  1. In terms of the number of new Pokemon this gen- I think we all have to remember that GF promised us this game was going to be different, they were changing it up. If that means better Pokemon designs and sacrificing the amount of designs, then so be it. I’d much rather see great Pokemon that will become my favorites than just have 30% or more of this gen’s pokes be filler pokes.

    Anyone agree?

    • This gen feels a bit like 4th generation. Considering mega evo’s like additional evolutions.

About the same number of new unrelated pokemon have been introduced.

    • That is true. The closest to filler in this generation are the single stage Pokemon, which there aren’t a lot of anyways, and each of those generally have a unique elemental combination, mainly fairy ones, and then Furfouh has the customizability and a really awesome ability.

    • If Pokemon continues for 100 years and introduces 120 new ones every 5 years, they’re be 2400 new Pokemon in 100 years. Maybe they’re putting the brakes on the series a little to strengthen the longevity of the series, and I don’t mind it.

    • filler pokes term shouldn’t even excist and there shouldn’t be any filler pokemon it makes no sense for the games itself, and Im going give this gen credit only once, if GF don’t put 50new pokemons from different part of Kalos or something to pokemon Z, then I’ll not buying first games from generations anymore, because everything what is good is in last version and in remakes.

  2. Is Mawile’s Mega Stone called Mawilenite? Because what if Mawile has two Megas? Mega Mawile X and Mega Mawile Y!

  3. Let’s not forget that there are undoubtedly hidden Pokemon, the event-exclusive legendary types. Keldeo, Meloetta, Shaymin, etc… we all knew about those immediately because we dumped the game code, but we weren’t supposed to know about them until they were revealed, sometimes /years/ after the game release. This time around, Game Freak’s able to keep them under wraps.

Sure, this isn’t going to elevate the count significantly, but there’s still more out there that we have no clue of, and probably won’t for some time.

  6. In Norse Mythology there is a concept of a sort of World Tree at the center of the universe.
There is an unnamed eagle at the top of the tree in its branches, four deer, each with a colored crystal (the colors match those in Xerneas’ horns) at its base, and deep underground there is a reptilian monster that tries to destroy the tree by chewing its roots.(Coal Mine?)

  7. Why are people complaining about there only being 70 Poke’s.
    1. Most people already have their team figured out so more would just make the decisions stressful.
    2. Atleast the designs are well thought out and not lazy.
    3. More room for some of our old favorites.
And finally, most people thought BW2 was our last game. So stop being ungrateful and thank Game Freak you bastards……That is all.
