Magikarp Jump Launches WORLDWIDE! Hints & Tips Inside

The free-to-pay title Magikarp Jump can now be downloaded in North America and other regions on iTunes and Google Play! The official site has been updated with a page about the game and a trailer has also been released in English.

Joe Merrick, owner of Serebii.net, shared his thoughts about how to progress the fastest after playing for a week:

  1. Power up the food over Training. Food is a quicker way of getting JP.
  2. Don’t spend Diamonds on Coin Sacks. It can be tempting, but the coin value you get increases as you level up.
  3. Decoration effects will still be active even if not on display. Get the Whimsicott Cushion first, then Shaymin Planter for their boosts

Good luck training your Magikarp everyone!

  6. so i need some crowd-sourcing
two extremely similar pokemon are conflicting me to the point i will boot one

    Cerenapse/Teslaozoa
which are Psychic/Electric gelatinous jellyfish/octopi that use scary strong psychokinetic brainwaves to do nearly everything, its on par with Alakazam and Meowstic
    and
Cerecelium or Percelium/Saprosmic (both the names conflict with each other and one other pokemon which makes me feel bad)
which are Grass/Psychic extraterrestrial fungus pokemon born from irradiated space dust, small but smart and possessing strong psychokinesis that is so powerful the excess energy leaks out

i like them both but they’re too much alike, and i like their type combos but i don’t want to have two brain themed pokemon at once it’ll ruin their credibility

          • well you’re not that off
Teslaozoa are potentially dangerous they actually sense the slightest spark from a person’s brain and will attempt to feed on the energy via brain harvesting
so yeah if you see one thing stupid thoughts so you seem less appetizing

          • its a tiny hooded spirit pokemon that spends its entire life searching for a person it has the exact same aura with
and once it finds its match it never leaves them
            then becomes Ghostalker into Greaper

          • pure Ghost then Ghost/Steel
they have a signature ability Ethereal Body which grants them a 10% chance for moves to phase through them but they do not get double team

and Greaper’s coiled head tightens and unfurls depending how much time you have left,

          • fairly high attack and low physical defense
Spectini evolves around level 35 then Ghostalker evolves by friendship

            notable moves
            Night Shade
            Icy Wind
            Feint Attack
            Shadow Sneak
            Fake Tears
            Ominous Wind

and when it evolves to Greaper it learns Soul Cleave
            Soul Cleave
            Ghost
            Physical
            Damage 100
The User slashes the opponent with ghostly claws, if the opponet is knocked out the user regains health

          • hmmmmmmm
            open for revisions
            HP: 65
            ATK: 120
            DEF: 50
            SpAtk: 90
            SpDef: 75
            Speed: 100
            BST: 500

          • not too bad but not too sturdy, a late game clean upper if you can snag a revenge kill
but don’t forget Ethereal body adding a accuracy modifier which could help

I want to give it a decent Steel move that isn’t just Iron head, why hasn’t GF invented a Steel Slash variant

  7. Look who’s baaaaaaack! The original name and my first ever avatar (just remodeled couldn’t find the original)

  8. Regional forms! Yay!

    Exclusive to the Summer version:
    Slavian Stunky

They lived for many years near stormy hills, so they absorbed a lot of electricity. They can paralyze predators by releasing it’s smell. They are also very smart.

Evolves in day at level 38 into

    Slavian Skuntank
    Poison/Electric
They are very smart. They know the best tactics. They shoot smelling fluid full of electricity that could kill a small person. People call the fluid “The Skuntank Death Ray”.

    Exclusive to the Winter version:
    Slavian Glameow
    Dark
They think they are better than other pokemon. They are proud of being this spieces. They take some berries from other pokemon, because they think they rule them.

Evolves at night at level 38

    Slavian Purugly
    Dark/Fighting
They are strong, stronger than many pokemon. They don’t care what happens to weaker pokemon, they beat them up if they don’t listen to Purugly’s orders. They are very proud of their thick whiskers.

    • totes, every so often i get this urge to lose myself in a life and sim game
what i think really want is that sense of responsibility and routine
they want their own little world and make it grow day by day

    • Just when I thought I had calmed down about the possibility of an animal crossing on the switch…you go ahead and bring it back up.
