I still remember the first year the 3DS launched. It was one rough year, with barely any worthwhile games released for the system. After half a year a massive price cut was issued and people thought Nintendo were doomed forever. Nintendo put all their effort in making the 3DS the success it should have been. After a lukewarm 2012 Nintendo tried to hit back with big hits in 2013, one of those being Pokémon X & Y.
People were saying for over two years that they would never the failure that is 3DS, but the tides seem to have turned looking back at the recent hardware sales. Now I ask you: did Pokémon pull you over? Or did you already have a 3DS well before Pokémon was even announced? Or were it multiple games that made you buy it but Pokémon was the decisive factor? Tell me all about it in the comments!

i just got a helioptile safari about an hour and half ago started searching in it and found two shiny electrodes about 20 mins apart from each other. Luxio also appears here so I wouldn’t mind a shiny of that either.
So have you pretty much confirmed that the Safari has higher shiny chances?
Definetly, at least I’m 50% sure.
i’m positive its higher, every shiny i have ever found in the safari (about 5 or 6) have all been found under 1 hour

i really just pop in a movie or an album to listen too and devote an hour or so of my day to finding a shiny, i just sit there running from wild’s and boom always end up finding one. I love that feeling of seeing the sparks and having your heart drop lol.
The friend safari I was using had helioptile, dedenne, and luxio, all of which I would enjoy, but I got the best of all in my opinion. It was worth all of my weekend’s free time.

A florges, definetly a florges, I have one and THEY ARE OP!!!! A florges as my last pokemon in a multi battle took out all six pokemon, even with my partner all fainted. Two words: USE FLORGES!!!

I hate battling my cousins Florges. Its such a good special wall tank and with “Wish” can be an annoyance.
Mine has a non-competitive moveset. He was just my playthrough pokemon but I use him still becausew I’m still working with my competitive team.
Here’s a counter against Florges. Use a Physical Poison or Steel type move with STAB.
Steel yes but poison with STAB can be countered by Psychic.

Competitive battling is so hard -_- So much strategy involved.
It is indeed lol, I often get myself in trouble by just going right at it with force and not predicting what my opponent will do. Like I see type advantage, I’m gonna use a move that’s strong. Instead, opponent switches to withstand the attack I was using xD
But that’s all part of the learning process for me. I’m new to competitive battling too. I’ve EV trained Pokemon, but just because I was a stat person and liked seeing how high I could make certain stats. Testing them in battle is a whole new thing. Thanks to Pokejungle for allowing me to meet so many other Pokefans that I can chat and battle with 😀
I have a pretty good moveset planned for Talonflame. It has great potential, one of the early bird Pokemon.
I have a few Pokemon on my list for competitive battling based on battles with other people. I’m sad to let Nurse Joy go but it might have to be done. When Pokemon Bank comes, everyone is going to have to readjust their team again. I don’t know if I should wait or if I should readjust my team now.

Well, that’s the thing about Pokemon 😀 There are hundreds and hundreds of options to train and battle with, see what works and what doesn’t work so well. It allows you to make constant team adjustments so that battles don’t get too dull when using the same team 🙂
Though of course you’ll come across favorites that are a must have on your competitive teams…like Talonflame for me 😉
Sometimes I think of training every Pokemon there is (except for legendaries and horrible options) to have the best variety of them all. I would be unstoppable since you never know what I would use XD

And if anyones asking why I have Inkay as my lead in all my screenshots its cause I plan on using its suction cups ability for chain fishing and it has my smoke ball for fleeing battles.

I bought my first 3DS on launch. I bought Tom Clancey’s: Shadow Wars with it and I played for it for a while.(One of the hidden gems on the 3DS) I don’t think I bought another game for it until MK7 or Kid Icarus, which ever came out first. Though, I played Black 2 on it, so it never did collect dust.
