The sleep tracking game Pokémon Sleep will be getting an anime tie-in with Pokémon Horizons in August, as well as some additional updates to celebrate the game’s third anniversary.
Not many details about what the Pokémon Horizons collaboration will bring to Sleep, but we do know that Pikachu with a Captain’s Hat and the Tinkatink line will be making their debut.
Other Pokémon from the anime will have increased appearance rates as well.
Additional 3rd anniversary updates
Players can now claim additional rewards to celebrate the game’s third anniversary from the in-game mailbox! The gift includes 2,000 Sleep Points, a Main Skill Seed, five Poké Biscuits, a Friend Incense and Incense for Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup.
Cyan Beach EX will be available starting August 10. To unlock it, players will need to have reached Master 18 on both Greegrass Isle and Cyan Beach areas.
How expert mode works: “In expert mode, Snorlax’s favorite Berries for the week will be divided into one main favorite and two sub-favorites. Pokémon that gather Snorlax’s main favorite Berry will receive bonuses, such as shorter helping frequency.
The main favorite Berry on Cyan Beach (Expert) will be selected randomly from Pecha Berry, Pamtre Berry, and Oran Berry. The sub-favorite Berries will be chosen at random from the 17 types of Berries that were not selected as the main favorite Berry.
In expert mode, the amount of Drowsy Power required to see Pokémon sleep styles will greatly increase, but the amount of Research EXP, Dream Shards, and Pokémon Candies you get for researching each sleep style will also increase.”
