As many speculated when Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver were released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console last year, fans will get a chance to re-play the classic Pokémon Crystal as well.
Set for a release on January 26, 2018, it will include the ability to deposit caught Pokémon in Pokémon Bank and transfer them to Gen VII games. The re-release of Crystal will also allow players to encounter the legendary Celebi!
I, for one, am massively excited! The animated sprites of Crystal are some of the most iconic in the series. It also finally let you choose the gender of your trainer at the outset of your adventure! This will be a great way to start 2018 for trainers across the world!

I had thought that the Net Neutrality Act was something that Pai was trying to get passed not that it was getting repealed. I should have made the connection that the websites that I was looking at about saving Net Neutrality was for the Net Neutrality Act. I am mentioning this on the site because I made a few comments here that might have left some of you confused on my stance on the Net Neutrality Act. I am really hoping that it does not get repealed, I mean if it does than this day would be just as bad if not worse as the day that Trump was elected to be President. After that I assume X-men will reboot into MCU continuity, Deadpool can do what it likes as long as Disney are cool with it, just release it under the Fox banner, he can just wake up in a Disney animation or something briefly to slyly acknowledge it. Gambit movie will likely go down again. Not sure on the TV shows. Maybe they can bring Mutants into Agents of Shield and say they were in hiding, especially with all the inhuman controversy.

Welp I should have expected this. I am not sure if I am going to get the Crystal virtual console as I haven’t finished my Gold virtual console run. I still needed to fight Red. I am hoping that the delayed release of Crystal may be some sign that regional forms of Johto Pokémon are to come in Gen 8. However for that to work they would need to have Pokémon Bank on the Switch in order to transfer Pokémon from the 3DS games to the Switch. Thus, I must ask if it is possible to use Pokémon Bank to transfer Pokémon between games of different systems.

It is. Combat’s really great, story is good, just overlook all the boob/fanservice and cringy moments, but there’s a lot of good stuff out there. Be warned it’s loooong. Like 80 hours to clear the story. Don’t buy if you can’t commit the time. It’s slightly JRPG jank though in that the environments are great as a whole, but don’t expect super detailed cutscenes or the best textures ever, performance is always smooth, but the game has this slight ‘cheap’ feeling (it’s not The Witcher 3). Def a good game though, I think this is the most enjoyable combat in a JRPG from the last five years.

Garchomp- I’ll be honest, it does look cool and has a pretty heat concept. It’s certainly not a bad design…. but I honestly feel nothing towards it …. I like Salamence, Tyranitar, hell literally every other pseudo a fair amount. Garchomp has always been a mon who was just there for me and never really resonated with me like any of the other pseudos
Blastoise- A mono water starter who is from gen 1…. I don’t know why but Blastoise nor the squirtle line in general ever caught my interest. Like this thing just bores me… I mean I had my Charizard phase as a kid but I eventually started to like Venusaur over the others…. so to be frank, I never felt much towards blastoise
Mewtwo- Another mon who falls into the i don’t care category. I get how strong it is and all, but the pure amount of fanpandering it’s involved in made me begin to grow numb to its presence. I mean it’s cool but I don’t exactly care much about it
Darmanatan: Gen 5 had fire types… a lot. There were incredible ones, like Chandelure, and shitty ones, like… y’know, S I M I S E A R. To be honest, this thing just became popular out of nowhere imo. I mean I think it started with shofu but I dunno. Needless to say, I didn’t really find it that interesting compared to the trillions of other cool mons the region had.

Groudon, aka Groodon (Normal form)- I’ll say that its primal form is really fuckin cool…but it’s normal form never appealed to me. I always felt that designwise it was really generic. I mean Kyogre was too but I thought it looked cool. For some reason I never really cared for Groudon.
Mimikyu-I like it, I just don’t feel motivated to train one up. I like it’s Shiny a lot too though.

No, they really don’t. Hopefully for the **Platinum** remake they will include it (since I’m through with their two games bull that won’t work on the Switch). Also I really think changing the contest system should be a top priority in a Sinnoh remake. It’s boring and frustrating with 0 payoff. You seriously don’t get anything good from doing contests. The best ORAS gave us was locking tradable mega stones behind master rank contests. How lame. That and making the underground more fun and less confusing/less grid based, completely redoing the honey on trees thing that takes way too long to summon a pokemon and where some of them are just too rare. Also keeping the battle frontier.

I just don’t find them fun especially when someone swoops in and steals my 5 stars..I want contests to be more like the anime where actual skill is needed. Where it’s about what your pokemon can create and even how they perform in battle. So I say revamp them or cut them altogether and replace them with a more fun variant. Pokeathlon is 1000x better

Name: Pokémon Amber and Pokémon Amethyst (returning to the gem-based names from 2-4)
Region: Madria (named after Madrid, capital of Spain)
Based on: Spain
# of Pokémon: ~90-100 (too little would make it unmemorable, too many would make it feel like another revamp of G1)
Plot: You, the main character, arrive here from Sinnoh. Upon arrival, you learn that you have been requested to meet with the region’s professor, Professor Olive (named after Olive Trees). She is young with a clear hispanic influenced look, sporting a cool purple-orange mixture (based on Amber and Amethyst). She appears to be talking with Cynthia, who also had arrived from Sinnoh. They then give you a chance to pick one of the 3 Pokémon starters; Flamencia, the Flamenco Flamingo Pokémon (Fire type), Dolfi, the Dolphin Pokémon (Water type) and Maura, the Floral Donkey Pokémon (Grass type). Afterwards you encounter your rival, which would be the opposite gender character (ex. male character will be Grayson, female character will be Sophia). The rival would choose the Pokemon weak to yours, however later on would gain a strong move that’s strong against your Pokémon. Afterwards, you’re told about the 8 Gyms, along with the 4 Spirits Challenges, exclusive to that region. There’d also be a threat, called Team Ladino, who threatens the region with turning it into their own paradise. After going through the 8 Gyms (element order: Poison, Electric, Grass, Ground, Flying, Fairy, Psychic, Dragon) and 4 Spirit Challenges (Fire’s Burst; Tapu Flafa, Water’s Gush; Acoral, Ghost’s Haunting; Poltergas, Bug’s Bite, Monarchee). Afterwards you’re put to the challenge by the Team Ladino boss and infiltrate their area yada, yada, then go to the League and battle the Elite Four (Dragon – Ryuki, Grass – Abigail, Poison – Harriet, Fire – Combustorr) and the Champion, which is revealed to be your rival. After wards you go ahead and heal, then battle Cynthia, who’s considered “The Ambassador of Sinnoh”. You’ll receive the 9th badge known as the “Sinnoh-Madria Friendship Badge” and gain access to Sinnoh. You’ll be able to visit ~3 special cities which would come into play in the Gen 4 remakes.
The returning to gem names thing is kinda dumb IMO
Beginning plot is too similar to gen 7. Sinnoh also gets shoehorned in for absolutely no reason, considering you later say that Gen 4 remakes would be coming out…

One or two Rock Tombs should do
1) Evolve your Torracat. My starter was a lvl 35 Primarina while battling Olivia. For BOTH games.
2) Evolve your Seel. It evolves at 33 I think so you should have no problem solving it.
3) Overall level up your team higher, they’re at a pretty weak level.

He’s not at a weak level, you just terribly overlevel. You’re not meant to have a Primarina at that point because you’re actually meant to be on Olivia’s level.
Not saying there’s anything wrong with that but most of your team being around Olivia level (aka: what your team is meant to be) isn’t ‘weak levelling’.
Well technically I’m not overleveled as if I was, my Pokemon wouldn’t be listening to me. Lvl. 35 is after all the highest level you can get at least that’s what Hala says after you defeat him.
That’s for traded Pokémon. You’re overlevelled because you’re drastically over the games levelling curve for boss battles.
Eh, I just love Primarina, I max affection them,keep EXP Share on and usually use it first.
That’s overlevelling 101 m8, Kurusu is at the ‘intended’ level so I don’t think telling him to drastically level his team is the best idea because some people may want difficulty in their games

Level up Jangmo-O a bit more for a start. Give Furball Leech Life over Scratch if it can learn it as Torracat.

I can’t see Prima being a good fighter at all. It’s completely awkward on land.
They should bring back Squirtle and Ivysaur and balance it out with the Gen 8 FE grass starter

I like them both design wise but pretty much all gen 7 starters are pretty average.
I just wish they’d add more less overrated Pokemon and more powerful ones like the Tapu 4 for example. It’d be neat plus their “skins’ could be of each + shiny of each, instead of adding “ooh owl archer cuz everyone likes him yeah lets do this again like we did with greninja and charizard cuz they popular and nobody likes the other two hahaha”.

Why? It’s good. I really like Pascal the chameleon, the magic of her hair, there were some good songs and a pretty great story. It’s not like Tangled asked for the next Disney princesses to look the same. Also they often looked similar in 2D, some animation cells are literally re-used. I do love hand drawn animation though, I think it stopped because the audiences did.

We should get Midnight Lycanroc if anything, think they were popular enough to get a new form for USUM. You can’t say it would look awkward because its perfectly suited for combat games like this (Think, Duck Hunt was suitable so a Bipedial wolf can too), unlike its other forms it has more options for attacks they an give it and let’s be honest it looks like it could be more villainous so it could fit in with Bowser and that crowd
