Nintendo Says No Livestreaming for Creators

Participants in Nintendo’s Creator Program will no longer be able to livestream gaming sessions on YouTube. Channels currently signed up to Nintendo’s revenue sharing program are entirely prohibited from livestreaming under the new rules, unless they choose to de-register the channel and register their videos individually. Separate channels by the same content producer are allowed however.

Hopefully this will not impact any Pokémon channels; Pokémon content is not managed by Nintendo under their program, but channels may be part of Nintendo’s program.

Definitely a step back for fans and creators alike! Thanks for the heads up My Nintendo News!

  1. Now it is time to move onto Clair! I hope my team is ready for one of the most difficult gym leaders in the game.

  3. The only problem with SRing for Snorlax is that you have to keep turning back on the flute music to get it to wake up. You can preset the station, but you gotta go into the app every time you reset……

  4. Relating to the article, Why would they ever shut this down. It doesnt even seem beneficial to them to do that. Nintendo continues to make question decisions

    • Prolly sold out by now. I went around to 3 stores earlier today and didn’t find any. Sounds like it’s a better situation than the nes was, but it’s still hard to find. People that preordered or went out early were able to get there’s more or less without much issues, but now there’s not many out there.

    • There were like 100 consoles lying around in our local Media Markt, just picked one up without preorder. There was nobody there to fight over the console.
