I want to use the steel/grass pokemon but I’m using Tsutaja as a starter D: dilemma.
What does he mean by “no brainer pokemon of gen v”?
It means he thinks it’s a crappy evolution because all it does is add gears. it must grind his gears.

You’re supposed to call something a “no brainer” when you LIKE it, not when you think it sucks. “No brainer” means “such an obvious best choice you don’t even need to think about choosing it.”
He might misunderstand the phrase and still dislike the pokemon, but yeah, “no brainer” is normally a good thing.

According to a rumoured list I saw at smogon there are 26 total water pokemon but there are only 16 on pokexpertos list so far. The remaining unknown pokemon must all be water types
I wouldn’t trust a rumour from smogon. Pokexperto is far more reliable.

Its possible that Gamefreak will give Futachimaru’s evolution a Water-Fighting type. But I hope Mijumaru’s final evo will not be a mono-type.
I’d say that theres some chance that Pokexperto’s information might not be ALL correct, meaning that the final starter evos could be different types than he says, but he’s probably right about those as well.
Only Gamefreak can tell the types of the other Starter evolutions.
Oh and is there things that Melkor is wrong at before about Black and White.

To me it seems like they shouldve put more into this generation, plus theirs only a few pokemon I like….and it sucks cause this seems like its gonna be an awesome game…. :/

This generation adds 15 fire, 17 water, 11 electric, 7 ice, 7 poison types.
Generation 4 only has 5 fire types and 7 electric types.
Generaion 2 has 4 poison types.
Generation 1 and 2 have 5 ice types, Generation 3 and 4 have 6 ice types.

we have some really interesting pokemon to be revealed still. like the fire/ghost candle line, it makes so much sense idk why it hasn’t been done before! it’s the first 3-stage fire line (not counting starters and magby etc.) we’ve had! also interested in that egyptian mask…all i can think of is majora’s mask XD
and just to add, the sugimori art for the starter evos was like a bucket of water over all those flame wars. pokabu2 looks a LOT better haha. although i don’t think the fire/fighting *rage* will be extinguished as easily….

I don’t know if this is a good idea for a poll or something, but I was wondering if pokexperto “leaks” have hurt sales of the game in any way. Are some people not interested now that they what’s coming?
The only people who seem displeased are the loonies who still think everything is fake, so I don’t think they matter.
Also, I doubt EVERY interested and potential buyer happens here or really any of the news places and find out about the leaks. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of them have never heard of any of it, or even the websites. I doubt the games will suffer.

Do you hope the rumor about Melkor saying Tsuta3 and Miju3 being mono-types is wrong? Do you also hope that Janoby’s evolution and Futachimaru’s evolution are Grass/Poison and Water/Fighting?
Why would anyone hope that? Grass/Poison is one of the most boring types around, and Water/Fighting would mean two /Fighting starters. And of course the rumor isn’t wrong, everything else has been right so far. Why would that snake be poison or that sea lion be fighting anyway? The starter evos were confirmed as real in a developer interview.
While Grass/Poison has been a part of the series since Pokemon #002 it is a good typing and I hope the mushroom pokemon will have good base stats :3

Technically, the final starter evolutions are not 100% confirmed yet, and Melkor was wrong before, and also in the interview, it also said that the their shells like katanas, and thats how they completed Mijumaru and it’s evolutions. And the interview does not prove their real, and just because Janoby, Chaobuu, and Futachimaru are real doesn’t mean the final evos are real as well.
You conveniently left out the part where they said that only the first two stages use shells like katanas, and the third is a sea lion after visiting an aquarium. Yeah, they’re confirmed, unless you thought it was obvious that the third would be a sea lion.
Gamefreak can give Futachimaru’s evo a Fighting-type, and they can have both Fighting-type starters what ever they want, Its their creations, so they can have both starters of the same secondary-type. Oh and its possible that the pure-Water type was a misinformation like Chatot.
