A new 4.1.0 update for Pokémon HOME is planned for October and will introduce support for Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, as well support the transfer of Pokémon caught in Safari Balls in Pokémon GO. The maximum number of storable Pokémon for Premium subscribers will also increase from 6,000 to 9,000 at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, the end of service for the 3DS storage app Pokémon Bank has also been announced.
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen support coming to HOME

Players will be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen to Pokémon HOME with the October update and progress from the games’ Pokédex will be logged in HOME. If players have completed their dex, they can receive a Celebi gift. That is redeemable from the mobile version of HOME.
It’s important to note that transferring Pokémon from FireRed and LeafGreen into HOME is a one way trip. The official English news about the update says that Pokémon can no longer return to FireRed and LeafGreen only after being transferred to a different game, but that may be incorrect based on the Japanese news.
Pokémon Bank to end service

Pokémon Bank, the 3DS predecessor to Pokémon HOME, will finally end service on February 26, 2027. Although it was no longer available to download since the Nintendo 3DS eShop closed on March 27, 2023, players who had downloaded it still had the ability to store Pokémon there and transfer Pokémon from older games into the 3DS storage app.
This will also mean that Pokémon from older games will no longer have a path to HOME.
