NHK has finished airing and revealed a mysterious new Pokémon game, starring Dr Watso Pikachu! This spin-off seems to be some creepy detective game. Not much is known, except that it will feature a Blue Pikachu that apparently can talk (must be due to Fukushima) and who is the villain. The developers used motion capture to give Pikachu better facial expressions, but I have no idea where they got the Pikachu to do that from. More details will likely be released in the following months/years.
Also mentioned was a Pokémon Trozei (Link) sequel, but it appears to be abandoned, or maybe it will see life as an eShop only title. Stay tuned for that too!
OLD: The teaser trailer released last week and has teased an all new game with Tsunekazu Ishihara appearing on the show sharing some details on the game that is currently in development. We’ll provide details ASAP!

Shofu uses a 3ds capture card, it’s a modified 3ds

That’s how I was about X and Y, except the reason I “didn’t want” pokemon Y was because I didn’t have a 3ds. On the inside I was planning on how to get money.

Conspiracy Time!
Usually all main game legends have a 680 total (crystal exception, Suicune). Does this mean the 3rd game will not follow the classic pattern and be spmething different. I assume they won’t repeat B2/W2 again in favour of new ideas and concepts. This kinda supports Marriland’s theory of either a time travel/adventure in the past or new region with post game access to Kalos. I really hope it’s a third game with a new region. If so, this might be the first game generation to cover over 85% of the national dex, we already have 455/721 (including rumored trio) which is around 63%.

I think this new region could be like the transition we saw from Kanto to Johto, were there was some new pokemon, and everything from the previous generation just felt connected to johto in some way. Also, if you look at the Kalos map to the right you’ll see that some of that area is covered by clouds, and we can clearly see that there’s land there. I think there hiding that area

I think a prequel wouldn’t work, because then, where is your future?
If any prequel I think they should make a black and white one where you are on of the brothers who fought to make zekrom and reshiram, and whichever person you chose, that decided your legendary.This is not my idea, though.

I think this pretty much guarantees we’ll see another Zygarde form, probably more of a “battle” form as opposed to this stagnant form that we see currently in Zygarde. And I really like Marriland’s theory.
yes, I think that the story could be about the Ultimate Weapon. a travel to the past with A-Z as the major enemy. It will be the era in which Mega Stones are created, so It makes more sense that there will be a lot of new mega stones, new pokemon (a secondary legendary trio), and that new region that is hinted in XY, far away from Kalos, perhaps we will have something similar to Kanto-Johto ?
That could explain why we don’t have many new Pokemon. Maybe in the next (main, non-remake) games of this gen we’ll get a second batch of new Pokemon?
I know for a fact Zygorde will have a new form. Its pokedex entries support this theory. It will reveal its “true power” and how it sets the ecosystem back in order etc.
I can also imagine a prequel style game, can also imagine a new region that lets u go to a updated kalos after we beat the new region. Point is, we are definitely getting a gen 6.5 with more 6th gen pokes.
If we was to get a prequel, I can imagine Bronzor having a new form. Its pokedex says it once reflected like a mirror.
Who else thinks when they reveal the hoenn sequels, In the beginning of the reveal trailer, the words “HURREN CUNFFURRMED” should flash across the screen?
