More new Pokémon…?
Currently there are several Mega Stones that have been found, but the Pokémon has not: Druddigon, Heracross, and Galvantula. Profilic Pokémon Black & White leaker “Hiro” also said that Scizor would be getting one too. A legendary trio could also surface in Kalos as well as unseen downloadable Legendaries.
What do you think? Are you OK with the smaller number of “new” Pokémon? Do you like the concept of Mega Evolutions and their role in battles?

some of these new pokemon are great !!! ……………… having said that im still extremely disappointed with the new starters final evolutions. we were told back in july that it was going to be kyubixen, furogue, and cheknight. when I heard this I was so excited, pokemon starters that had an adventurer theme…………… then the internet crapped out delphox,greninja, ad chenaught……….. a large part of me still now knowing these are the final evolutions wants to go and cancel my preorder. im very very disappointed in the pokemon company and I am disappointed in the fans of this series thinking these things are good enough.
to the creators, I say ” you had one of the biggest pokemon events of a life time and you ruined it with less than passable pokemon additions.”
Well you can be disappointed, fair enough, but to some people they *are* good enough. It’s called an opinion – you’re allowed one, and we are too. I don’t really care to be thought of as a ‘bad fan’ just because I like a pokemon you happen not to…

to be honest i was very disappointed with evolution of the starters but i gotten used to them now so i like each one now
I just figured that I would do a little math to figure out how many Pokemon of each type is being represented. I made a post about a few types earlier, so why not do them all. Descending order below, do with it what you will:
Fairy- 12 (17.3%)
Dragon- 9 (13.0%)
Grass- 9 (13.0%)
Water- 8 (11.5%) (Loses a Water Type upon evolution)
Normal- 8 (11.5%) (Loses a Normal Type upon evolution)
Fire- 7 (10.1%)
Flying- 7 (10.1%)
Rock- 7 (10.1%)
Ghost- 7 (10.1%)
Psychic- 5 (7.2%)
Dark- 5 (7.2%)

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of dragon Pokemon this generation. It’s ironic though because this is the dragon slayer generation! 😛
I thought the same thing- did they have a bunch of new Dragons that they wanted to use, but didn’t want them to be OP, so they introduced Fairy?
Nah, regardless of how many dragon types were introduced this generation, the fairy type would still have been an addition that needed to be made.

I think this Gen has the lowest percentage of monotypes though.

Maybe just because of how small the pokemon count is? Either way, I’m pretty interested in seeing precise statistics of generation and number of pokemon.
Same here. I did a rudimentary figure up there to see what all the fuss was about and was pleasantly surprised to find that types like Dragon and Fairy were in the lead over the older Flying and Water ones.
I like how Fire, Water, and Grass are sort of balanced, with there only being a two Pokemon difference between the most and the least.
There is actually 8 Flying this gen, Fletchling, Fletchinder, Talonflame, Vivillon, Hawlucha, Noibat, Noivern, and Yveltal.

Lack of post-game really concerns me. It’s almost as if they wanted to rush the game for the 3DS to sell better. Does anyone know what happened to the leaker that got through the main story? Was he caught?
I’m wondering about the postgame as well.
I think the other leaker aside from Josh got caught.
I haven’t heard anything from that source in a day.
If he stated that he’s stopped showing because lack of post-game that concerns me even more.

Apparently there’s a Battle Tower-like area and a few hidden dungeons… so it’s basically like DP’s endgame. DP was fine and even though Kalos doesn’t have a new island to unlock, it is larger than Sinnoh and the Battle Zone combined.

True, I mean we had Generation I, which only had Mewtwo in a cave and catching the rest of the Pokemon.
Isn’t that the point of Pokemon? Team-Gyms-E4 and then complete the Pokedex and go back and do random crap?
I can’t tell if you’re agreeing or disagreeing with me. I’m trying hard not to defend GF for rushing/being lazy/whatever, but I don’t really see how lacking few hours of gameplay is considered such a bad thing. I asked because I play on Wi-Fi a lot, and couldn’t really understand why people were complaining about it so much.
I think there’s more than is being let on. I think we will have lots of little tasks to do.
It’s strange. A recent interview to Masuda talk about the post-game and told that was the more extense in comparation of the other pokemon games.
Then again, it’s not like he’d say that it was a bad postgame…
But he said that the post game is more long than the actual story. The actual story is around 30 hours and the post games was the double.

You’re not a party-pooper, if anything your a party lighten-upper! Yes it was, seeing the first cutscene in a Pokemon game in 3D would feel amazing. Since this is their first 3DS game they aren’t so experienced with the 3D so hopefully the R/S/E remakes are in full 3D but is like Super Mario 3D Land.
What we really need is that shocking Giratina scene from Platinum in 3D. The one where he splashes the screen with blood (uh, darkness), cries out loudly, and then attacks the screen. That was sort of terrifying back in Platinum, and in 3D it would be AMAZING.
The only game I want to see made into a remake is the yellow version. That would make me very happy.
If it is, I think I’ll cry.

A guy in HG/SS said they were remaking a game but it was hard trying to keep the same memories and feeling of the originals.
A guy in D/P/Pt said that he wished that he could go to the Whirl Islands and Bell Tower which later happened in HG/SS. He also mentioned he wanted to see that space ship from Hoenn launch. That has yet to happen! Could the spaceship launch in the remakes?
I was so convinced as a kid that they’d tie in the spaceship to Jirachi or Deoxys, but nope, the spaceship never launched and they were events -__-; I also want to finally know what that white rock does!!

We might still get to rebattle the elite four at higher levels…some are saying that’s where their mega evlutions come into play. Nothing confirmed yet, but fingers crossed!

At some point in the game Team Flare’s leader expresses the wish to destroy everyone who isn’t part of Team Flare. Probably using the power of a legendary pokemon. So…pretty much like every other evil team, ever.

So I seriously doubt Ash won’t catch a separate fire type even thought he will have talonflame…. I think pyroar will have that normal type his regional bird won’t have and he will get a female pyroar to show the gender difference his bird can’t show

He likely won’t have Talonflame since Serena has a Fletchling. Also I believe it is likely for Ash to receive Froakie since he is shown a lot so far with one.
Ash has fletchling and I’m saying he will get both chespin and froakie
They weren’t seen in the same shot, so it is possible (unlikely or not) that Serena will battle Viola before/after Ash in a separate battle with Fletchling. Or maybe it was Ash’s Fletchling landing on her head.
The only issue is that Ash was seen battling Viola’s Vivillon with Pikachu and Serena was on the sidelines, and then it cut away to Fletchling vs. Vivillon. While it never did show Ash commanding Fletchling, it is possible that it’s either him using Fletchling or Serena battling Viola after or before him.
Why wouldn’t we be able to re-battle E4 on higher levels? We could in every other game.

Also GameSpot mentioned that on top of the 35 hours there was a long post-game.

They also took away different encounter rates for day/night. They randomly remove a lot of cool features between games, and I don’t think anyone knows why.
I think they get drunk while programming and things go awry.

They brought is back slightly in B2/W2 where you could have someone’s Pokemon follow you in a house, but that was it.
The funny thing is that they made quite a lot fo walking sprites for Pokemon such as Haxorus and the legendaries.
How do you guys not know? Theres roughly 700 pokemon. Plus different forms and what not, its be pretty hard to make all of those sprites.

Would be cool if they had a treadmill item you could put in your secret base, and if you have your pokemon use it, they gradually gain exp. It’s like a mini-day care in your secret base!
Hopefully no more planks either XD The internal save battery in mines died so I can’t get to the Lilycove mart. More customizable, more furniture you can sit on and watch TV. Oh the possibilities!
