When Mega Evolutions were revealed a couple of months back, fans were taken totally by surprise wondering what exactly we were being shown. Now that we understand just what Mega Evolutions are, we’re all guessing what Pokémon could be one of the select few to receive a Mega Evolution.
A while ago our close friend AAPF began researching trademark filings for Pokémon names. This research has previously uncovered Pokémon that have since received Mega Evolutions, and it seems highly likely that more Pokémon from this list will receive a Mega Evolution.
The following Pokémon have all had trademark registrations made for their names since the release of Black 2 & White 2, following the trend of other Pokémon with their names trademarked again there is a possibility these Pokémon will receive Mega Evolutions. Pokémon with a * next to their name have recently been confirmed.

A lot of people are saying 70 because a “leaker” said that. Just because they got the game early doesn’t mean they work at gamefreak. They could be wrong for all we know.

Does anyone else want to discuss the fact that florges isn’t fairy/grass? I mean, It’s wearing a flower on its head. Its legs are leaves and have leaves protruding out of them. How does that not qualify for a grass type?
And it’s also the Garden Pokemon. Sometimes I don’t get GF logic.

my point exactly. wtf gamefreak. i could understand why the first two stages were not part grass, but by the third stage, flebebe has completely merged with its partner flower! not making it part grass just feels so incomplete -_-

fairy/ grass, while a pretty interesting typing, probably would harm florges more than help, x4 weakness to Poison, and 2x weakness to Steel, Ice, Fire, and Flying
It also learns sooo many grass type attacks from what ive seen in pics… its ridic.

im also pissed that skrelp evolves into this wonderfully designed poison/dragon while clauncher stays a plain water type. with some simple modifications, it could have easily become water/electric, water/steel, or water/fire.

Water/Fire because an actual Pistol Shrimp fires off imploded bubbles, and at the exact moment of fire, the temperature from its release is about as hot as the surface of the Sun. Don’t believe me, look it up.
I did and while it is impressive the actual energy is pretty tiny.
I mean if you look at the water wave repelled by the claw as a whole it won’t actually heat up much.
It’s for a split second though, I know.
But, once it comes to Pokémon, all of that changes.
It will become exaggerated. So, a Water/Fire-type Clawitzer makes a lot of sense. Based on how Clawitzer looks, I don’t see Steel-type being in there. Electric-type, maybe.
I vote for Water/Fire-type. Its clawzooka could’ve had a lil’ red coloring splashed on it. When cannons are fired, they’re hot! It only makes sense, but…

Help! I’m currently power-leveling up my Porygon-Z in B2/W2. Can someone recommend an in-game moveset for it? It currently has Nasty Plot, Tri-Attack, Ice Beam, and Shadow Ball. Any suggestions?

Kind of off topic, but I’m playing Pokemon Diamond in preperation of Y, and it occurred to me I missed a bit of dialogue, because I completely forgot to go to the library after fighting Byron, and instead went straight to go fight Candice. I did beat her, but with an extremely under leveled team with no real type advantages, though I did make an extremely smart switch from Torterra to Sneasel, which kept me from getting swept. The lucky paralyze on the bulked up Medicham helped too. But it was kind of nice to do a little bit of stuff out of order.

I think everyone expected 100+ new Pokémon. Maybe next time?
Idk why there were expecting a large number of Pokemon this gen since the even gens always add low number of Pokemon.

Yeah it is pretty ridiculous:
They made 3d models and animations for every damn pokemon and every move in existence, they introduced 2 new battle types and mega evolutions and people STILL want more.
Well, it DID come after the game with the most completely new Pokemon in a single generation. But honestly, the fact we have a giant selection to choose from, Pokemon all in the same region at the START of the game to pretty much build our teams as we see fit, I see that as a fantastic plus.
Why do I have a feeling that Noivern’s base stat will be 480 and Florges will be 500?

I found some gaps in the Coastal Kalos PokéDex there might be some more new Pokemon left.
There are no gaps in the National Pokedex for new mons, unless they are after the Legendaries (ie postgame, ie not in the Kalos dexes)
It happened before in previous generations: Behind Palkia +9 Pokémon, behind Zekrom: +5… so expect to have new Pokémon
