All of the New Pokémon in Pokémon X&Y

New Pokémon

Notes: The image above was not made by me. It came from either 4chan’s /vp/ board or Reddit. Props to the creator, it is very well done.

More new Pokémon…?

Currently there are several Mega Stones that have been found, but the Pokémon has not: Druddigon, Heracross, and Galvantula. Profilic Pokémon Black & White leaker “Hiro” also said that Scizor would be getting one too. A legendary trio could also surface in Kalos as well as unseen downloadable Legendaries.

What do you think? Are you OK with the smaller number of “new” Pokémon? Do you like the concept of Mega Evolutions and their role in battles?

  3. I think somebody who have the game already and able to get through the Pokemon League and beat the champion should battle the Pokemon League for the second time. Maybe the number of pokemon they’ll use will increase and also I hear some rumors that the champ will be different, and will be a more relevant Champ.

    And one more thing…

Do anyone know anything about the post game? Because I also heard rumors that new pokemons are only catchable after the main game. The National Dex is pretty complex this gen and supposed to open up slides that is why new pokemons are still possible even the confirmed dex number of Zygarde are already known. Do somebody found anything about this yet?

    Reply
    • No.Nintendo wouldnt make a new gen and not let you catvh the new ones in the game. No, I can’t see that happening. Sorry.

      • So maybe we should just wait for it for couple of days. I’m just hoping somebody found about these. Somebody just said about it that there are a fair number of new pokemon this gen and only accessible post game. That someone browse the Guide book of X & Y. So anything is still possible. 🙂

          • Wait, you just named three Pokemon that are Dark types… Wasn’t Murkrow post E4 too? Ha ha ha, GF made a new type and didn’t even make it available till postgame! At least Gen VI makes 17% of the new Pokemon Fairys and shows you them right off the bat.

          • Yup! The only Dark type available in the main game was Umbreon. Steel was not much better. Skarmory and Forretress were the only new ones available before the league. Magneton could also be caught but wasn’t exactly new. The only way to get Scizor or Steelix before the league was to find a Magnemite holding Metal Coat and that’s pretty rare plus trading wasn’t easy back then.

          • Which was near impossible to get because Friendship evolution was soooooo slow in Gen II (or maybe I was just an impatient 9 year old…).

          • Espeon was (and is) one of my favorite Pokemon, but I didn’t get one until I got handed the shard to make it evolve in XD.

          • It wasn’t harder just not very well known back then…. not a lot of people knew exactly how to go about speeding up friendship increase. I certainly didn’t back then.

  4. I know this will sound suspicious but there is a guy who has the game (and showed me proof) and we were talking and he managed to get more info on mega evolutions. i don’t care if u believe me. i just want to share this information. there are 60 mega evolutions:
venusaur, charizard, blastoise, alakazam, machamp, golem, gengar, eggxacutor (i think thats how its spelled), kangaskahn, lapras, dragonite, mewtwo
meganium, typholsion, feraligatr, xatu, ampharos, sudowoodo, wubbafet, scizor, heracross, donphan, tyranitar, celebi
sceptile, blaziken, swampert, gardivour, sableye, mawille, aggron, zangoose, tropius, absol, salamance, metagross
torterra, infernape, empoleon, luxray, driffblim, garchopm, lucario, drapion, carnivine, abomasnow, porygon z, gallade
serperior, emboar, samurott, zebstrika, scrafty, cofarigus, zoroark, galvantula, druddigon, bouffolant, volcarona, genesect

  7. Okay, updates on Gourgeist.

    Josh has leveled past 50
    Tried a Leaf Stone
    Tried Pokemon Amie
    Tried Malimar upside-down method

He is still looking for a dusk stone, though I am thinking a rare candy might oddly be the method. Think about it, CANDY, for the trick-or-treating pokemon. Though, I think ultimately the method will be something brand new and unexpected.

    Reply
    • Im pretty sure he already tried a rare candy. I honestly thought it would be the Malimar method…. look slike a Dusk Stone will be it.

    • Doesn’t Doublade evolve with a dusk stone? Would they really make both that and Pumpkaboo evolve with that. Because then I’d assume Phantump does too (sorta kinda being counterparts…), and then that means all three of our ghost types evolve using dusk stones….okay, maybe I’m really over thinking it.

      Reply
      • Honestly, I think it will have something do with it’s form sizes, so yeah, not sure about the dusk stone…they don’t usually have to stone evolutions in the same generation.

  9. Does anyone else play through as characters from other series? For Gen V I used Harry Potter characters, and I think I’ll use the golden trio from Star Trek: TOS this time around.

      • That, or I use their name, personality, etc. for the trainer. I tend to anthropomorphize my Pokémon a bit and give them back stories and whatnot to make them a little less two-dimensional. It makes it more fun, in my opinion.

        • Haha that’s really unique! I just name my pokemon after stuff I like that fits them. So Hp, marvel, star wars, lotr, hunger games, walking dead, stuff like that 🙂 But only if the name fits them! Such as: Naming my serperior salazar or nagini and not just a random name that doesn’t work for a snake

          • It gives you more ways to be punny, too. I just played through SS with a Nidoking named Kingsley. The purple was just calling to me…

          • That’s perfect! I named my galvantula aragog and my zebstrika tenebrus (Hagrid’s thestral that he names) No one ever remembers tenebrus in the book but I do!

    • Yes! I often pair them up and name them after book/ TV show/ whatever couples/characters. I base them, or at least one of the pair off of personality and looks of the Pokemon. My X team is mostly based on the Hex Hall characters/couples with one pair from another random book I own. My Y team is based on Divergent. :3

  10. Is it just me or do the tiny little sprites in the PC and in your party make the game that much more exciting because of how clear and distinguished they are? 🙂
