Two new Pokémon will be debuting in Pokémon GO in July events: Hisuian Lilligant and Honedge, as well as the latter’s evolutions. Read about what to expect with the events below!
Hisuian Lilligant Raid Day details
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. local time, Hisuian Lilligant Raid Day will be taking place and introducing the Pokémon into Pokémon GO.
During the event period, the following bonuses will be active:
- Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 from Friday, July 11, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PDT.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Hisuian Lilligant from raids.

There will also be an optional event ticket for players who are interested.
Steel and Scales event details
Unlocked by meeting the goals during the 2025 Pokémon GO Fest, the Steel and Scales event will be taking place from Tuesday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The highlight of the event for many players will be the introduction of Honedge to Pokémon GO, which will be able to evolve into Doublade and Aegislash.
There will also be bonuses to take advantage of:
- 4× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Bagon and Shiny Beldum.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Unown U in raids.
- Event-themed Field Research tasks from PokéStops.
- Event-themed Collection Challenges.
