Wakoishi, Plant Pokemon = Fake

A user in the comment section of my site has identified screenshots that he faked.  I have to admit, Wakoishi was by far the best.  The only thing we really had to doubt about it was the cave setting.  The plant-creature is also fake so I’m sure MANY of you will breath a sigh of relief.  The emonga screenshot was also faked.

Another day, another fake.  Doesn’t it always seem to be that way these days?  At least I can bust this rumor first for you :p

<3 pokejungle

ps- Anyone glad that those two were fake?

  2. Yay! the owl flew away to the land of of the fakes. Well, At least we now know that that Gigagiasu will not get a Head-only pre-evo.

  3. I’m glad the sorry love-child of Vileplume and Hoothoot is fake, as well as the Gigagiasu’s prevo, to me, it looked more like a grumpy fish rather than a rock.

  4. I’m just gonna sit back and have myself a nice chuckle because I’v been ranting on here and Pokebeach about how the plant/owl and the Emonga screens were soooo obviously fake. The Plant/owl was poorly designed and looks like a splice, while the Emonga was just in an awkward pose and doesn’t match the current sprite style.

I’m sort of disappointed that the Gigaisu pre-evo turns out to be fake though.

Now I just have to wait for the confirmation that the Tabuune screen is also fake. It’s drawn far too crappy, it looks as though the sprite was just pasted over a different pokemon and doesn’t even begin to match the earlier descriptions of it. It was described as “pink and round” not a pink and tan rabbit. It is not round by any definition of the word. Unless there was a huge misunderstanding with the initial description, I call fake.

  7. actually.looking back at the tabunne screenshot…i’m thinking it’s a fake.
the sprite seems different from the other three in the picture and it looks like a digimon to me more than a pokemon. xDDD

plus didn’t they describe it as “pink an round”?

    • FINALLY someone who agrees with me. It looks fake, period. It might be real, if so, then its one of the worst drawn sprites I’v seen so far.

I’v already searched bunny fakemon on DA to see if I could find something resembling it, but couldn’t find anything. I’m 99% sure I’v saw a fakemon somewhere that looked just like it, its just a matter of time before I find it and prove it that its fake or that GameFreak ripped someone off XD.

  9. Does that mean Darumakka’s arms and legs are NOT retractable as seen in this shot? :(. I thought that was so cute and neat!

    • I hope thats fake also. It just looks stupid the way they pop out like that. It was from a different screen though wasn’t it?

      Reply
      • what i mean is i dont like the “retracted” version, the one without arms and legs. The one with them is awesome, im hoping the one without arms is fake, or he has a decent animation of retracting them

        Reply
        • It isn’t fake, but I’m also hoping for a good animation. I don’t want arms and legs just popping in and out of his body ><

  10. They were kinda growing on me a little…

but I did think those two weren’t up to the same standard of pokemon we’ve seen revealed so far.

  11. Why do you say those Pokémon are fake? You only have the comment of a person who didn’t prove they was the author of the supposed fakes.

    Reply
    • The clear screenshots prove that he created them. We were also iffy because wakoishi and a grass pokemon were never mentioned by anyone as being encountered in the demo.

    • Sakura from Naruto and younger Fantina FTL. :/ I like the quality of the image, but I’m hoping that the characters overcome their first impression. Cutscenes = good, copy paste characters = bad.

      Reply
    • I’ve seen this before but, the quality of this one is way much better.

Being in that specific cutscene….hmm, they must be really important characters.

  13. Yeah the emonga sprite looked to simple, it didin’t look right. SO I’m glad it’ll have a better sprite 🙂

Too bad I actually really like wakoishi 🙂

  14. Maybe you should take the time to confirm all of these pictures before posting them and getting people’s hopes up? Seriously, the excessive amount of fake information (posted as if it wasn’t fake) that has come from this site (and subsequently trickled out to other sites) is making me think I should reassess whether or not you’re at all a credible source of future Pokemon information.

As if all of this didn’t piss me off enough already, you went ahead and posted uncomfirmed (and clearly false) images of Tabunne.

    Learn to internet.

    • :> To my credit the plant image was posted after SPP already had it up, wakoishi I did post first, but then SPP posted the image of Tabunne first. And any rumors are CLEARLY marked as such so there should be no question in a literate person’s mind as to what is fake until proven real and what is confirmed information.

And if you read my post on Tabunne I’ve already updated to say that indeed I DO think that screenshot is fake and pointed to the screenshot of what I think the the real tabunne is. I was the one who told SPP he really should put a disclaimer that tabunne might be fake. :s

    • lol someone has the same mind set as serebii. Its a shame really. 99% of the community would prefer to see all of the rumors. It gives us something to talk about.

    • Whenever a “new Pokemon” is posted up here, it is given that it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

This is because this site posts everything, INCLUDING rumours, it always has, it always will. It is what it is known for and it is what many people look for. To be able to look at all possibilities and judge for oneself instead of being spoon-fed what is real and what is not by other more robotic web masters.

The beauty of not holding back on possible news gives birth to a wider variety of opinions from a wider variety of people. This makes judging and information gathering much more thorough and efficient than anywhere else. People on PokeJungle are truly a PART of the news, they feel involved. You can’t get that on many other major sites.

Also for the record, I too lean towards Tabunne being fake. But what was it that allowed you to be able to see this and come to this conclusion? Yes. because it was posted. Because you were given the chance to judge instead of being told what to believe.

  15. Whatever, lol.

Although something you should think about, the image of what you “think” is Tabunne looks more to me like Kurumiru’s (a silk worm, judging by its appearance) cocoon form. Looks like the same black and white eyes, the two bulbous things on its head are the same and it appears to be entirely white in color. Also, the general shape is suggestive of a chrysalis, it’s relatively round near the top and sort of tapers at the bottom.

  16. Emonga’s sprite looked like a ripoff of Pachirisu to me. Poorly scratched and poorly edited compared to all of the other OFFICIAL sprites, so I’m glad that it was a fake rather than just a terrible sprite on Nintendo’s part. Thank god that blasted plant Pokemon was fake; some Pokemon are ugly but that was just ridiculous. x__x

    • That’s actually an awesome observation, since the black/red “rag”/skin completely wraps around that portion of his head (stretching down to his back). In the clearer image from last night, you can almost make out that the black/red thing is actually going over a tad bit of his visible eye, making it look like an eyepatch and bandanna cross-over. An angry pirate fish? Yes, please.

It might still have an eye just off to the side on the black spot, but I like this theory much more.

  17. YES! I’ve never hated a Pokemon design before but THAT! THAT plant thing splice was FUGLY! I’m so glad it’s fake!

I liked that rock thing though. It was cute.

  18. The plant thing was obviously fake.. The text on its screen says “Ah! A wild Munna has appeared!” and the sprites look plain. Emonga’s sprite also looks plain. Wakoishi was pretty convincing for me though.

    • I… kind of liked it. 🙁

I was more interested in the general idea of a burrowing owl mixed with a cactus, however.
I love owls. :< I want another one this generation, maybe as a legendary.

  19. anyone else think that ALL of the pictures of Darumakka ‘without’ arms and legs are fake? Look at the markings on his belly. On the picture with arms and legs, the markings are tan (like Hihidaruma’s) but on the others they are gold…..

  20. Thank god the hidious booger bird is fake! I knew the the first time I saw it that the pebble-headed thing with knife shaped rocks sticking out of it was fake!
