice for brelooms mach punch, because mine has acrobatics.
for brelooms and blazkens I typically use shadow sneak and then follow it with Ice beam or HPump. I saw alot of greninjas’ use scald, is this because of Hpump’s accuracy or because they think the opponent will switch?
You make me want to make a special greninja with shadow sneak. I think some people just like to be able to burn things, but I wouldn’t go with scald for a greninja.
This gen priority is so important it’s not even funny any more. I love using SSneak on Sacred Sword Aegislash xD.
It was also such good balace to take away steels resistances. dark, ghost
I just feel bad about Metagross and Bronzong….but not Jirachi xD

I don’t know why people use gooey on goodra. It has terrible defences and almost all contact moves are physical. I like Sap Sipper on mine.
If its singles it shouldnt be out with physical pokemon, if its doubles it shouldnt be there.
Maybe it could draco meteor followed by a teammates topsyturvy.

Sure but not now. I’m finishing up my singles team at the moment. But I’m planning to make a doubles team next.
I am also putting together a singles team right now and will be making my own doubles team later.
Protect is a must have in doubles. So a lot of pokemon that don’t have many moveset options in singles become really good in doubles
Fake-out is invaluable.
