I did the Soothe Bell, I’ll try Amie.
For future reference, Amie and Friendship are two different things. So no use in wasting time on Amie 😛
I suggest doing this: Give it the Soothe Bell, ride the bike like 10-20 times on Route 7 (Daycare place) and then run into a patch of grass to level it up.
Wow, I had no idea. At least two hours of my life wasted before XD I’ll try the Route 7 thing since I’m already there.
You gain Friendship points for about 200 steps I believe. That is halved by the Soothe Bell. It may seem like a long time to do this is needed but it’s really not. Have it at the front of your party and have it participate in battles. Do not let it faint. Give it vitamins and pretty soon you should have a Swoobat 🙂

What stats does Mega Charizard X raise?
Attack mostly. Charizard Y raises Special Attack mostly.

I use hordes to EV train. Really easy if you have Pokerus + An all attack move such as Surf. To call Horde Battles, use a Pokemon with Sweet Scent such as Ivysaur, Bulbasaur, Combee, etc.

If you get bored of Horde EV training, just use Super Training to finish off all of the training.

The only time I restarted was when I got a used Pokemon Pearl (First Pokemon game) and the user was named “Cowtits.” I hated D/P/Pt because I was SO bored of replaying it. I played all of D/P/Pt and and it gets REALLY boring repeating the same things and having to do the same things all over again. I have never once touched D/P/Pt ever again. I know everything by memory.
