I’m trying to evolve a Togepi so I can breed for egg moves, and I’ve spent my whole morning to get the little fucker to like me. I maxed out bonds instead.

Same way they do now. Eevee has to know a fairy move while leveling up.
Doesn’t it also need at least 2 hearts of Affection? Because what if you want Espeon/Umbreon to know that Fairy move too?

That means pokemon amie is a MUST on future pokemon games otherwise eevee can’t evolve into sylveon.
I’ve got no problem with that, I enjoy Amie ^_^ They just need to make some more mini-games on it that are actually fun like Head it.

I did the exact same thing with my Eevee except I tried to raise its happiness instead and ended up with an Espeon instead of Sylveon.

So, I’m training a malamar this weekend (I have a 5 day one). Can someone tell me EVs, nature, moveset and strategy? (I’ve always been bad with stat effects can someone tell me a topsy turvy strategy if its even worth it)
I have a strategy! I invested Evs into HP, defense, and Sp. Defense. It knows Foul play, trick room, swagger, and Topsy Turvy. With the ability contrary. I call it my MindFuck or Mind Rape strategy.
Which evs are the 252 ones?
I would re come putting full Evs in one stat. I did that once for my Bastiodon and it’s got low hp and decent sp. Defense.

I did 200 Hp, 180 defense, and 128 special defense
I’ll do it!
It’s best to have bulk in my opinion. You can always raise stats.
After all, you are very defensive!

Had the same thoughts once I knew they nerfed Steel. Metagross used to be the beast in shining armor that save the day.

I’m sorry to break this to you but if your EVs and IVs ant good you will get wreaked.
I don’t care. It’s IVs are perfect in sp.atk, def, hp, and speed. I trained it in 252 def, 252 sp.def and 4 hp. I aint gonna get wrecked with my reflect and lightscreen. Plus safeguard. Those moves are on my gardevoir who will go in first and protect my team. She also has heal pulse.
Now he has to wear an assault jacket to be of use 🙁

Somehow I can’t help but wonder: Are these people newbies resorting to OP pokes to look good? Because having Xerneas repeatedly use Dazzling Gleam on my Charizard isn’t a very smart move.
Of course, why else? I trained a great team, legit. I worked hard just to get creamed by a xerneas, zapdos and mega blazekein in a triple battle. There just being noobish in my opinion!

I can barely find hordes of mareep pretty much every encounter is a horde of wingull.
For SpA…Vanilite Hordes in frost cavern, or Spinda Hordes in route 21 are better…

I hear those things are pretty common around route 2 but you have to watch out for those bidoofs some say it’s only a myth that they exist.

It’s pretty easy in this game I’ve got 27 so far and I only have one shiny prior to X and Y.
I was hunting for a shiny mareep and I was trying to avoid shiny wingull.
Weakness Policy….on Multiscale Dragonite. DD while someone uses a super effective attack (tank it like a boss because Multiscale). Instant +3 attack, +2 special attack and +1 speed….proceed to wreck anything not fairy

Yeh, that’s the biggest problem. I think it would work best as a late game sweeper…..once you’ve taken out their fairy types and weakened their team. But then weakness policy might not get much use at that point…it is a tough one….but it’s awesome when it works.
That’s why I can’t wait to transfer my Dratini’s that know Extremespeed when we get PokeBank. That’s the final member of my team.
