So I could do with some opinions for my potential Crystal team (I know people are still engrossed in conversation about the possible Gen 8s).

I say team 2 cause Feraligatr is just cooler. I’d boot Hitmonstop though. It can’t even learn rolling kick so you’d be stuck with other crap. Better to go with Heracross at that point
I’d get it Hi-Jump Kick as an egg move. I guess if I never heal Heracross Reversal could work.
I’d day Typhlosion because of how balanced the team seems

I will be honest
I am giving this less of a grain of salt till its actually revealed and I don’t really care about this leak
Try to blend the past present future in their designs to see how they might look
I am currently fluctuating between teams. I like the coral’s designthe most but the unconfirmed mono typing is not appealing to me. The middling design for me would have to be the bear’s and I really like it’s unique typing. The Fire/Steel typing of the horse is probably the most viable one in the competitive scene but I like its design the least. As of now, with what we think we know, I would go with the Bear for my first playthrough and that is probably my favorite one.
The Bear is creative, cool and cute, I think I like it the best. And also GF making it Grass/Electric would be the only time I wouldn’t be triggered by an electric starter (and I’d probably like it a lot, Electric is my fav type)

Do you think these starters could fit into the possible ”Past Present Future theme” ?
I mean Bear could become a Cave Bear, an extinct species
Horse could become some sort of cyborg
But I have No Idea how Corall could fit present. I like the thought of the Present being partially based on internet culture, Idk how Corall boi could fit that (Maybe it’ll just be dead inside like a Big part of us)

I don’t think they need to be that literal in order to fit the theme of past,present, and future. Plus for all we know the base stage starters wouldn’t resemble that theme to start anyway. Maybe ti’s the final evolutions that do. Or maybe it’s a mechanic that’s unique to them that makes them fit the them. Maybe even lore behind them rather than them actually physically looking like they’d represent those 3.
No, if that horse becomes Fire/Steel I think it would be more along the lines of its general theme, which would be rubbing its hooves against the ground to light them on fire. It’d likely have big metal spires for legs which allows them to plant in the ground and heat them up internally. None of this makes sense but it sounds cool.
Also, just for fun, can we agree on names to call these starters? My suggestions:
Cubulb (made by Monkeyfuzz) is really good
Coalt just sounds right
And Idk for Corall

If these leaks end up real what does everyone think their types will end up being? I honestly can’t figure out what would fit. Personally I would want the horse to evolve into a Pegasus 👀 either fire/flying or fire/fairy.
