Pokémon GO Announces Equinox Event

To celebrate the coming of Autumn, Pokémon GO has announced a 2017 Equinox event beginning this Friday on iOS and Android.

From 1:00 P.M. PDT on September 22 to 1:00 P.M. PDT on October 2, 2017, you’ll have the opportunity to earn double Stardust for catching Pokémon and hatching Eggs as you walk around your neighborhood discovering new sights. While you’re out exploring, be sure to visit your local PokéStops and Gyms to collect special 2 km Eggs that have the opportunity to hatch Pokémon such as Chansey, Mareep, Larvitar, and more. You’ll also be able to get special boxes from the in-game shop that feature items like Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules, and all-new Super Incubators which hatch Eggs 1.5 times quicker!

I sure hope I can find a Larvitar egg or two 🙂

  1. somebody run this through
    Keldeo vs Tangrowth
Scarfed Keldeo using Icy Wind on a Tangrowth at 100% health down to 88% because of Stealth Rocks
    would Tangrowth survive?

  2. Oh boi now it’s time for the best part of the rally
The part where I finish and mom questions me nonstop about why I can’t make friends and be social
    Yay

  3. To describe my pep rally in parts

The band: they provide music and kinda exist
The cheerleaders: they’re in for like two seconds or so at the start
Sports teams: every single member gets spotlighted and people cheer based on who they like. Popularity is super easy to see here
Kickline: girl students wearing rather sexual dresses dancing to sexual music and performing sexual dances.

Picture kickline as cheerleaders but a million times more sexual

  4. I saw some talk about education systems. How does it work in your country/state? I really find it interesting how weird the system is in for ex America

      • I mean, i know you have like, 5 diffrent schools for diffrent grade groups (middle high so on). In Poland from now It’s
Primary for 7 to 14 year olds and high for 15 to 18 year olds and university after that. Why all the unneccesary dividing?

      • Actually. I want too know why?
I have a friend who moved to Chicago last yeat and he says it’s the easiest thing ever. He says o level and cie are wayy harder and that he easily gets high honour roll there while he struggled to get decent grades here

        • That’s not a good thing actually. You want to learn some skills for your level of intelligence, not ease through something to receive a worthless diploma.

At high school, classes are 32 hours a week (4×7,1×4 hours) and you gradually adopt a more specialised programme, like Latin/Math/Science/Economics/… or you can learn an actual profession (mechanic, hairdresser,…). Once you graduate, you can take whatever you like at uni/college, even though not all majors are advised for your high school programme.
We seperate our universities from our colleges, where college is a three year program that gives access to a professional bachelor, usually something like nursing, applied information technology, applied biotechnology. Basically this stuff is all modererately high level that prepares you for one specific (group of) profession(s). Then we have actual university which are 5 year programmes where you have to get your Master’s, as otherwise you didn’t ‘finish’ your degree. This is stuff like psychology, engineering, law, economics,…

Education here is pretty good and very high leveled compared to some other systems. The stuff we get for algebra and calculus at age 16 is not taught in American high schools and is mainly given at introductory courses in US college.

    • School is from 6-12 iirc, and high school is 4 years long where you can choose more advanced subjects (like Latin, Economy, French or ICT) after high school you can choose whether doing a two year long Bachelor degree [basically high school but more advanced, it only serves to prepare people for Uni (you need bachelor’s to go to an university)] or something else that i’ve forgotten the name where they teach you a specific profession (like mechanic n’stuff), and after that you can either work on the profession you learned or go to the University.

      I’ve probably missed something..

-Elementary school is K-6 and starts at 9:00 and ends at 4:00
-Middle school is grades 7-9 and goes from 8:00 to 3:00
-Highschool is grades 10-12 and starts at 7:00 ends at 2:00

    • 1-5 elementary school
      6-8 middle
      9-11 O levels
      Two years of A levels.
      Then uni stuff

Most o levels is pretty strict, 8 am to 2pm Timings, Uniform, few breaks.
A level works more like the typical sytem western countries are used to

    • The Netherlands

      1 and 2 – Kindergarten
      3 to 8 – Elementary school

1 to 4, 5 or 6 – Middle school, depending on level (6 being the highest education level)

Then there’s 4 years of community college, 4 years of higher education or 5 (or more) years of uni

  5. I’m so tempted to get GS on VC this week, but I know I won’t play it………..I need to beat HG so I can feel like I’ve done something constructive. Only problem is all of my Pokemon are lvl 40 and the league is higher……

  7. Ugh….I wish I had a lucky egg in this HG. It’d come in handy right now when I have to grind SOOOOOO much. Oh well hopefully I can get the part of the safari zone with Chansey to be unlocked soon.
