Pokémon Sleep gears up for its second anniversary

Can you believe we’re coming up on two years of tracking our sleep with Pokémon Sleep? The game is about to celebrate the second anniversary of its release on July 20 and has shared a new trailer teasing the celebration, which can be watched below.

As hinted by the video thumbnail, the Hoenn Starters Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip will be added to the game when the second anniversary event starts on Monday, July 14! Those are the only details shared about the event so far.

Second Anniversary Prelude Event details

Ahead of that we’ll be getting a Second Anniversary Prelude Event which will run from Monday, July 7, at 4:00 a.m. until Monday, July 14, at 3:59 a.m. Players will be able to take part in all areas.

During the event, 150 bonus sleep points will be given out and the Paldean Starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, as well as their evolutions, will have an increased chance to appear.

You may want to plan the area you conduct your sleep research in by where these Pokémon are able to appear:

In addition, the following bonuses will be active during the event:

• Dream Shards from sleep research ×1.5.
• Your cooking pot will be 1.5 times larger (or 3 times larger on Sunday only). That means more ingredients can fit!
• A few Pokémon of different sleep types will appear during sleep research regardless of your sleep type for that day.
