Another Legendary Pokémon is making its way to Pokémon GO!
Because of the hard work of all Pokémon GO players during the Pokémon GO Global Catch Challenge last week, Niantic is making Ho-Oh available in game! From now until December 12th you’ll be able to encounter and catch the Fire-type Legendary via Legendary Raid Battles!

Eh, to be honest, I don’t really play Go that much anymore. I picked it up again for a little bit after they put out Johto pokemon but it just doesn’t excite me anymore. So even though it seems really cool to have all these legendaries it’s too little too late for me ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Same for me to be honest. Played for around a month when the game first came out, and played for another couple of weeks when Gen 2 Pokemon were released, but it’s not something I can commit to especially as I refuse to pay a penny for in-game purchases…
So I had a sort of epiphany out of nowhere today for a really interesting game idea that takes advantage of the Switch exclusively, and I’m seriously considering following through with it. I don’t want to give anything away right now, but I’m calling it “Project Black Friday” because it was inspired by the whole insane shopping season. I don’t really know why I’m so enthusiastic about this but I wanted to say it here because I felt like it 😛 I’ll need to teach myself game design and all of that but I honestly think this could be a hit.

Wow, that sounds like so much fun…really it does! I can’t describe it so well yet, it combines elements of a lot of games I’ve played but is also its own thing. It’s a bit like Wall-E combined with Frankenstein, Rhythm Heaven, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. I hope that doesn’t make sense.

Fuuuuuuuuuuu I think I may have f’d myself………..So I am half way through the storming of Aether Paradise and decided to got back to get supplies at a Pokemon center just in case (yeah I know it ruins the mood lol) I flew away to a Pokemon center, but now I have no idea how to get back there……….I tried to fly back, but there’s no fly symbol……I tried to go to a dock but they all say that they’re down for maintenance………am I f’d or is there another way back?

Whelp Lusamine wasn’t nearly as challenging as I thought she’d be. Guzma was much tougher. I’m not sure if you battle her later on like in SM, but Aether Paradise Lusamine went down pretty easily.

ok i keep seeing it online and nobody seems to want to answer when i ask. Where is everyone getting this idea that Nintendo is pressuring GF or TPCi to make a game in 2018?
I know for sure Pokemon is getting a game in the Switch by 2020, but I don’t know about it being forced for 2018.
I truly hope it’s 2019. I don’t want another X and Y situation on our hands, as good as they were for the time they came out (I think most of the hype was due to the fact that they were the first 3DS Pokémon games), going back to them months later only showed how many flaws it had.
I like the technical parts of X and Y but even then, those games needed more time to be worked on.
Pokemon on switch is already avalable to pre order in my country the date ( tba ) is roughly 2018
According to a guy on the Easy Allies podcast, which is a popular gaming group that has feet in the gaming community, some of their sources have said that Nintendo is pushing for GF to make a disruptive kind of game the likes of how Mario Odyssey and Zelda Breath of the Wild are very different from their predecessors. The part about 2018 specifically comes from what appears to be the source of the original Rainbow Rocket leaks. According to a user on Bulbagarden named Lavandula(aka Pokesirena/JynxClub), who was the person who first translated the Chinese leaks from last year, the leaker of RR said that the Chinese team has done extensive translations on the new games. Apparently they are just about done with both the naming of the new Pokemon and translating the script of the game. At this point it’s all just rumors, but said rumors are coming from what appear to be reputable sources. Only time will tell, but I’d imagine if the game comes next year we’ll be hearing about it by the end of February. so not too much time is left.
Plus then there’s that other rumor that had a bit of Nintendo info supposedly due for next year that also said Nintendo was pushing GF to make something different. And that was a separate rumor from the Easy Allies one so things are looking very likely for a Pokemon game next year. We’ll just have to see tho.

I’ve been set on the idea of China for a while but India is also a good idea! Both of those would have really cool architecture and be a departure from what we’ve seen so far. As for starters, I’m still rooting for a fire snake, water buffalo and grass elephant!

I just watched a what-if video on Greece as a Pokémon region, and there was so much lore to bring in to the story. Also the architecture from Greece is beautiful!

Coming up with my own ideas is also fun, even though I know there’s a slim chance they’ll ever come to fruition! The past few generations have had some unique settings, though.
I’m glad they started focusing on different parts of the world, it leads to more creativity and fun ideas! I saw a what-if video about Scandinavia and they had a regional variant for Honedge that was redesigned to look like Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir and it was sooooo cool! I really hope they keep regional variants as a thing, it was such a neat experience getting to see old Pokémon in a different light.
I would be more excited for this if I didn’t live in the middle of freaking nowhere lol I managed to catch a farfetched before it’s distribution ended thankfully. On a random note I am curious of something. What is everyone’s favorite Pokémon when they were kids? And what is your favorite now that you are older? For me pikachu was easily my favorite as a kid thanks to the anime(still have a plush from when I was a kid). Fast forward years later and now it’s the treecko line(my first Pokémon)
Highkey want a UB spinoff game. I absolutely love the idea behind them & the fact they are not ”real” Pokemon gives GF the opportunity to use a totally different set of design standards and still have it justified in-universe.

I really loved Ultra Sun. I thought it was a great sendoff to the 3DS main games. And about the FEH update, I’ve already beaten both Chapters of Book II on all difficulties and maxed out my Fjorm’s level (The latter I did within an hour, but I guess the Double EXP helped)
This talk of legends and signature attacks makes me realize my legends don’t have them, just signature abilities
Gaiasis has Tranquility which cures all status moves for everyone on the field when entering and prevents them from happening
And Toxigeddon has Smog Zone: which when on the field all Pokemon are considered poisoned
And the Elementals
Infernhu
Aquariart
Skyeeto
Eurthsa
Have Primal Fury: which increases the power of same type moves
so Permanent Mist, Permanent Poisoning, and Adaptability.
I might tweak Primal Fury into an attack
But essentially yeah, but a little worse. Especially Smog Zone, that potential means moves like Venom Drench Veno Shock and Facade will get their boosts
And abilities like Guts, Poison Heal and Quick Feet will be active
But the tranquility is basically a free aromatherapy or natural cure
To be clear, you mean moves that inflict status ailments, not Status moves in general, I don’t know why I put mist there.
Yes when Gaiasis is on the field, any Pokemon currently battling will be cured of any status ailment and this prevents status effects from occurring, moves like Toxic, Wisp and TWave will automatically fail
Each of them are pure incarnations of natural elements (with a card suit theme)
Infernhu is a white tiger with red stripes with a ♣️ on its tail, it’s body is superheated and will incinerate anyone with ease
Aquariart is a large fish that has ♥️ shaped fins, it produces clean drinkable water inside its body and can replenish any lake or ocean
Skyeeto is a magnificent eagle with a ♠️ on its head, it’s wings can create winds that can blow down forests with ease
Eurthsa a golden polygonal bear with ♦️ claws, it’s body is composed of a clear see through crystal that cannot be scratched

But the hardest part is stat distribution

I hope they forget about Z-moves, and they can either add more megas or just forget about them as well. What I would really like is old Pokémon getting new evolutions. Or more regional variants!
They’ll replace it with a move where you shake the joycon really fast to do massive damage. It’s probably true.
I hope they get rid of Z-Moves and bring back Mega Evolution. It’s one of the few mechanics that has really grown on me and I hope will be built upon more. I feel like the whole story arc with the Ultra Beasts will be put aside as another threat and maybe we’ll learn more about why Mega Evolution entries in the Pokedex are so morbid. There could be a team that tries to exploit Megas in some way, I don’t know.
I think they’ll at the Very Least Keep Megas and Z Moves as Postgame like they did to Megas in this Gen.

For example, I just caught a level 10 Gyarados when Magikarp evolves at level 20

I feel like they totally neutered Lillie’s character growth with the player on Exeggutor island for no reason. I just got here so idk if anything happens, but it seems useless for things to go the way they did.

I think they really could have made Lusamine more interesting, but they just needed to give a a reason to do what she did. In SM it was clear she was under the control of Nihilego, but in this I’m not sure what exactly drives her. I’m not done yet with the story as I’m on Exeggutor island, but it feels like there’s not much motivation for either Lusamine nor Lillie to do what they’re doing. I’d much rather have them flesh out the URS as characters and their backstory than see Lusamine doing something for ultimately no reason.

It made way more sense when they fleshed out how she was being brainwashed by the UBs in SM. This time it’s just weird. Then once you reach the storming of AP make her do what she did for her kids sake or something. Rather than some weird obligation to save the world that was never really set up earlier and makes no sense. Her craziness was way more explainable in SM…….

This Pokemon has been rarely seen around, however many have claimed to see oddly beige Pichus around.
Licky – Pre-evolutionary form of Lickitung

Its tongue is twice the size of it, and is constantly hidden beneath it, only showing itself whenever it’s rewarded with a sweet treat.

While I do think the movie will be great, the trailer didn’t really hype me up for it all that much…
Although a few key scenes from the trailer I really enjoyed were the ‘Get this man a shield’ line from Black Panther, and those scenes with Iron Man, Doctor Strange and Bruce Banner, looks like they will have great chemistry considering they’re all scientists and all (and also the fact that in the World War Hulk comic, Tony and Strange were responsible for sending Banner away in the first place, it’s a nice touch).
I think Strange might help Hulk turn back to Banner if what he said in Ragnarok holds true.
I thought it was just great seeing everyone together finally. Also Im not ready for vision and scarlet witch. They’re too perfect. I also like that Black panther and Wakanda seem to have a big impact going forward. Though it makes me wonder why it’s there. Is he hiding the last infinity stone?

Hey guys, sorry for being absent lately. I’ve had a lonnngggg weak so far, I’m going through a bit of a rough patch (mainly getting t-boned in an accident. Everyone’s alright for the most part though). I beat US with Shiny Decidueye, Noivern (don’t reccomend. I like the Pokemon but he sucks until endgame), Kabutops (all star player), Ninetales, Vikavolt, and Arcanine. Had a lot of fun, but I understand the complaints. Gonna start on the dex soon, wasted 7 hours in ultra wormholes just to get shiny Heliolisk, the one I already have in gen 6.
And Xenoblade 2 in 2 days! So that’s what’s going on with me, I’m super hyped but at the same time a little dissapointed since I know I won’t be able to play much this weekend. I want to get past the probably slow start.

Marowak was brutal. All of them were, really, but my Dartrix pulled through during that fight. Guess it was the perfect IVs, or maybe the EVs, who knows. Totally fair for an in game team.
I actually almost had the battle if Lopunny would’ve gotten a Critical hit on Return (Foresight guys is not a bad move it almost saved me)
Sadly Morelull got squashed before I could land Flash then switch, Brick Break took down Rockruff, Seel was beaten by brick break and poison damage and Torracat was hit by Venoshock
My team also was weakened by the first enemies
Honestly, I’d like it if a second final evolution for the Dratini line was added, one that actually resembled Dratini and Dragonair, because I don’t like Dragonite that much because of how random and out of nowhere he comes from when evolving Dragonair. Here’s what I’d like the new final eve to be:

I want to play UM and flush out a Grimer
Well damn Totem Kommo-o is a real main in the ass. Now I’ve gotta do some team training so that all my Pokemon are over leveled. Otherwise I’ll never be able to beat it. this is unexpected.That said my Dragon killer really has it’s hands or I should say claws full with Kommo-o. Alolan Sandslash is cool, but Kommo-o really does have a good secondary typing to ward off Ice types. Plus with Sandslash’s Steel type it makes it hard to get a move in edge wise (not a pun so don’t even) without it getting killed by Kommo-o. My Krookodile has Dragon Claw, but since it’s part Dark it’s also in danger Fighting type is really my teams one major weakness. The only thing that can stand up to fighting is my Decidueye, but that’s not much help when Kommo-o’s goons are there to keep it in check. Time for some team building and then we’ll tackle this challenge together!!!!

It’s the same. I mean I think the plot isn’t nearly as interesting because instead of just condensing the character building cutscenes they removed alot of them so it’s just not as strong.
But yeah like. It’s fine.
It’s an enjoyable game for sure. Yes much of it is similar/the same as SM, but overall the content is improved. The story is a little weird when it comes to stuff that carries over from SM, but the new stuff is great. Anyone that says new content in general is bad is out there. Even if you don’t like the photo club it’s still new content and that’s always an improvement.

How in the world has the anime progressed so far in the general SM story without Ash having gone to Ula’ula? This season has been pretty good, but it lacks so much direction and they’ve been jumping around. It;s like they know they have limited time to do stuff so instead of keeping ti all in one cohesive story they decided to just jump around and see what works. All the while keeping Ash tethered to the school. Maybe the fact that he’s stuck going back and forth to the school is actually a good thing tho as if he was just running around Alola without much direction things would get messy real quick
Because they’ll have all the Necrozma and URS stuff to do too I guess.
But that stuff is all stuff they can do relatively quickly as well. They’ve never had a problem getting the 3rd version content into the anime before without it being a mess so idk why now of all times. Maybe gen 8 really is coming out next year and they basically just said f&ck it and decided the anime can just be a weird and wild ride haha

Guys I just had a great idea for the next movie
“Pokemon the movie: Zeraora the UB Hunter”
Like maybe Zeraora’s home was ravaged by UB’s (most likely Guzzlord or Buzzwole) and its now on a mission to destroy them, but needs the help of Ash as it gets word that Ash knows Solgaleo (and possibly Lunala) so it first hunts down Ash to get in. After some filler it gets into Ultra Space, but maybe they wind up in the wrong one (maybe Xuriktree could stay movie bound) and after defeating it they then go through again more filler and wind in the right place and they defeat it, but before Zeraora delievers the fatal blow, Ash stops him and they spare its life and go home (or you add a better ending)
As Zeraora does look like a Bounty Hunter like Pokémon so it fits.
Also I believe the movie would have Xuriktree and Guzzlord only as I believe the anime will add Necrozma, Assembly, Burst, Adhesive (I guarentee this one), Aborption, Kartana Celesteelia and Beauty.
So think it’s plausible for a movie?
It could happen, though I imagine the main villain would need to be big. This is where I think Necrozma would be better saved for the movie but then the series is left without and forms would be rushed.
I could see Necrozma be held for a movie as well. Then they could have Nebby return (assuming it goes away after turning into Solgaleo) too fight it similar to how Squishy turned into it’s 100% form in the Volcanion movie.,

OK! Totem Kommo-o is done and now I’m heading to the Altar. Kommo-o was MUCH harder than I expected it to be. even with all my Pokemon lvls 54/55 it still took out both my Decidueye and Krookodile. It nearly took out my Midnight Lycanroc, but it pulled through to take out the Scizor It summoned. Ended up not even using my Snadslash on it. Used Decidueye to land the hardest blow with it’s newly learned Brave Bird and then had Krookodile Dragon Claw it to death. Snadslash would have been the back up if those two couldn’t finish the job. All in all this game is proving to be much more of a challenge than past games have been and that’s actually a nice change of pace.

I am planning to catch a water type as soon as possible just not sure who yet. May pick up a grass type later though although fairy types like romombee can learn grsss moves so it may not be needed.
Some time in the road you should get a Poison or Steel type as the last trial is Fairy.
Coil and the black sludge make a good combo for ekans it really helped me out of more than one bind as for team recommendations I can’t really think of any right now.

I still am hoping they make a “Mario: Odyssey” type game in time on the Switch for Kirby. Something that breaks the formula a bit more and makes it more open to exploration and roaming. I think that would work very well with Kirby
They have been starting that for years I assume (adding the star jumping between the Foreground and background) I believe it would work super well, but hopefully they keep the art style more like Odessy then BotW (you know cause Kirby in a more real life style might get creepy) and we get a chance to fly the warp star

Seeing as the SuMo anime is in the middle of the SuMo game Climax, I think that Gen 8 is defo next year tbh. They haven’t even reached Ula’ula yet.

As soon as male Hyecub evolve they are thrown out by all the females. They have to travel alone and hunt to stay alive. They are very difficult to befriend. The only time they’re around females is during mating.
Males and Females have also diffrent movepools and stats. Females have higher speed and HP and males have higher Defences. Females have the ability Group Attacker which boosts their attack in Double battles and Males have the ability Lone Hunter which boosts their attack in single battles and lowers it in double battles.
But why does the females one not lower during single battles?

His backstory starts like this:
He once was a small little hamster on earth that lived out its days thinking there must be more life than just sitting in cage (note he’s normal now), but one stormy night a portal opened up and sucked him right out of his cage and sent him to [insert name of planet I haven’t named yet], but he woke up… Different, he grew (He’s about 2ft. 8in.), became Bipedial and can talk now
He’s welcomed by a group of friendly new neighbors till soon after the whole adventure begins.
*Note this is the beginning of the first game idea I had, he also gains wings and can glide a few games later and gains a Sword

HOLY CRAP the Necrozma battles were intense!!!! The first one it went down like a chump, but that second battle versus Ultra Necrozma was no joke. My heart was racing!!! I started out with Decidueye as he made short work of Dawn Wings earlier, but in one hit he was out……I then sent in my Krookodile who knows Dragon Claw and Foul Play. Once again taken out in one hit! Then came out Sandslash. Without Sandslash being able to take a few hits idk what I’d have done. Sandslash manged to get a hit on Necrozma, but it wasn’t nearly enough. I then used a revive on Decidueye in the hopes I could get a Sinister Arrow Raid off. Sandslash would then go down. I then switched into Decidueye again and successfully got It’s signature Z move off. Problem was that it didn’t kill Necrozma……Necrozma then hit Decidueye, but it held on to one HP!!!!! I was stunned!! My friend had held on for another turn. I decided to go for broke and use Spirit Shackle. Necrozma went first…..Just when I though it was over Decidueye held on once again to that single HP!!!!!!! He was able to fire one final arrow at Necrozma and the win was ours!!!!! Man that was an amazing battle. If Decidueye hadn’t put in some serious work I think I’d have had a much harder struggle! I’m not sure the rest of my team would have put up much of a fight against it. He’s my main man for a reason hahahaha
The trials in USUM have provided a nice challenge for me. I just finished the Electric trial, and the totem there really got me (especially considering I don’t have a ground type). I think the battle lasted a solid 20 mins of strategic plays.

Well now with my Open world idea *The game takes place as probably the 9th game in the series behind quite a few others*
Something happens where Hamsterboy gets sucked back through a portal just like the one that brought him to his home, but he notices something wrong, being the fact that there are dozens of portals sending other creatures from his world coming out and he steps up to send them back to where ever they came.
I also have made a few bosses thus far for it
-Bloomy (The typical first big Boss who appears in almost every game) he’s basically a giant evil flower bud with thorny vines, his world is a terrarium
-A sewer world with an evil Rat boss
-A Magician boss who has a theater for his world
-Solon (is a big Boss in the first game and appears in several others) he is a creature that looks like the sun and Weilder a sun and a moon staff, but here he is made of metal and has mini boss henchmen that resemble the planets plus an asteroid to take earth’s place. His world is a planetarium and maybe a school on top of that

Lol Magikarp is far from irrelevant. It’s one of the most well known pokemon ever.
To be fair it’s not Ohmori’s job to know the types of ALL the Pokemon that were ever created. We as fans know because we’re fanatical about the series and more often than not fans will know trivia on certain topics that the developers wouldn’t. Obviously Magikarp is a bit of a dumb thing to forget it’s typing, but hey he’s only human. Making Pokemon games is his job not his entire life. He can have a brain fart if he needs it.
Of all of them Magikarp should be one of the few that shouldn’t be hard at all… it’s a fish

Whelp I hate Ultra Warp Ride’s controls…… I tried once with the motion controls and that was excruciating. Then I decided to save before jumping in and see if you can fly back to Heahea to change it’s controls. You can and it made it better. Now maybe I just need to practice to get better. Even with the circle pad it wasn’t great. If it had a full stick it might have been better, but oh well.
I think it’d be good with Touch Screen controls.

His origin is, he was originally just a typical flower that lived in the first world of the first Hamsterboy game, but the evil antagonist to stop Hamsterboy panicked and poisoned (the antagonist has radioactive powers that poisons things) the poor flower turning him into a giant flower bud with an evil face

Sounds menacing. Make sure it’s not too similar to other plant bosses/ evil plants like the one from Little Shop of Horrors that springs to mind.

Kinda unrelated, but I don’t know what to think about the Live Action Mulan Remake (tho it’s much more a Reboot). On one hand, it has a good female director and an Asian cast and crew, with the Mulan actress being a chinese star (plus one ytber/actor I really like is almost for sure getting the main male role)… BUT the movie won’t have any songs and the Bisexual Li Shang is replaced with some new straight guy. Any of you have any opinions about all this?

I was able to sign up for classes today, AND I got a 100% on my mock job interview! I guess my anxiety was warranted because one of the classes is now on waitlist. Last night I had a vivid dream that my family moved to the Wyoming countryside for some reason, and I can remember myself being confused and asking questions like “what about school?” And stuff, it was trippy. Now I realize that dream was meant to help my mind cope with the stress of today! Sorry for the tangent, I just thought that was super fascinating.
To get back on topic, I heard about this whole January Direct rumor which is really exciting! My classes start on January 20 so I’ll hopefully be able to enjoy it fully. Also, I’ll definitely find time to finish Ultra Moon this weekend…I haven’t even been to Ultra Megalopolis yet!
Question: When the time comes is there anyone that’d be willing to part with a Blacephalon for something that’s not a hard sell? I’m just trying to figure out what I want to do. I really want to shiny hunt for Stakataka, but if I do that then I’ll still need to trade the second one to get Blacephalon. If at all possible I’d like to keep a normal Stakataka as well as the shiny, but I’m not sure that’ll be possible. I’m not sure what I’ll have to offer that’s not Stakataka, but I’m not even there yet so it doesn’t matter at this point
