Following on the heels of today’s earlier trailer released on television in Japan, more information has been revealed in a new English trailer.
Details
- Player will be able to traverse an Ultra Wormhole on the back of Solgaleo or Lunala in a mini-game of sorts
- You’ll be able to battle Ultra Beasts at their home dimension/space by traveling through the Ultra Space
- Ultra Megalopolis (pictured right), can be reached by traveling through the Ultra Space and has had all of its light stolen by Necrozma
- New characters are part of the Ultra Recon Squad and have had their names revealed as Dulse, Zossie, Phyco and Soliera – the latter two will have major roles in Ultra Moon, while the former two are more prominent in Ultra Sun
- Player is seen battling members of the Squad
- A new Ultra Beast, UB: Adhesive (Poison Pin Pokémon), has been discovered. It’s a Poison-type with the ability Beast Boost
- UB: Burst (Fireworks Pokémon) is Fire/Ghost-type and knows a new move “Mind Blown” which causes it to lose half its maximum HP
- UB: Assembly (Rampart Pokémon) is Rock/Steel-type
Does this confirm there is no Aether Foundation? These Ultra Recon guys were standing in their place in what appeared to e the opening cutscene.
Hmmm, but there’s still the scene with a UB coming out in front of Lusamine, you and Hau. So I imagine they still exist. Prolly just not the way we expect.
Who’s to say Lusamine is with Aether? We actually havent seen any of their grunts in a trailer so far, maybe Aether doesnt exist in this universe?

One thing I hope the Ultra Wormhole mini game isn’t is a pain in the butt to use every time I want to go in and out of Ultra Space. I fear it may end up being like the gummy ship segments in early Kingdom Hearts games where it was a drawn out mini game that was just frustrating to get through
Might become skipable after the first time you visit a zone.

Ultra Sun Moon is so messy. Overall the 6th and 7th generations are too messy. Messy is what comes to my mind when I think about Pokemon nowadays. Sad.
How is it messy? The gameplay is still linear its just the options have expanded (there’s more to do- just like in real life) Would you call Breath of the Wild messy?

Ah I see where you’re coming from – But inevitably its still exploration in the eyes of Gamefreak. My initial dispute was the fact that the user called USUM as messy. If you aren’t exploring at your own pace then its linear, and judging by your quote I assume you also dont think its messy

Plot twist: In post game we’ll take an ultra wormhole to ORAS Hoenn where they finally finished the Battle Frontier. That’s why the battle frontier’s not on the map.
Headcannon: Everytime a Ultra Recon member goes away, they scream nyoom at the top of their lungs. The kid one screams it normally and phyco, aka mustachio, screams nyoom in a furious voice

I have to say I absolutely love the new UB! Hope it has an evo! And I finally beat red in Pokémon gold! Took some training of two of my members but I did it! Here’s a picture of my final team and their move sets! Originally had crobat in place of tyranitar but dropped it when I accidentally sold my toxic tm :/ I must say though tyranitar was very useful in taking out snorlax. Overall I really enjoyed this playthrough and using girafarig for the first time 🙂 may play through silver really soon!

I will be fine either way. Personally I feel like it has an evo coming though. Poison/psychic type would make sense from its description which would be a first. Guess we will have to wait and see what happens!
I literally was just about to write that i feel like Adhesive is going to be the first UB (besides Cosmog) to have an evo. And if thats the case, shes definitely going on my team
