“The Pokémon Mystery Files” Teased in Strange New Video

Pokémon fans across the world are puzzling over a new video featured on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel. Today’s post is not hype, but more of an explanation since a lot of fans seem to be curious on Twitter and social media. Many people have had their interest piqued by the inclusion of Dialga and the Distortion World since interest in a remake of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl is high.

The teaser is actually for a project from the Pokémon Daisuki Club (Pokémon Lover’s Club) called “The Pokémon Mystery Files”. It features many mysterious Pokémon and events from past games with the tagline ‘The World of Pokémon You Don’t Know’ and mimics the style of shows such as The X-Files or The Twilight Zone. It is listed as a special report, so it will most likely be a simple retrospective of some of the more interesting and supernatural phenomena of the Pokémon World for younger fans.

An official site has been set-up and features some art, including that of Ultra Beasts from Pokémon Sun & Moon. It could eventually even tie-in with mysteries from Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, but we’ll learn more when the project fully launches on July 19.

Sorry if this trailer got anyone’s hopes up, but I felt like I should shine a little light so no one gets too excited!

  20. Although I was expecting it, I’m still disappointed at the lack of USUM news. I think we’ll prob need to wait till late July or earlier August for news.

    Anyway, in the meantime for waiting for USUM news, I plan on finishing the post-games for HG and Black, which I’m about halfway through each of them. Currrently in HG, I’m finishing up catching the legends, while in Black I’m leveling up my mons to be at the levels of the other trainers while finishing my trek around the eastern side of Unova. If I get these post-games done early, then I might start up a Black 2 run with Snivy (may or may not be a Nuzlocke).

If this happens then this means that your internet provider could slow down or block certain sites and force you to pay them more money. Basically it fucks over the internet. I felt this is kinda important because ya know… Pokejungle is on the internet. And so is pokemon show down. And serebii. And Splatoon 2, ARMS, Smash, Mario Kart, and of course, Pokemon. Its really important

          • You have a very big misunderstanding here. This isn’t censoring hate speech or terrorism, this is allowing companies to destroy competition and business. Consider the fact that without Net Neutrality, a provider like Verizon could slow Netflix and Youtube to speeds that make them unusable to promote their own streaming service.

            Think about how disastrous that is. All of a sudden, thousands of youtubers and youtube employees lose their jobs, users are forced to pay more money to access the same content, and any competitors that try to open up are doomed as soon as a provider spots them.

            The entire internet would be destroyed from this. It would become a game of who can pay for what they want and it destroys freedom. Supporting this is an act against free information. That is the real censorship.

            The internet is not good, we need to spend less time on the phone/laptop and at least 30hrs a week in Church to be good.

            FCC doesn’t censor anything. They are a regulating body that has been infiltrated in the past half year with neolibertanian Reps (thanks Trump) that want to give the power to AT&T and Comcast to regulate the internet.

            When’s the last time you had a great experience and service with either of those two companies? Think about that!

    USUM will include:
    7 badges and 5 Gyms

    Kiawi, Lana, and Mallow battle you in a triple battle gym match. You earn 3 badges for the battle.

    Lillie becomes a gym leader, but you cannot battle her. She is supposed to have the 8th badge, but gives you the badge if you compliment her new style. (She hints you will have to wait a bit longer to battle her in a future title)

    Bugsy and Falkner make returns as the E4 members. E4 Members use 3 pokemon, but do not be discourage they are very difficult possessing pokemon with levels over 40!!

    Some of your favorites earn mega evolutions including Vanilluxe (Ice/Grass), Escavalier (Normal/Bug), Wormadam (Bug/Normal), Spinda (Normal), Throh (Fighting/Fire), Sawk (Fighting/Water), Basculine -red (water), Basculine-blue (water) and Lumineon (Water/Bug).

    New Move Tutor Moves for Starters!
    Primarina – Soothing Lullaby – 60% accuracy, puts opponent to sleep even if they are burning, and heals opponent’s burns. Improvement to accuracy over Sing! Amazing!

    Decidueye – Shooting Star (flying) – 1KO fairy types.

    Incineroar – Choke Slam – Two turn move. Opponent cannot move, causes burn on first turn, and then inflicts 180 damage. Priority +4.

    You do not choose your starter, but rather it chooses you based on your 3DS history. It does this by randomly selecting a game you have played from stored data and selects a pokemon based on that genre. Example: If you play shooting games you recieve Decidueye; if you play fighter games you get Incineroar; if you play My little Kitty Racing you get Primarina.

    There are no evil teams. Instead you struggle with personal issues like sexual identity and gender, the hardships of being a teen, and finding religion. You are able to date any character (except for Lillie), customize your characters body by what you eat/exercise, and start a new religious group based on a legendary pokemon idol.

    No new pokemon, just a few new mega evolutions.
