More new Pokémon…?
Currently there are several Mega Stones that have been found, but the Pokémon has not: Druddigon, Heracross, and Galvantula. Profilic Pokémon Black & White leaker “Hiro” also said that Scizor would be getting one too. A legendary trio could also surface in Kalos as well as unseen downloadable Legendaries.
What do you think? Are you OK with the smaller number of “new” Pokémon? Do you like the concept of Mega Evolutions and their role in battles?

Not for anything, Staraptor has godly attack and pretty good speed, and Intimidate gives it decent bulk as well. Staraptor can abuse Tailwind and smash opponents with the Uber-useful Brave Bird and Close Combat combo. I have a VGC team centered around it.
Talonflame needs some sort of stats that are really impressive as its ability already lets us down, as well as a great offensive movepool. I don’t see him working when other Fire/Flying types such as Charizard and Moltres probably outclass him. Ingame he sounds great, but in vs modes, probably he won’t do much.
a lot of people underestimate some pokemon though. I mean a solar power fire gem boosted STAB sunlight powered fireblast, flamethrower, or heatwave from charizard is godly. who knows, maybe talonflame will surprise us with its movepool or something!
I’m a Staraptor fanboy, but I want every Pokemon to be useful (Fire is also my favorite type). I’d love it if Talonflame actually turned out to be great, but we need to see his moveset and stats! I feel like he’ll be a physical attacker and somehow I don’t see him using Flamethrower…
I know how it is, I get many people to insult me because I use all normal types. I just feel they are underestimated. I hope they introduce a good physical fire move and something that doesnt damage the user and is a bit more powerful than aerial ace.
Normal types are definitely surprising… I’m usually defeated in the PWT by surprise SE attacks.
Hey staraptors awesome! I call mine the “raptor cannon” because it busts holes in teams without any set up! I hope talonflame turns out to be equally as good!

Aegislash is definitely a possibility, and so is Goomy! I kinda want to stick to using new Pokemon (with the possible exception of an as-of-now undecided Kanto starter).
Use Blastoise as your starter.
I probably will! Bulbasaur’s my favorite of the three, but I don’t really want two grass-types.
Yea since, blastoise should be your second starter because you already have a Grass type which cancels out Venusaur. You already have a Flying type which cancels out Charizard. So Blastoise is the best option 😀

Going by the stats seen from leaks roughly something like this:

Spe – 120
Not too shabby with AMAZING speed and SP ATK with great Special defence to boot.

I’m a big Hawlucha fan, though, even though it is a bit redundant. I’m getting Y. Thanks for the advice, I just need to think this through.
Hawlucha is definitely a cool looking Pokemon and if its Y you’re getting then is perfectly fine since Blastoise is the best choice to pair up with Chesnaught in Y meaning you don’t have this issue of Charizard making it redundant and chances are you will use grass more on chesnaught than you will fighting so the type can be split between the two 🙂

I wouldn’t be surprised if there where a couple evolutions either to old pokemon or the new ones, that the leakers haven’t been able to find, because with each generation adding evolution methods, its impossible for them to go check 649+ pokemon for new evolutions.

Honestly i beleive that everything we saw was real but uncomplete i honestly think they were proto-falce’s. i think there is around 149 new pokemon and 20 new evolutions!!!

No, simply because it would be unnecessary. Some Pokemon would make sense to have greater gender differences but other’s not so much. It depends what the pokemon is based on. Some animals have gender role forms where the female is more preetorial than the male and vice versa so it would make sense if gender influenced stats for a pokemon based on an animal like that. However this isn’t the case for all animals and certainly not pokemon based on inanimate objects etc. There would have to be a valid reason for the difference.

The BST was worked out using the stats leaked by leakers then altered according to the nature. Obviously EV’s will have played a tiny part in how the stats looked but these will be pretty accurate if not spot on. A good few pokemon have now had their BST’s worked out now that stats are known for most of the new pokemon. So far im loving how Heliolisk and Aegislash are looking 😀
I did not see Heliolisk looking so good, but he actually looks decent. He can’t take a Mach Punch, but dang, he’ll OHKO the Fighting type on the switch and if he doesn’t he’ll switch out into Aegislash!
Exactly, it has the speed to make up for the poor defence but yes mach punch will be its downfall. Aegislash has speed issues but with Defence form being primary it can take the first hit then protect itself with kingly shield and lower the foe’s attack. Swords dance while still in boosted shield from then attack with sword form with a swords dance boost! EPIC
