More new Pokémon…?
Currently there are several Mega Stones that have been found, but the Pokémon has not: Druddigon, Heracross, and Galvantula. Profilic Pokémon Black & White leaker “Hiro” also said that Scizor would be getting one too. A legendary trio could also surface in Kalos as well as unseen downloadable Legendaries.
What do you think? Are you OK with the smaller number of “new” Pokémon? Do you like the concept of Mega Evolutions and their role in battles?

I don’t recommend Torchic because you have Delphox! You could use Hawlucha, instead! It covers both Flying & Fighting problems! Then your last space could just be a filler Pokemon! I recommend using a Rock, Steel, Ground, Electric, or Dragon-Type to fill that spot! 🙂

I believe so! It should be able too! I think we saw it with Fly on one of the leaks! With it being Fighting-Type is should be more than capable to lift up your trainer!

Maybe Klefki to fill that spot? Steel, and it gives you a fairy bonus.
Well, Gardevoir is part Fairy now! That’s why I didn’t list it! I say Goomy would be more effective! ;D

Blastoise will be able to Mega Evolve! Gardevoir too! So, it kind of defeats the purpose of having Mawhile! It’s Steel/Fairy!
but since the champion has a gardevoir almost all of Gardevoir”s attacks will be not very effective
As I said, fill that spot with a Steel-Type! Maybe, if you want a Poison-Type to beat Gardevoir! ;D

Well thing is if you use Torchic you will have two Fire-types and I wouldn’t recommend Gardevoir since you have Delphox and that makes two Psychic-types but if you are using it for the Fairy status that is fine. As for other two team members I would stick with adding two Kalos Pokemon maybe a Dragon type like Noivern, Goodra, or Tyrantrum so you could get a Flying or Rock bonus, and then maybe a Ghost-type like Aegislash to get a bonus Steel-type.

Flying types are a bit lacking this gen with only Noivern, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Vivillon, and Yveltal but you could go with either Noivern or Hawlucha to either have Dragon or Fighting on your team.
what about orrotto its seem to have a good move pool and stats

So let me get this right…We only have 69 new Pokemon & barely any Mega Evolutions? Yeah, that sucks =/ I thought they were going to make up for the lack of new Pokemon with a lot of Mega Evolutions, but it seems we won’t be getting a lot of those, either.
I feel your sadness. New evos and preovs are my favourite part of a new generation, with new pokemon being second.
But look on the bright side – the Kalos regional dex (or 3 of them lol) is freakin HUGE, so you’ve got a massive choice for your team. And also, everything’s in 3D now. And it’s eyebleedingly beautiful. Also, Goomy now exists. So yeah…gotta take the rough with the smooth :3
I have thought of several reasons why the pokedex for kalos is rather small. The reasons are the following. Converting several hundred pokemon into 3D models took more time than expected so they decided kalos would be a smaller region. Option two is that kalos is only based on france though it is also semi-based on norse mythology, and for this reason I believed that they wanted to keep the pokedex to a lower number. option three is that they are probably playing several different dlc’s and for that reason they probably wanted to have some extra new pokemon in reserve for those dlc areas, because they known as much as we want a legendary trio we also want more content in the game. On a side note why didn’t they do a pokemon based on grape’s and on wine? france is a wine country.
as much as I appreciate all the french culture in Kalos, alcohol reference would probably earn it a T rating, which is not an option for Nintendo
They only made the new Pokemon into 3D as Black and White had the 3D Pokedex.
I think the pokemon count decreased substantially this gen to make sure that the pokemon would work in terms of stats/moves and design. The fact that we have over 700 pokemon now is probably causing GameFreak to slow down and spread out pokemon across generations. Finally, I think that GameFreak was almost completely satisfied with the metagame in BW2, and didn’t want to change too many things.
Grape Pokemon? I don’t know. That might turn out to look like a purple Egxecute….or however you spell it.

There’s a screenshot going around where their leader (who looks like Alder’s younger more fashionable cousin, lol) talks about obliterating everyone who isn’t a part of Team Flare. Proooobably with Yveltal but that bit’s not confirmed, just a guess!

For all you people who want a Noivern keep in mind that at level 79 its Sp. attack is only 121 the only exceptable stat about him is his speed which is 168

Yeah those stats are actually pretty good. Granted, they’re not the best, but it makes for a very balanced Pokemon. Flaroen can run a special set comfortably on 90 Sp.Atk (he has to if he wants options, poor guy). Galvantula only has 97 Sp.Atk and is very much a special attacker. So yeah I have no problem with these, especially with those decent defenses and great speed.
Wanna explain how it took out a Marowak and a Gallade with Boomburst at the same time? And that was at level 50.
I’ve seen it’s Attack stat at level 59, but if it can do that with a physical move, it will be good.

Oh yes. The only non Kalos Pokemon I’m using (using as my Fire type because the others are meh imo, I absolutely adore Combusken and Blaziken gets a rockin’ Mega) and it’s gloriously OP.

Any hopes Pokemon Z will fix the games flaws? I mean it will likely be released in 2 years.. plenty of time to correct the lack of 3D and other things… I’m sure they won’t add more new Pokemon but other problems Like post game, difficulty, maybe even Pokemon following you

I don’t have any hopes for it. I know they will. These first games are like trials. They listen to all the complaints in these games and they try to fix it in the sister/sequel game(s). B2/W2 were amazing and way better!
I’m pretty sure the reason why you can’t walk with other pokemon and the fact that the 3D is limited to 1vs1 is because of hardware limitations, not because they were lazy or didn’t think about it.
Stuff like Monster Hunter is all 3D and that has tons of stuff going on!
Admittedly I don’t use the 3D so I don’t know if it lags though
yeah, since MH looks good as on psp so I think, they can put pokemons following us ect. 3ds cartridge have 16gb limitation from what I know now, so it’s not immpossible
