The above trailer doesn’t have anything super new, but does have some extended shots of Kalos, battles, and trainer customization that are worth taking a look at 🙂 Can’t wait for October 12th! There is one new Fairy-type move revealed called Frolic which Marill uses.

A Koala Pokemon would be nice as a starter.
If it were up to me to pick the animal origination for the next starters of Gen 7, I would go with a Grass Koala, a Fire Werewolf, and a Water Dolphin. I would also put one of the early bugs we encounter as a Grasshopper Pokemon and a Cockroach Pokemon which haven’t been done yet. And the early Bidoof type rodent as a Mole Pokemon.
Now correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t Leavny a grass hopper, or a praying mantis?
It’s a mantis species; grass hoppers are quite different.
I think we could definitely see a grass hopper this gen or the next, the closest one is Kricketune, which is a kricket.
I would love a mosquito, glowworm, scarab beetle, luna moth, ant queen, scorpion fly, Snowberry Clearwing, Goliath stick insect, among others. Bugs are my favorites pokemon!
I thought it was just a leaf bug lol. Scyther is a praying mantis.
Kricketune came close to a grasshopper, since a cricket is basically apart of the same bug family as grasshoppers

I see Pikachu learning some new Fairy moves (maybe Pichu would become part Fairy then lose it upon evolving…?)
But this is getting me sooooooo excited for X & Y in less than a month!
I was thinking that they might make Raichu half Fairy but leave Pika just solely Electric. How would they explain Ash being close to Pika all these years and just discovering its a fairy lol.
I’m sure it will learn fairy moves though like Charm, Frolic. Hell it might even learn that new electric type move Nuzzle.
I also think the Pokemon most suited for “Cheek Pouches” ability would be Pika but seeing as he already has Static/Lightningrod I doubt it :/ maybe for an event
ash in b/w wasn’t too smart, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t notice that crucial detail….

In this trailer yes but I’m talking about the one where they constantly say pokemon x and y in between things at 1:11. Sylveon uses a move that looks to besound base and has musical notes and hearts and deals damage

A couple of people thought that the customization will not show in the overworld and only in the PSS since they did not show any of the main characters traveling with new clothes. Now that they did, people will not have to worry about it! 🙂
I guess that makes sense. Although I’d argue that they just kept the main characters in the trailers because.. They’re the defaults. 😉

I’ve seen this screenshot floating around, and it gives a little insight on the Pokedex. A ‘little.’ Pikachu is number 36 in the Kalos Dex, as well as being found in the Central Section of the Region. And whatever the details under the stats are, probably ability, nature, personality traits, stuff like that. In anycase, means we know definitively a few numbers now, as I’d imagine Pichu is 35*though we also seem to be capturing Pikachu, not Pichu, leaving it little more as breeding fodder it seems* and Raichu at 37.

Yeah, but that look at the top screen. That’s where we see Pikachu’s stats, and also where we see it’s Pokedex Number, which is what I was pointing out.

Listen to the sound it makes when Flareon uses it’s move against Orotto. It sounds super-effective which means Orotto is probably Grass type. So it’s probably not an evolution of Sudowoodo. Still a chance for it to be a Grass/Ghost type.
