Nintendo Gives Slim Hope of More New Ultra Beasts [UPD]

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have become the first follow-up titles in the Pokémon series to introduce entirely new creatures mid-generation with the reveal of two Ultra Beasts during the recent Nintendo Direct. The official Nintendo coverage of the event hints that those might not be the only new Pokémon we’ll be getting though.

The above translates to “Look forward to hearing about new Ultra Beasts soon!” and could mean that we’ll be getting other new Ultra Beasts this November.

I’ll add a cautionary note that a very conservative translation would pin the new ultra beasts as referring to only Assembly and Burst, but let’s let our minds run wild for a bit. I did consider removing this article due to the big potential of there being no new reveals, but ultimately I think for the health of the fandom it may be nice to have something to possibly look forward to. Just don’t hope too hard.

  1. Does anyone else feel that we may still get DP remakes on the 3DS next year? As the DS still seems to have some life left in it still and I could see game freak wanting to make RBY the first remakes on the switch , after a Gen 8 of course.

  10. Hey all, long time no see! I don’t know why, but I feel that UB Burst will be Fire-type, or part Fire. Maybe either Fire/Ice or Fire/Electirc, only because F/E are the two most energetic types I know, or the alternating colors on its head may allude to a duality of sorts (pink and blue).
