New Pokémon 3DS Themes Come to Japan

Two new themes have arrived in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS. One is based on the “Look to the Stars” merchandise line (P-P-Pokémon Stars…*sob*) and the other based on the Pokémon Pop line which was the inspiration for our previous logo.

What do you think? They’re almost sure to come to the west so will you be buying either?

  1. Yo Everyone.
I am thinking of doing a Nuzlocke on my Sun version. This would be my first nuzlocke so I am wondering if anyone has any tips. I would be very happy if some of the more experienced members can give me some advice.

    • Stock up on Potions, there’s no such thing as ‘enough health’

Also this is your first time, so stick to the three(?) basic rules!

      1) First Pokémon in each area is the only thing you can catch there (may want to use dupes clause to prevent like 60 Gumshoos tho)

      2) Nickname all Pokémon (doesn’t have to to be themed tho)

      3) Pokémon faints, it dies.

You probs know all this anyway but I’ll assure you it’ll be fun 😀

1.) If you get to Yellow health go back to the Pokemon Center because it will save you a lot of Pokemon, but waste many minutes.
2.) Use the Exp.Share it will save you in level problems.
3.) Stock up potions cause in the middle of a battle switching can be a death sentence if your not careful (especially if the opponent knows pursuit).

Not an veteran at it, but these tips are helpful for beginners. GL 🙂

    • 1. Stock up on Full Heals. Status conditions are killers
      2. Dont hesitate to use EXP share when you feel your pokemon are starting to be underleveled
      3. Dont not play with rng!
      4. Crits WILL happpen when you dont want them. Just accept it
      5. Try to finish battles ASAP. This might be a me thing, but I kinda like trying to use a lot of my pokemon in a important battle just cause.

        • Random number generator. Basically determines everything. Like if you hit yourself. The wild encounter EVERYTHING.
I said dont play with it because If you have to do one more hit to kill the opponent, but you are confused and one more hit to yourself will kill you, or one miss you die, oe just any sort of hax then dont risk it. Always go for certainty.

  2. Make up an E4 with their teams as well as your team as a champion. You can use original characters or pokemon characters. Make sure to include their signature pokemon. They can use either a Z-Move or Mega

  3. I might as well explain now

To says the least, I got into an arguement with mom over a promise I broke (I fully admit it was my own fault) and lost my computer for it…. yeaaaaaah…. and yesterday I finally tried to work my school chrome book but had it taken away too after losing a bag i used to carry stuff in
Also my phone works like literal shit when trying to use disquis so my actual time here will likely suffer due to that
On top of all that I’ve had a fair bit of…. enlightening to things happen. I’ve begun to give more thoughts into some of my more personal problems and I’ve begun to come up with solutions. TBH, in still attempting to recover from some of the shit that happened this year while preparing for the future… it’s honestly been a typhoon of shit and stress beating down on me that could have been partly avoided had I treaded more carefully….
anyways, I feel terrible about leaving so suddenly and I’m gonna do my best to come on more… I missed y’all too by the way and I’m sorry in advance if I’m not on as much for a little bit. I love every last one of you, even you Earthen.

  5. Okay let’s test how well my phone handles posting fakemons by posting a Mega I made

    Pokedex Number: 142
    Mega Toucannon
    Classification: Cannon Pokemon
    Height: 3’07
    Weight: 57.3 Lbs
    Type: Flying/Grass
    Ability: Thermal Touch
    Stats:
    HP: 80
    Attack: 160
    Defense: 75
    Special Attack: 75
    Special Defense: 75
    Speed: 120
    Base Stat Total: 585
Pokedex Entry: Upon Mega Evolving, Toucannon gains the ability to make plants grow at an alarming rate. While the exact cause for its abilities is unknown, it is said that the heat from its beak plays some sort of role in this ability. The seeds it spits from its beak have the force of a tank shot and the impact of them can be heard for miles.

    Some changes to it
-the bottoms of its wings contain colored patterns, its beak has a few berry like object she poking out of it, it’s tail is much more graceful and flows behind it similar to Articuno’s

  6. When I see a shitmon I like to make it a little better with a mega. This mon was a little more than shit, it was flat out shiitake

    Pokedex Number: 137
    Lumesmi (Luminous-Mesmerize)
    Classification: The Illuminating Pokemon
    Height: 4’02
    Weight: 41.3 Lbs
    Type: Grass/Fairy
Ability: Illuminate/Effect Spore (Hidden Ability: Illusion)
    Stats:
    HP: 90
    Attack: 45
    Defense: 110
    Special Attack: 115
    Special Defense: 120
    Speed: 30
    Base Stat Total: 510
Pokedex Entry: A momentary glance at a Lumesmi may lock a person into a trance for several hours, making them lose their way. There are many cases of people going insane due to the hallucinations and trances created by this Pokemon. Consequently, it is recommended for both Pokemon and people to stay clear of Lumesmi as both can be easily put into a trance. Lemuse is one of few Pokemon entirely unaffected by these trances.

Additional notes: The design is supposed to take the innocent yet very unsettling design of Shiinotic and amplify it. That said, it becomes a lot lankier and tends to have a looming posture. It basically has the expression of Sun and Moon trainer when they confront Lusamine ;3 (aka the face they have at all times)
Also it’s coloring becomes a lot more vibrant.

  7. I have one more fanmon I plan on posting after this one but here it is

    Pokedex Number: 120
    Malevenus
    Classification: The Toxic Trap Pokemon
    Height: 5’11
    Weight: 164.3 Lbs
    Type: Grass/Poison
    Ability:
    Stats:
    HP: 100
    Attack: 132
    Defense: 92
    Special Attack: 90
    Special Defense: 92
    Speed: 19
    Base Stat Total: 525
Pokedex Entry: The toxins in a Malevenus lair are so potent a fully grown adult will perish after mere seconds of exposure to its lair. These poisons have a sweet scent that attracts prey to its location. Despite this advantage, Malevenus are almost nonexistent in the wild due to the Bakuma attracted to its scent. Bakuma go to it believing that the smell is from food and go on rampages when the food is nowhere to be found. This commonly kills the Malevenus.

    Evolves: Level 45

    Additional thoughts:
I always saw Carnivine in the same vein as Croagunk, kinda like a jokemon. This evolution is to take that image and literally shred it to pieces. When it evolves it wilts, its colors darken, it’s eyes get a dead look and it’s vines become a lot more spiky. This Pokémon is meant to be something that you look at once and attempt to avoid at every cost, it’s meant to be purely terrifying.
Fun fact, this was the third fanmon I ever made and it’s gone under at least five revisions. It was originally called Trapnivine and it was one of about five mons to actually make it over from my original Pokedex.

  8. And to end of today’s fanmon spam with a commonly requested Evo

    Pokedex Number: 150
    Komalumber
    Classification: The Sleeping Beast Pokemon
    Height: 2’08
    Weight: 87.8 Lbs
    Type: Normal/Psychic
    Ability: Comatose
    Stats:
    HP: 95
    Attack: 135
    Defense: 95
    Special Attack: 75
    Special Defense: 95
    Speed: 50
    Base Stat Total: 545
Pokedex Entry: Although it is asleep at all times, Komalumber is aware of its surroundings through the dreams it has. It is incredibly strong and demonstrates this by swinging around a log several times heavier than itself at enemies. To scare away potential predators, it will pick up its log and slam it to the ground creating a shockwave. This strategy works so well that it rarely needs to actually battle.

    Evolves: Level 39

I purposely made these measurements to be double a Komala’s height. Statwise this is meant to take both of Komala’s roles and do them even better. Additionally the weight does not take the log into account. That weighs a lot more. Finally it also has some of that dream mist stuff Musharna has swirling around it. I’m seriously considering bringing Musharna into the dex at this point….

And before you comment Earthen, I have zero idea how we both ended up with this name

  9. And FINALLY
    My nuclocke… the seraphlocke…
You may ask…. WHAT THE FUCK IS A SERAPHLOCKE?!
    Well I’m gonna tell ya

(To be read in the pacer test voice)
The seraphlocke is a typical Nuzlocke but with three large changes.
    1. Only one use of a Pokémon Center per town
    2. There is level caps for certain events. You may have an Ace Pokémon of your choice who is two levels above the cap. Your starter is the first one of these
    3. After receiving your starter and after each trial or Kahuna, an event will occur… one of ten different options will be chosen by RNG
Optional rule: RNG decides your starter

    Good
Healing Wish: The ability to reuse a Pokémon center has opened up!

Parental Bond- Get another Pokémon from an already visited route.

    Trick- Reroll an encounter

Soothe Bell- Pokémon refresh can be used on one Pokémon.

    Neutral:

Metronome- A Pokémon besides your highest or lowest level on the team gets wondertraded

Celebration- Congrats! You did it! You’re awarded with the unchanging monotony of life. You get nothing, fuck you.

    Bad

Synchronoise-the entire type must be a type around your ace

Covet-you must use all your money on the next shop

Mirror Move- duplicate/species clause no longer applies for the island

Intimidate- the level cap is lowered by two

And I’m randomizimg which starter I’m pickin
    And playing sun…
Knowing my luck I’ll get Litten

  10. I’m in the process of making a single, pure-typed legendary not tied to any group or anything (like Heatran), but I thought of something fun. You guys can suggest a type for it and I’ll think of something I can do to make this legend.

    Reply
  11. Quick question. Please tell me if what I am saying is correct.
For a nuzlocke, my team of 6 will be composed of my starter + the first 5 Pokemon on the first 5 regions (routes) that I go to. Any Pokémon after that will be sent to my Pc for backup and can’t be added to my team unless one of my Pokémon faints.

  12. Can I just point out that the name of the next dubbed Sun and Moon episode is called “They Might Not Be Giants”? Please tell me I’m not the only one here who gets the reference. (I still don’t like these titles, though.)
