Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
- Version 1.1 of the games is now available for download in the Nintendo eShop! Requiring 539 Blocks, the patch fixes a number of bugs:
- Fixes a bug where Ion Deluge doesn’t work
- Fxes a bug where Wide Guard reduced damage from all Z-Moves instead of just Clangorous Scales
- Fixes a bug where the first move is deleted if you teach a Pokémon with 3 or fewer moves a move at the Move Tutor
- Fixes a bug where the game would periodically freeze shortly after selecting Litten as your Starter Pokémon
- However, due to the changes all Battle Videos recorded before the patch will unfortunately not be accessible anymore
- The second Global Mission has begun! This time around our goal is to collectively earn 1,000,000 Beach Points through Mantine Surf by Christmas day. If we succeed all participating players will receive 2,000 FC (4,000 FC if they have a Global Link account attached to their game) while a failure will result in a 1,000 FC reward (2,000 FC if connected to the Global Link)
- The Global Mission goal has already been exceeded as of December 14th
- The games will have a robust online maintenance on December 18th, 5:00pm-7:00pm PST
Pokkén Tournament DX
- The Thunderclap Press Cup will be ongoing from December 22nd to December 31st! Participating players will receive a special title reward based on the Pikachu Libre fighter, gaining even more unique titles the higher they place in the Special Group Match
Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!
- For those who didn’t catch the film in theaters or TV, or just want to rewatch the film, it is now available digitally on iTunes, Amazon, and the Google Play store to purchase or rent in the US and some parts of Europe. A physical release of the movie is set for next year
Great Detective Pikachu (Film & Game)
- The Detective Pikachu film has been slated for a May 10th, 2019 release date
- The Detective Pikachu game that was released exclusively to Japan last year has been given a PEGI 3 rating by the European Game Rating board. The rating release also came with an attached release date of December 31st, 2020, however this date is purely a place holder
Special Edition Pikachu 2DS XL
- It has been confirmed that the special edition Pikachu 2DS XL that was released in Japan earlier this month will be available for purchase in Europe starting January 26th, 2018. No word on release in other regions
LINE
- For those with the popular messaging app a new set of stickers from The Pokémon Company International are now available to purchase for $1.99//£1.49/¥240
Pokémon Trading Card Game
- The upcoming TCG set will be called Ultra Prism and features over 150 new cards! This set will introduce the new Prism card which, when discarded or KO-ed, is transferred to the Lost Zone and can’t be recovered. As per official rules only one Prism card can be included in any given deck
Pokémon Duel
- The Fairy Gym Cup has begun in game
- Version 5.0.3 of the turn based mobile strategy game is now available! 247MB in size, the update brings new figures and plates, and is required to download in order to continue playing the game:
- New UX Figure: Mega Scizor
- New EX Figures: Scizor & Magearna
- New R Figures: Mr. Mime & Metang
- New UC Figures: Mime Jr., Beldum, & Togedemaru
Pokémon Shuffle
- The new Chespin (Winking) stage is now available until December 19th
- The Shiny Mega Diancie Escalation Battle stage has begun and is available until
- The following stages have begun repeat runs until December 19th: Nihilego, Tornadus (Therian Form), Deoxys (Attack Form), and Delibird (Holiday)

Why does a Short, Japan-only Download-only Spin-Off get a movie?
Way easier then a main series one and I think to not have to go with the cliche of typical Pokémon games
And it is basically confirmed to be coming to Europe and the U.S. within a few years (Probably a full version combining the existing game with a second half)

You can get infinite pheromosa lol so just catch one for the dex and then go back to shiny hunting

Headcanon Time:
Sinnoh’s routes are 201+ because it’s the northernmost Region in the Japan
Hoenn’s are 101+ because it’s the southernmost.
Kanto and Johto are 1+ because they’re central.
headcanon is odd hundreds are between Hoenn and Johto and Evens are between Sinnoh and Kanto.
I think it’s more just a way of keeping Gens 1-4 connected but still different.
Kanto obviously would have the route numbers in the 1-10s because it was the first region
Johto it makes sense to continue from Kanto given that they’re directly connected
Hoenn is farther from Kanto/Johto, so its routes start from 100 (like a half-reboot)
Sinnoh does the same thing b/c it’s not directly linked to Kanto, Johto, or Hoenn, and starts from 200 b/c Hoenn already started from 100
Unova is an actual reboot of sorts, so it started from 1 again. And then there’s no point to go back into the 100s/200s again so Kalos and Alola each start from 1 as well (you could also make some sort of distance argument).

My Headcanon was the Even/Odd Routes thing and He Responded with the official Reason GF gave to Route Numbers Resetting and Didn’t know that was a thing.

as you said, the official reason was because Hoenn and Sinnoh weren’t directly connected to Kanto and Johto, and the Sevii islands have no route numbers as to not make people think you could go to Johto in FRLG, and since New York, France and Hawaii are so far away they started over from 1.
So We know Lieutenant Surge is American and took part in some Modern Pokemon War, we just don’t know where from, he could be from Unova, Orre or Alola since all of them are Based on parts of the USA, or somewhere they haven’t invented yet. I want to know how/why he decided to settle in Japan.
I’d imagine since he’s a military man he had the opportunity to travel a lot and he just fell in love with Kanto and stayed there

So apparently I haven’t played Ultra Moon since November 25…I’m still at the beginning of Poni Island, but I’ll make the completion of the story a priority for the day. Things have just been so crazy with finals and life stuff, I guess I never realized how long it’s been.

Yes it was small. You have a very very narrow view of gaming. In the wide scale of gaming, it is tiny. You see it as a bigger franchise than it is because you’re super into it.
It’s a super casual game and while there isnt anything wrong with that, it isn’t Odyssey or BOTW. Even the Kirby and Yoshi games on the Switch coming out are not exactly heavy hitters
Kirby is small, it’s absolutely dwarfed by other franchises. And Conquest is small, like two people heard of it

SuMo sold less than XY and BW sold even less than both. And HGSS is the second lowest Pokémon game in the Top 41 most sold Nintendo games being in 32 while beating FRLG by one place
And oddly BW2, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum aren’t even on the list at all (Note yellow and ORAS are on the list so they aren’t just clumped together)… Also RBG is the 5th highest sold video game in Nintendo history only beaten by the original Mario game, Both Wii sports games and Mario Kart Wii

XY was way more hyped than Sun and Moon because they were capitalizing on the growing 3DS hardware and transitioning from 2D sprites to 3D models. The same thing will happen with the Switch game(s) for obvious reasons, and then Gen 9 will likely dip again.

Just Remember, because Shininess and Gender are both tied to the Attack DV, Female Starters and others with that Gender Ratio can never be Shiny. Females also have low Attack.

Focus Sash? it disappears after it saves you, in exchange it always activates that one time. unless you meant band.

I had max affection with incineroar which saved me twice and in turn allowed me to setup two roto boosts after which i OHKO’ed it with malicious moonsault

So apparently on the 28th there’s going to be a special or something that’ll talk about past episodes leading up to the current and then also whats’ to come in the series as well. Maybe we can get a good idea of how much the SM anime seasons has left. If they tease a long arc like the Orange islands/Decolore/BF then that should be telling us enough to know how much we have before a proper announcement of the next gen. If we only see teases of Ula’ula and maybe some small stuff the who knows. The anime has been burning through content left and right and a sudden slow down would be jarring. Unless they have another filler arc that has a TON of content then I can’t imagine what they would fill almost 2 years with.
We shall see I guess. I think a lot of people are jumping to conclusions right now just because zeraora wasn’t revealed. Some are automatically saying that means gen 7 will last three years and gen 8 won’t come until 2019. 2018 is still very possible same with 2019. We can only wait and see. Either way I expect our first trailer for the switch games at E3 at the latest

You dont have to kill it. What Im doing is Ty to find the first one. Not shiny then SR then encounter first again not shiny RE. so on.

There was a guy on Gamefaqs who said he caught one, killed the other one, beat RR and came back to soft reset for the one he killed, and claimed that he was able to find the shiny. This is possible or not?

I’m at that part in the game, and I did some testing. The only thing I’ve concluded is that if you run away from both Stakataka, the “mission” ends. I don’t know if you can go back and get them though after doing RR — I don’t want to lose them for good on accident.
All I know is that they keep respawning after you run away or knock them out until you catch both, but you have to exit the area of course. In an ideal world, I’d like to catch one for the pokedex and save the other one for later to soft reset, but I’m hearing mixed reports about whether it’s possible. I don’t want to wait until I finish soft resetting (which may never happen) to unlock Rainbow Rocket.
That’s exactly what I wanted to do too. I’ll see if running away from both, then exiting and coming back will let you get them again.
They’re encounters in Poni Grove (so it’s not like they have an overworld that you interact with). I think the first two encounters are always the UB, and then the mission ends, but I’m not sure if they’ll come back or not if I leave and come back.
Thank you, however my main question beyond that is whether that resets the shiny odds or not. Apparently this did work for someone, and I guess I can take their word for it since they made the topic asking about it in the first place.
So when the mission ends, you’re transported back home and then immediately thrown into the RR story. So I can’t fly back and see if they reset or not.

It has been a tough week because of last exams that can’t be called finals because of Hurricane Irma but are still treated like Finals. However, after tomorrow I will finally be free of this semester and can once again pick up UM. I am kind of glad that they released the 3rd Gen on Pokémon Go. It has made walking around campus more enjoyable. I am quite glad with my roster as is. Despite breaks that lasted between 3 and 6 months I have plenty of strong Pokémon.

Am I the only one who thinks the use of the Joycons for throwing Pokeballs and doing the Z move dances is not that amazing of an idea? I can’t imagine myself wanting to do it like EVERY time. Like most of the time I’ll be using a pro controller when playing on TV and when I’m on the go the Joycons will be attached to the Switch anyway. It’s a fun gimmick, but I can’t see myself doing it more than a handful of times.

So I know this is a trite topic but does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve hail. I don’t think Gamefreak will improve Ice types anytime soon, but they did make some progress with Aurora Veil. I have been thinking that maybe they could have the Sp. Def of Ice types boosted in Hail (another obvious one) and have Dark types benefit from hail. Not sure how but every other weather has had multiple types benefiting from its effects. For Rain, it is Water Types but Electric and Flying types also get some benefits as well. For Sun, both Fire and Grass types get a boost. And Sandstorm helps out Rock, Steel, and Ground types. Any thoughts?
They could make it Def in contrast to the Rock only Sp.Def boost in Sandstorm

I was thinking that as well, but Ghost already has a lot of similarities offensively with Dark types (They both hit Ghost and Psychic types for SE damage). And with the added Fairy weakness I think that Dark types need a little bit extra added to their niche when compared to Ghost types.
I think Ice should get a Defense boost in hail, because they need more help with defense than special defense
Besides that, maybe make another type take no (or less) damage from Hail
I guess. From a quick glance over of the Ice types we have now it seems like that more of them have a greater defense than special defense. Regardless, more of them may benefit from the Defense boost considering that three of their weaknesses (Rock, Steel, and Fighting) lean towards Pokémon with Physical movesets.
I think they should shorten the hail damaging and just automatically take out a few without any messages.

Can I just say how much I love the digimon tri movies? I love the fact that they did something with the original cast and they they are giving everyone their own Megas besides just tai and Matt. I am enjoying it so far personally. Bought confession over weekend and I am marathoning all of them today.
My main problem is the pacing. I’ve watched 5 movies and the pacing is so terrible, plus by the end of the 5th movie the plot is all over the place and i don’t think one last movie will be enough to save it.

Dang I just realized the year ends in 13 days. To that I say I am ready. I am honestly ready for this year to end. A lot of ups and downs but I am so ready to put everything bad that happened behind me and move completely forward in 2018. Yeah I am ready for this year to end. That said I am in a much better place than I was late last year when everything started happening and I am ready for 2018 so I can put all of this behind me. Some good cams of it though. I am closer to my friends and family again and I lost a lot of weight after gaining a lot the past nearly three years.

I want to add something to this. If I can give anyone here some friendly advice on a relationship don’t settle for just anyone. If you are arguing a lot and the person tries to put a wall up between you and your family or your friends it’s not a good sign. I wish I had realized it earlier myself but hey that’s life you make mistakes. Only thing you can do is learn from them and overall if life pushes you down you get back up and keep moving.

Well I finally got my first fully evolved kanto starter in Pokémon go lol my favorite kanto starter no less so that’s a plus. Now I just need to get charizard bladtoise and typhlosion. Also my favourite Kanto Starter. It was my first starter that I chose with my brother in Blue. I also used a Shiny Mega one in X.
Funnily enough as a kid it was my least favorite but as grew older it really grew on me!
I think Charizard was my favourite for the longest time. Bulbasaur+Ivysaur and Charmander+Charmeleon were pretty much tied. I think my favourite mid-stage is actually Wartortle though.

I noticed on this article that the USUM games are supposed to be undergoing robust maintenance from 5:00 to 7:00 pm PST. I haven’t updated my UM game yet to the newest version, so does that mean that I can’t play it now as a break during this period of time because I can’t update it?

Meh I don’t think I ever watched House of Cards. I watch only a select few Netflix shows and The Ranch just happens to be one of them
Neither had I but it was a pretty big show for Netflix. I hear seasons 1-4 are good, but frankly I don’t know that I can be bothered at the moment. I recently watched Wet Hot American Summer which I found really funny for the most part. It has a fair amount of absurdist humour which I enjoy. You need to watch the movie, then first day at camp, then 10 years later.
