The mobile title Pokémon GO is getting an anime tie-in event featuring costumed characters inspired by Pokémon Horizons! Plus, the Generation IX Pokémon Tinkatink, who fought alongside Dot in the show, will be debuting in the game.
The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event will be taking place from Wednesday, April 16, at 10 a.m. until Tuesday, April 22, at 8 p.m. local time. While the event is running, players can take advantage of:
- Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event
- Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available from PokéStops
- Free event-themed Timed Research will be active for players
- Optional paid Timed Research will be available in the shop which includes a new Tinkaton-themed avatar post (pictured below)
Wild Pokémon spawns
During the event, players can encounter the following Pokémon in the wild:
- Quagsire
- Shuckle*
- Slugma*
- Nosepass*
- Snorunt*
- Sprigatito*
- Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin*
- Fuecoco*
- Quaxly
- Pawmi
- Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat* (Rare)
Costumed Floragato and Pikachu will have an increased chance of being Shiny! Furthermore, any costumed Pikachu caught during the event will know the Charged Attack Volt Tackle which is a 90 power move but will lower your Defense by one stage when used in PVP battles.

Pokémon Eggs
Any 7 km Eggs obtained during the event can hatch into one of the following Pokémon:
- Elekid*
- Hatenna
- Charcadet*
- Tinkatink
After the event ends, Tinkatink will be added to 10 km Eggs as one of the Pokémon that may hatch.
Pokémon Raids
The following Pokémon will appear in raids during the event:
One-Star Raids
- Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat*
- Chansey*
- Rockruff*
Three-Star Raids
- Charizard*
- Alolan Muk
- Metagross
- Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin*
