Damn, i really cant pass up titles like Anthem and Crackdown 3 man. Will be forced to buy myself an Xbox One X, will be my first Xbox in like 10 years
I can see myself getting a 4K HDR monitor and an Xbox One X in 2019 as an end-of-community-college gift to myself. I’m actually excited to upgrade to 4K now after seeing Metro Exodus, Ori: Will of the Wisps, and Anthem.
Those games will come to PS4/PC though.

I feel like Sony’s in a very easy position right now. They’re already winning, and their previous console is $100 cheaper WITHOUT the likely price cut. If they drop it to $299 this holiday, it will be so much cheaper than the Xbox One X that it will seem ridiculous. I also believe that there’s a chance they will announce a PS4 Pro Slim, considering how the Pro is so much bigger than the Slim (while the reverse is true for Xbox One X).
They already have a PS4 Slim at $299. The Pro won’t get a $100 price cut, maybe some deal for $349.

The fan has to be pretty loud though, that package is going to become very hot. That liquid vapor bullshit from the conference won’t cut it as it still needs to get rid of the internal heat. I’m guessing it will be a small vacuum cleaner in noise levels :P.

Ehm I think they released a software update which allows you to run 4K on regular PS4 as well, but you wont have HDR or 60 fps.
Edit: You need a 4K monitor to play games at true 4K yes

Medium quality though.
It means bigger contrast for the colours on the screen. It’s essentially the display being able to show more contrasting colours at the same time. Most of the time it makes everything look very saturated and unrealistic though.
Well that sounds kind of bad then.
It doesn’t have to be, but when you go to the store they also crank up the saturation a lot. This makes people say ‘whoah nice colours’, but actually the colours don’t represent the actual colours that were filmed in real life. So in a way it’s mostly abused as a new of selling tvs.
4K and HDR is bullshit though. I rather have that they improve aliasing and other techniques. It’s a marketing tactic at getting people to buy new tvs, which don’t add anything.
Yep i personally dont really care about 4K on a console. Just buy a decent gaming PC if you want that same experience

Not at all. I still have a 500 GB original PS4 too and only used around 200GB

Yeah most of the data usage goes to patch downloads. I make video clips of gameplay sometimes but thats like 500MB max
All games are mandatory installs in the background though, so it doesn’t matter much if you buy physical or digital.

No, the PS will automatically install data onto the hard drive because disc reading speeds are very slow, but you still need the disc to play.
Was just playing MK8D and managed to get in a lobby with Mankalor (YouTuber who’s really good at 200cc) again. Last time I got to play him, I went 10-3 against him. Not so fortunate this time tho as I went 6-12 xD Still had a blast!

Xbox conference was super disappointing, although Anthem seems like it’s gonna be a great game akin to Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4. The only good thing EA delivered was Battlefront 2, and even that could be a hit or miss. Hopefully Nintendo and Sony won’t suffer the same fate!
