The Pokémon Company International has announced 2018 as the Year of Legendary Pokémon!
To celebrate, special distributions for several Gen VII version exclusive Legendaries will be ongoing for the remainder of the year! These Legendaries can be obtained with any copies of Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, however, the game you’re downloading them to will effect the Pokémon’s details. If you use USUM all of the Legendaries will arrive in your game at Level 100, however they’ll only be Level 60 in SM. Check out the full list of distributions for the year:

- MARCH – Regigigas & Heatran
- APRIL – Raikou & Entei
- MAY – Xerneas & Yveltal

No word yet on distribution methods for the other Legendaries quite yet. In addition, Pokémon GO, Pokémon TCG, and Pokémon Shuffle will have various tie-in events throughout the year!

This reeks of the mythical distribution from 2016. I believe they did that distribution as a way to give players a way to finish their collections of mythicals in the run up to SM. That way people could have the chance to have a complete collection up to SM and wouldn’t still have gaps. I believe this is their way of filling version exclusives for people in the run up to gen 8. The Switch game may come out next year, but I believe that’s the reason for doing this. Also without forcing the timeline it is a little weird they didn’t put something in December. We shall see tho so enough said about that. I do wonder why they wouldn’t throw in a shiny gen 7 legend or something. Not sure that makes sense unless they have something else to promote that month. Also for the record no Zeraora won’t be part of this event. These are version exclusive legends and Zeraora is an event only mon. It’ll likely get its own announcement next month to coincide with more info on the movie (which I believe it’ll be in) since February usually shows off the movie guests.

Doubt it. All the legends being given away are version exclusives. If it was another mythical event then maybe, but Zeraora doesn’t match up with the rest of them. It’ll likely get it’s own announced and have an event in November or October. Whenever the movie airs on TV for the west I assume.

From what I hear ti may be done entirely. No one really knows yet. It’d be sad if it is done tho. I’m watching the English dub exclusively so I’m still a ways off from getting to the Tournament of Power. Hopefully it does have a conclusive ending tho. I’m really interested to see how it fits with the original ending of the manga. I imagine ti’ll have to retcon the entire last chapter into something else as there’s no way they’d all be out of touch at this point and Goku and Vegeta would be weaker than a god hahaha
A Fuji TV spokesman said that DB wont end, but at this point future plans are not set in stone. So it will come back, but no one knows when. Might be in 4 months, 2019 or 2022 lol.

Pretty sure that Toriyama mentioned in passing that GT isnt canon anymore so there would be a new ending, should it ever come to that.
I’m not even talking about GT tho. The last 2 chapters of the actual manga had that part. GT was garbage, but those last chapters were their starting point for it. The last 2 chapter featured Goku and everyone joining the world tournament because Goku wanted to meet Uub. I don’t like that at all. That said I think they’ll need to change that entirely as Pan is still a little toddler in that version even tho it’s 10 years in the future. So since Pan is already born that alone would change that part.
Yeah, but there’s always going to be DB content out there. They’ll prolly never stop making movies. The problem is that DBS is so good that it’ll be sad to see them end it prematurely. Would be nice if they could at least get one more arc after the Tournament of Power. I feel like they can’t end it after that without it feeling like something went wrong.

Ugh should I keep Charge beam on my Klang or Discharge? On one hand Charge beam helps out with raising its special attack, but is relatively weak (especially given that the line ins’t electric type) On the other hand Discharge is decently strong, but hurts all other things on the field so it’s a waste in double battles unless I’m willing to damage my own mon…….I just don’t know
I suggest Discharge as there are few double battle and even fewer that have water or flying types

(DwayneXD) Crustle- 9.5/10! This mon was actually really really good! It got two strong moves literally a few levels after I caught it and it was easy to level up! It was always good in nearly every situation and sturdy came in clutch more times than I can count. My only issue with this mon was how damn slow it was…..
(Nani Sore) Sigilyph- 9.5/10! This mon was again really good! Strong from the moment you get it, hits like a truck, levels up fast, and has access to fucking magic guard so it can soak status conditions. It also has some surprising coverage which only boosts its utility. If you find a life orb, this mon is scary.
(Aurelia) Cryogonal- 8.5/10! Very fast and shockingly strong! It also can eat literally any special attack thrown at it! The biggest issue is its abysmal defense stat. It literally can drop to quick attack from wild mons.
(Walter) Stunfisk- 6.5/10. This mon is honestly okay. It’s really bulky and gets a shitton of coverage. The biggest issue is that it doesn’t hit too hard and a lot of its moves don’t come in till much later.
(Rabuta berry) Basculin 4.5/10- Honestly I feel like not having adaptability soured my reputation of this mon because i KNOW it hits a lot harder with it. Without it, the thing is literally a frail water nuke with crunch. It’s…. not that good but it ain’t bad for sure
(Eliza) Cofagrigus- 2.0/10- This mon is fucking horrible. It looks bulky but it dies to strong hits. It can’t hit very hard. It REQUIRES the hex combo to do much of anything before it evolves. It doesn’t evolve to level 34 where it’s terrible until it does evolve. When it does, it doesn’t even get that much better outside of having more bulk. The worst part is that it’s SO SLOW

So my source seems to think not only Zeraora will be in the movie (which is kind of like duh at this point) but also something new that will set the stage for the new game. I wonder what that means. Maybe we’ll get a double reveal of new Pokemon (I’m not 100% on that one tho) or maybe we’ll have a new form change or mechanic shown in the new movie. It could be similar to how the Genesect movie went. Where we have the final Pokemon of the gen show cased like how Genesect was in the last gen 5 movie (in this case Zeraora) and then a new mechanic like how Mega evolution was shown. I could honestly see that. It would explain why Zeraora wasn’t revealed in December. If the “new” thing in the movie to promote what’s coming next is a mechanic then they don’t need to show off Zeraora super early to make room for anything. If this is the case I could see a tease of the new mechanic in April or May and then a full reveal at e3 or in August. Sort of like how they paced stuff out in 2013 only maybe a month or so different.

They do indeed. If you think about it they’d either have to have 2 events for it in both Gens or expect people to have USUM to transfer it to Gen 8. I’m not saying it’s impossible, it just seems such a pointless thing.
All in all this is just speculation on my part. Personally I feel that it will star alongside some new Pokémon. I see people speculating that Lugia is in the movie. Maybe just maybe It gets some new form? Similar to mewtwo in the genesect movie. Maybe that’s why we are getting ho-oh and lugia in November? Transfer the events to gen 8 and get new forms?
Lugia is definitely in the next movie, I think it’s been confirmed, though as to what role it plays we have yet to see. It is more likely that they would get some new form/thing as they have existed longer and are available in USUM without the event.
It could work. The event is mainly to help get the version exclusive you can’t get. Maybe they are getting new forms in the next game. Would be interesting to say the least!

Ok this is completely theory and nothing more. Lets say the new movie does reveal a new form/mechanic and it doesn’t have anything to do with Zeraora. And lets say a new Pokemon isn’t in the new movie. So what does that leave us? What if…..now bear with me…What if Lugia gets a new form or use of a new mechanic? I mean between the rumor about us possibly revisiting Kanto in some capacity, the last two movies being about Kanto and now presumably Johto, and the last Legends being offered as events for this year being Ho-oh and Lugia…..What if we’re in for a new thing involving them in some way? even if the new game takes place in a new region they could still pull that out of their hat as a way to promote. Just something to nibble on I suppose XD

Pokemon games consist of a story, post game, trading, breeding and competitive battling (probably more stuff, but that’s the core of it). To serperate any one of those components into a completely separate entity means you don’t get the full experience from a single game. If I have to buy a separate game in order to battle competitively then yes, the only way I get the full experience is to fork out more money. Unless I’m misundestaning exactly what you guys are proposing (which is likely, so I aplologise if that’s the case).
But I think this is a moot point for me at least considering I do nearly all of my competitive battling on Showdown since I prefer their ruleset and tier system.

For 160 damage it ain’t worth it
It’s like running the riskiest glass cannon in history (As in a typical match getting 5 energy on one Pokémon is risk enough without it fainting and losing those precious cards)
it has 180 health so id say if you can get it out, it’s pretty good
You need to have all the Regi’s on the bench (Which isn’t always the easiest task unless someone uses call for friends which most that have it are super frail, so I’d use Kangsahn from in the plasma days)
5 energy (unless it’s double energies its a bad move to do because when it faints unless you have specific cards you lose all of them and that’s 25% of energy at max because most decks have 20 energy)
If your running a stadium card this card is a big mistake (knowing it kills stadiums from anyone)
If you encounter a fighting deck you auto lose basically (Buzzwole GX and Mega Lucario are big in those kinds and can with stand its attack)
And with only having 6 prizes to lose, this thing needs be the center of the deck just to take out 1 to 2 Pokémon

The more confusing one is Cubone to Alolan Marowak since Rock Head is a regular ability as Cubone but it becomes Cursed Body upon evolving and Rock Head becomes a hidden ability as an Alolan Marowak.

but the Hidden Ability is often always competitive seeing how it can better use Flare Blitz
That and Lightning Rod are good for it. Cursed Body is the worst for it and basically only good for thematic reasons.

There are but not everyone has them on hand. Just careful abrading the glue without the skin does the job eventually.

It does take too long, especially getting the right IVs. I am breeding stuff for someone else and just swapping shinies that come up for stuff I want at the moment. Hatching just Magikarp can actually sometimes feel like it’s taking longer because it’s always seeing the same thing. If I couldn’t do it as mindlessly as I do while watching TV I might not manage it.

It’s why I prefer the Field Egg Group for Moves, so I can just use Smeargle if need be. The worst is breeding for perfect hidden powers, especially with 0 attack.

I traded for RNG’d perfect Dittos of every Hidden Power type with lowest possible attack IV and highest possible everything else so for me it’s not so bad. They still take ages to stack up though, especially when starting the ‘mon you’re breeding with basically from scratch.

I also have a 0 Speed Ditto and 0 attack+0Speed, a 6iv one and an all 0 one which I got mostly to help breed Wobbufet with 0 Defenses.

I have a perfect HP Fire Ditto (RNG’d for me by a French player in Gen 5) and Bulbasaur Parent. Also the random/wild IV turned out to be 0 in Attack so I took advantage of that.
But you got all 6 IVs perfect is pretty incredible still
It is, it’s really because with Destiny Knot 5 are guaranteed to pass form either parent, as both had the same IVs it was just down to the wild IV to also be perfect.

There are some real missed opportunities in the Johto seasons. One being that Cyndaquil never evolved (until Sinnoh). There’s an episode where it trains with ash so that it can battle a Skarmory and during the match Cyndaquil tanks 2 steel wings and basically activates something like Infernape’s Blaze ability in Sinnoh where its fire grows bigger and stuff. Would’ve been perfect opportunity to evolve it.

Something I noticed in the Arrowverse:
There are a lot of references to Bruce Wayne in Arrow/Flash (same Earth), but almost none to Batman. But in Supergirl (alternate Earth to A/F) we get many references to Batman, but not to Bruce Wayne. Could mean that on the A/F Earth Bruce Wayne isn’f a vigilante and on the Sg Earth he isn’t a Rich Celebrity. If the Titans Tv show is in the Arrowverse (and it probably is) it’s more likely to be set on the Sg Earth, tho that could make the chances of Kid Flash joining Titans smaller.

I’m not entirely sure but the GS ball is definitely involved. From the source I got this from:
“The GS Ball is obtained after beating the Elite Four. You head to the Goldenrod PC where it will be given to you (for some reason you must move right after entrance to make the event work). You then head to Kurt who will work on it for one day. After that, you get it back and are now able to head to Ilex Forest to battle Celebi! Back with some more maps! I updated Route 11 to better fit the overall region map (the region map shows it entering a city from the north). I also added the ice rock. Above that is Vouno City. I may change the design. Currently, it is a revamp of an old map I made for another area, but it seemed too complicated. So I’m using it now! The ski lift at the north of the city takes you to Vouno Peak, where one of the main characters lives.

Thank you! I was worried that the city is a little bland (I usually tend to split up my mountain edges, but this one I didn’t much). I might add some kind of skating rink or something silly in the space above the city and to the left of the ski lift part.
Changing it up and adding details could help but it looks like a nice little town anyway so I don’t think it’s something you absolutely must do.
That said, a skating rink would be great because it adds even more personality to the town

I’m not disavowing your system, you must understand I’ve had this system ever since I discovered my “connection” to the elements and I’ve had this feeling for as long as I can possibly remember
But back on task I just find as you stated those other abilities mere fragments or fusions of classical elements unnecessary on their own
I know, I just felt like sharing mine because it’s where the question is coming from. Also, light and dark manipulation are the same from a physical standpoint because ‘making darkness’ and ‘removing light’ has the same effect, and vice versa. From a fantasy sense they can differ tho.
In my system, fusions are separate because in whatever writing I use it in people can’t have both so the fusions have to be their own, with Ice and Vapour being separated from Water because without that distinction Water is just simply far too varied.
I personally put light and dark more of the spiritual and evil sense of the building blocks of the world since good and evil are very much apart of any world and must coexist together (to remove any of the two creates imbalance in the grand scheme of life)
If I was to incorporate it, it’d definitely be more ‘preserving force vs destructive force’ rather than good vs evil tbh.
Yeah that’s just me. There’s a spiritual sense of the elements or a logical viewpoint

Electrokinesis which could potentially destabilise someones cells, electrocute, power stuff, explode things, burn things etc
Pyrokinesis is largely obvious, being able to put out and absorb existing Fire might be very useful.
I can probably think of very destructive uses for all of them and some if not many constructive uses. The Plant one I’d make plants that produce ‘meat fruit’, that is exactly the same taste, texture and appearance as meat but doesn’t come with the killing or the negative health aspects for example.
Basically avatar but toned down a bit because nearly everyone would have them (so way less deadly)
If they were powerful enough, then couldn’t someone with Electrokinesis (which is what I’d probably choose) use a lot of the others? Atoms are inherently electronic in nature, and their interactions are primarily electronic.

Impish is pretty good. Hopefully you can evolve him before the end, you’ll probably want to level him to the same as the others before progressing too much further if you want to achieve it.

I needed to take a break from shiny hunting. I’ve neglected my other games that I need to beat and Pokemon has taken over. Maybe a break will make finding shinies and playing feel better. That said I’ve been playing Black like the others so I guess I really haven’t given up the series entirely lol
Same here I’ve been taking what little time I have to finish up my other games so far I just have Final FantasyIX, The Evil Within 2, a few builds that I’ve been thinking about in Minecraft and Everything.
So with DragonBall Super ending I think they only have a couple options left to them. Either they end it and spend the next few years doing movies and spin offs or they continue the series in a new show. In the case of the new show tho they’ll have to make some major decisions. If they choose to start after the final chapters of the original manga then they’ll need to retcon the sh!t out of the ending and completely ignore GT entirely. They may be able to get away with what happened in the last chapter of the original manga, but there’s no way GT would have ever happened given then events of Super now
First off I don’t see Goku becoming a kid with the events of Super happening. Given that they know actual gods in DBS it would be a no brainer that they would get in touch with Beerus and Whis first instead o going on a crazy adventure across the entire universe to find the Black star dragonballs. Also both Baby and the dark Shenrons or whatever wouldn’t give Goku or Vegeta a good fight if Super happened. They wouldn’t need SS4 in the slightest to beat them. So basically if they continues on with the story they’ll just need to gut the entire ending and completely ignore GT. None of it makes sense otherwise.
GT is a ‘What if?’, there is no way for it to work with Super.
I mean it’d have to be a “what if?” now. Given how Toriyama has basically disowned it and had mostly noting to do with it and how he actually gives a crap about Super I can’t imagine GT would take precedent. They’ll have to completely scrap it from the series or retcon the crap out of it.
It’ll stay for games like Heroes but that’s about it. I do like GT but it is undoubtedly the worst of Dragonball.
It just didn’t feel like DB to me. They had a very specific world with very specific kinds of characters in Z and then all of a sudden they all felt different. It was almost like all the characters changed into something unrecognizable. Also the animation was not what I wanted after Z. They really went in a direction that was not great.
Personally I feel they are just going to go on a hiatus and come out with a dragonball super z or something like that. I do wonder how the tournament is going to end
That’s more or less what I’m thinking. I’m not sure they’ll want to do nothing after how popular Super got. Super in and of itself is done. A new sequel could happen tho. One where there’s another time skip and they completely write over GT and do a brand new story.
All I know is it’s exciting. I am holding it hope that vegeta ends up winning the tournament here but I know deep down goku will lol

One thing I will say as someone who owns both 2 is a HUGE improvement over the first one at least in my personal opinion. It’s like the difference between tenakichi 1 and 2 lol and fighterz does look awesome! Hopefully it comes to switch!
My problem with the first Xenoverse was it was too much of the same story and not enough new. I got to at least the Cell fight and felt like I might as well just be watching the show. Yeah there are some differences, but it wasn’t enough to fully pull me in. Maybe if the character customization was more fleshed out by that point in the game….idk…..XP
I can understand that. Xenoverse two had more differences in the story I will say. Some movie characters got involved in certain arcs. And if a 3 ever happens I hope the story gets involved somewhat with dragonball and maybe GT. Mainly dragonball though.

Jumping off of my previous post. Why in the world did they think it was a good idea to change Trunks’ hair color to blue in the Goku Black arc? I get that his hair was originally supposed to be blue in the manga, but considering young Trunks has purple hair idk why they would even bother.
Idk, I thought that the other day. Only thing I can think is maybe it changed as he got older? I guess he could’ve dyed it for no reason. Or it’s just to show he’s an alternate version (not that they felt the need before).
I mean it’s not a alternate Trunks given that when he came back originally he had purple hair and from what I’ve heard this is the same Trunks that was from the Android arc. So idk……I guess just to differentiate him more from young Trunks? Just seems like a dumb change after so long.
It’s not alternate future Trunks but it is alternate from the Trunks of the main timeline is what I meant. It’s really not necessary unless Toriyama requested it.

I really hate how in the Johto games both Houndour and Slugma are in Kanto. That’s half the Johto introduced Fire types. If I don’t use Typhlosion I guess I’ll go with Magby.
In HGSS you can get Slugma in an egg from that guy Primo in Violet city at least. The fact that Houndour is locked to Kanto sucks….Idk why they did that.

In official new Pokemon Crystal is coming at the end of this month. In addition to that every months starting next there’s a legendary event where you can get the version exclusives going up to November. December remains vacant soooooooooooo Well I wont’ say it, but a certain Pokemon game may or may not be out by then hahaha
Interesting. It’s very cool to see that Pokemon’s doing a year of legendaries similarly in vein to the year of mythical two years ago.
And Crystal coming out on the VGC is really nice, I may do a nuzlocke on it later.
Yeah this year is shaping up to be very similar to how it was in 2016 with all the events and special things going on. The only thing missing is the main title release which some of us see as possibly not far off. Altho that’s still no where to be seen haha

I’m having a really great time. I’m at the Pokemon league now. I’ve gotten grind a little to get my team battle ready, but otherwise it’s been a fun playthorugh. I usually don’t feel this good replaying a Pokemon game haha
I think Star and Seraph just decided to do one together and everyone just followed behind them
So I watched the first episode of the Goku Black arc from last night. Looking pretty promising. There’s a few things I want to say. First off it looks like it’ll be a really cool arc. I’ve heard it’s one of the best in the series. Second I can’t say I’m a fan of Mai being in adult Trunks’ world. In his timeline she wouldn’t have turned back into a kid because Bulma’s birthday party wouldn’t have ever happened. So it doesn’t make sense for her to be the same age as Trunks. She’d either be dead or an old woman. Other than that I’m cool with things. I’m surprised how far into the episode it took them to reference that this is in fact the same Trunks that went back in time the first time. I was afraid I had missed something and this was actually a different Trunks. It would have been interesting, but I’d prefer this being the same version of him. I’m looking forward to seeing how he reacts to everyone being so different in the present day. Gohan will likely surprise him……maybe disappoint him hahaha
I will say that the fight scenes later on do get nicely animated and great, and there’s a return to a cool character last seen in the Majin Buu Arc in Z

If they had done the friends better then it would have been a better experience overall I think. They just weren’t characters I wanted around and had no meaning. If they fixed them I think the game would have been better.

The Chinese leaks public reveal on December 26th has been bugging me ever since the post on here a few weeks ago. I’ve been looking constantly every day for new info/rumors/leaks. Trying to think positive but it’s really hard to when such a big change like a new battle system supposedly similar to Digimon World could potentially damage the system that we’ve known and loved and that has worked for 20+ years. Also nervous about the potential Kanto Remake rumors. I want a new region, I DO NOT WANT Kanto again! How do you guys manage to separate rumors/leaks from reality and move on with life? I just can’t seem to do that.
Because the majority of leaks are fake and even when they’re real they don’t convey the whole truth.
And it’s about time the franchise has a change, I’d say COD’s changed more and that’s notorious for being the same game

“leak” It’s a rumor. Anything at this point is a rumor. There have yet to be any confirmed leaks. So as always anything you hear should be taken with a grain of salt.
I wouldn’t worry about the battle system. Even if it is in fact different I doubt GF would do anything terribly crazy with it. It’ll likely be easily understandable and if all goes well fun. Pokemon fans will just have to learn the new way of battling. I know many Pokemon fans hate change, but it’s really not that scary.

I hope Game Freak knows what they are doing if the battle system changes rumor is true. I don’t want them to alienate those that have been playing for 20 years since Red and Blue released. That’s what I’m most worried about in all honestly. Especially the statements that have been made by your source (I know who they are but I won’t say their name since you said they want to say anonymous) comparing it to the Digimon World games. I watched footage of Digimon World in action and it looks nothing at all compared to Pokemon.
I doubt it will be exactly like DW. GF will make their own system. That was just a comparison likely to say how it will be more action-y than turn based. I feel it will still stay very Pokemon even if it turns the game into an action RPG. Also think ya kindly. I’m trying to keep their trust so even if some people know who I’m talking about I’d rather keep it to a select few than let the whole world know. That way they don’t get attacked with questions and such.

You said that your source told you just recently that the story may be similar to B/W and S/M, so I was just curious to see if you had any new information about the supposed battle system changes.
Nah not much more than that. My source likely has their own sources as they aren’t actually directly connected to Pokemon or GF. So they get their info and then if they feel like passing it on they do. I don’t think they know much more than what I’ve outlined. They may, but they haven’t give me anymore details than that. Of course when I get info I’ll share. I’d say we should keep our eyes on February. Given that they told me something big may be coming I think that’s when we”ll see whatever it is first. could be Zeraora, but it could be something brand new. At this point all we can do is wait and see.

It certainly is. That said even if Zeraora is the next reveal my source says that the movie will likely feature something that will “set the stage” . I gotta imagine either a new Pokemon will be in the movie or a new mechanic.
I’m nervous that if this news is announced in February then it could be Kanto Remakes for the Switch to coincide with the 22nd Anniversary in Japan. I hope to Arceus that this is NOT the case! But if it is Kanto Remakes though, I’ll try to stay positive (hopefully) and hope that they have enough new to justify a return to the region for like the 5th time and that the battle system and mechanics are not destroyed enough where it’s like a major reboot like some people (like Lockstin) have predicted.
I would say regardless of what the new game is that next month we’ll get Zeraora first. Then in March we’ll get a reveal.
Yeah. We tend to always get Mythical Pokemon reveals in February. So I would bet my money that we’ll see Zeraora next month. Though last year, they announced Marshadow in April along with a new movie trailer for Pokemon, I Choose You! to showcase it’s role in the movie.
Yeah, but last year was a mid gen year. They didn’t need to announce Marshadow until then. This time if the game really is coming they’ll need to get Zeraora out of the way asap before showing off something new.
That’s true. Like you’ve said before, we really have to just wait and see what happens. I think I’m going to try to go with mindset of this until we get the official announcement of the Switch games for any rumors going forward: “It’s just rumors, not official pieces of news. Just ignore anything as fiction until we get the official announcement. Whenever that may be.” I suppose whatever makes me feel better and works I guess.
Let’s be real, 99% are fake unless they have some sort of proof. The starters had that same classified shitt and the style as the other leaks, the sprites for USUM looked like proper sprites before Scires confirmed them, and so on

It’ll be that old in September since Red and Blue were released in September of 1998 in the U.S. That also reminds me. I should really get around to finishing Pokemon Gold on the 3DS VC. Who else hasn’t finished Gold/Silver 3DS VC or is planning to get Crystal for the VC?
I’m planning on getting Crystal. I never got it and I plan on spending hours hating it and myself shiny hunting Celebi, Ho-Oh and Lugia.
Oh god. Shiny hunting Celebi. Good luck with that! It was the opposite for me. I had Crystal when I was a kid but never bought Gold or Silver. So when Gold and Silver were first announced for the 3DS VC, I was excited to get one of them.

That’s really cool! Red and Blue came out in the United States two weeks before my 5th birthday. But that’s not as special as Red and Green being trademarked on the exact day of your birthday. xD

Rick and Morty got pushed to 2019? Weird. DBS is technically just done. The series isn’t cancelled as a whole, but Super is done in March. If the show starts back up it’ll have a new name most likely.

I hope for Pokemon switch they bring back Triple battles. They were probably my favorite battle mode. It’s just so fun. I hated rotation, but if they bring one they got to bring the other. And they should also bring back Inverse battles. Inverse battles would make a good Battle Frontier Facility tbh.

My Winter break has been going on since December 15 and it finally ends today. For the first time in my life I’m actually not sad about it ending because I’m becoming bored out of my mind. I’m one of those people who actually ends up doing more with my free time when I have less of it, so I’m looking forward to the months to come. Of course, I’ll probably have lots more homework this semester than last semester but maybe that’s not such a bad thing!

that’s like calling Bakugan Pokemon’s rival. Lego is 100 times bigger and more important.
I mean, they’re still rivals. They still compete for licenses. Spongebob and TMNT have gone back and forth between the companies and honestly Lego should be kicking themselves in the ass for missing out on such a huge franchise. Pokemon literally writes itself money. The whole aspect of pokemon is to collect and combine that with Lego and you’d be set.
Honestly I’m glad they’re at Mega Construx though because Lego doesn’t do brick built creatures well, nor do they do as many printed pieces as they should since last year was the first year they saw a dip in profits. Maybe they should’ve not invested in stupid franchises like Angry Birds and instead tried harder to get some more heavy hitters on their side.
That said, I love Lego and the revival of the Lego Harry Potter theme this year makes me so happy.

Yeah, but Mega is just a knock off. Lego was the first brand to make that sort of building blocks and Mega was created to cash in on Lego’s success. Lego is better in almost every possible way. Building Blocks should inspire creativity, so creating a brand that’s supposed to rip off what Lego is doing is just wrong.
I disagree. Competition is what drives Lego to be better and is all around better for consumers if there are more options. I also wouldn’t say Lego is necessarily better at all. Yes, the quality of their plastic is slightly better and they do have more popular themes, but they’re also more expensive and consistently make errors to save a buck.
You can see that in this years Marvel and DC themes. The prints on the Black Panther figures is incredibly disappointing and does a huge disservice to the amazing costumes from that movie. And the comic DC sets are literally trash. Horrible prints and builds. Casuals who don’t regularly collect won’t notice the difference, but when you pour hundreds of dollars each year into Lego like my brother and I do, their errors are glaring.
I’ve been really pleased with how mega construx has represented pokemon so far. There are only a few of the designs I’m iffy on.
Yeah, but still. It doesn’t matter how detailed the sets are, what matters to me is that Mega was created to cash in on somebody else’s idea that succeded. It’s just a rip off. That’s enough for me to never buy anything they make. They should’ve tried to create an original toy.
Honestly I guarantee that a ton of the products you enjoy/have enjoyed throughout your life were not originally designed by that company and were really “copied”

Why the hell did they even remove triple/rotation battles in Gen 7? The only reasons I can think of are
1. The backgrounds
2. The trainer being visible
Which like… solutions to both are to simplify the background and to remove the trainer in that battle type. I don’t understand

Cos the 3DS wasn’t powerful enough to handle triple battles with full 3D models without suffering from serious lag, as was apparent during Gen 6.
But why keep it in Gen 6 but not Gen 7? Especially when Gen 7 is already more optimized.
