Last week was the last ever Pokémon Smash episode on TV, and this week an all new show with a familiar face and all new cast members: Pokémon Get☆TV! The new show will be very similar to Pokémon Smash in terms of content and format so expect the usual craziness and more. How can you be sure that Yveltal is the last one in the Dex? They could’ve changed the order around so that the Pokémon you catch post-game come after Yveltal in the National Dex.
Zekrom was number 644, and yet there were Pokemon after him in the Pokedex. Just because the Pokedex ended with Yveltal doesn’t mean there aren’t any Pokemon after it, the player just haven’t encounter and register it yet. Yes, even though 3-5 pokemon might exist after 717, bring it up to 70+, but hey, the more the merrier right? Watch as they blow your mind just as they did with Mew in the beginning.

mega evolutions hardly count, though, because they’re only during battles :(. it’s a LOT more exciting to get new pokemon you actually keep outside of battle, imo. i’m pretty disappointed by only 68ish new pokemon, too. older generations always had around 100-130 new pokemon and yes, i include new pre-evolutions and new evolutions to old pokemon because it’s still /new/ and you get to keep them outside of battle.
i’m still excited for the game, but hype has decreased a lot thinking there’s only 68ish new pokes. the excitement in new pokegames, for me, was always seeing the new pokemon over everything else. new pokemon are just exciting. i can never have enough, there are tons of cute and cool designs that could be made. and i want them.

I don’t mind how many Kalos pokemon there are. I like all of them and their designs are some of the best we’ve seen in years.
While less new mons than prior gens IS disappointing, I’m certain X and Y are stellar games and boycotting because we only got 70ish is pretty silly imo.

Wrong, The GAMEPLAY matters the most in a video GAME and I’d rather have 70 good new Pokemon than over 100 shitty new Pokemon.
More than 70 new pokemon would be nice, but they added so many new features to this game that there’s just no way you can be dissapointed.

Yes, the amount of new PKMNs is disappointing but: 3D models, Mega Evos, the Fairy type, a new Ghost/Grass, roller blades, I’m sure any of these would cover up the holes that the number of PKMNs has left.
