Magikarp Jump Launches WORLDWIDE! Hints & Tips Inside

The free-to-pay title Magikarp Jump can now be downloaded in North America and other regions on iTunes and Google Play! The official site has been updated with a page about the game and a trailer has also been released in English.

Joe Merrick, owner of Serebii.net, shared his thoughts about how to progress the fastest after playing for a week:

  1. Power up the food over Training. Food is a quicker way of getting JP.
  2. Don’t spend Diamonds on Coin Sacks. It can be tempting, but the coin value you get increases as you level up.
  3. Decoration effects will still be active even if not on display. Get the Whimsicott Cushion first, then Shaymin Planter for their boosts

  1. whelp I’m caught up SU. What an ending to season 4. I’m actually excited to see where this goes. It’s so weird how children’s cartoons can get so series hahaha

      • I think the best kids show (and movies for that matter) are friendly enough for kids, but engaging enough for adults. A little bit of suspense and seriousness goes a long way. Shows can be funny, but unless it appeals to all audiences (kids AND their parents) it comes up short.

      • TIL that the new powerpuff girls show has a character that is a self insert of one of the the writers. Not only that but the red one (I can’t remember her name) has a crush on this character and he only appears in episodes that the guy writes

        • I really hate what they’ve done to the PowerPuff Girls. It was SO GOOD back in the day. It had everything that SU, Adventure Time, and Regular Show have where some episodes are super funny and some are serious. They completely ruined it by changing the very core of what the characters were like…..It’s a real shame. While it was REALLY hard I could get over them recasting the girls, but the dramatic change from how the show was to how it is now is unforgivable…..

    • Aside from “series” it’s also very sad sometimes, like the episodes where Steven couldn’t stop again on his birthday or the one where Pearl gets obsessed with Rose’s sword almost had me in tears ;-;

  3. So, for the people who were interested in the “Pokejungles Plays:” event thing I suggested the other day, could you comment and vote which game you’d want us all to play? As a rule of thumb, I’d say don’t vote for RBY or GSC, because most aren’t going to have those even with the VC. And if you want to do Emerald or any 3rd edition game, just simplify your answer as RSE/DPPt etc. If we can vote on a game soonish, I can get started on the checkpoint list.

  5. Can i just say how the Guardian lets you be an absolute dick in both 1v1 and 2v2?
    I really hope other characters don’t get it simply because Ninjara will break the fucking game with it

  21. When do SU episodes usually air when they’re new? I can’t say I’ve actually caught any episodes when they first air, but I’m gonna try. the new eps come tomorrow right? What time should I be looking for them?

      • Those two are so great together. I wouldn’t have pegged Peridot as a funny man, but some how she is and Lapis is her straight man hahaha

        • They are, but they’re treated like trash. Fuck the barn, move them into the house or something, or at least invite them on mission. The crystal gems must be brain dead or something. Why would you not pack all the man power you can get when you’re fighting inter-galactic beings that out number them?

        • Oh yes. Lapis becoming girlfriends with the gem that dragged her back to Earth, hurt her only friend in the universe, and worked with her abuser..(or did Lapis abuse Jasper? Idk it’s so poorly written I can’t tell) was great! She rightfully hated Peridot and even destroyed her tape recorder which was actually kinda shitty since Peridot is coded autisic and destroying her comfort item is a really terrible thing to do. Then despite the fact that Amethyst and Peridot clearly had chemistry, Lauren Zuke had to force her ship on the show even though it makes no sense.

          God I fucking hate these characters.

          • I don’t think Lapis would have quite as much of a problem with Peridot as she would with Jasper though. It is Peridot’s fault that Earth was being attacked, but Lapis did make the decision to fuse. Lapis also willing gave Peridot information about Earth before being prisoner.

          • As far as I’m aware, Peridot summoned Lapis to be her informant. After that, she’s imprisoned, but I always felt it was implied that Lapis went to Peridot and Jasper willingly (initially of course). It’s kind of hard to work out the details exactly. We don’t know how they captured Lapis or got into contact with her

          • Well she initially hated the Crystal Gems, no? She says they knew she was trapped in there and did nothing to help her. She comes to “like” (I guess) Steven for helping her out, but she still has some resentment toward the CG when she leaves Earth for homeworld. I think she also said she blamed them for the war and not caring about homeworld. Again, it’s hard to say, and yeah they should have fleshed that out. The way I take it is that Lapis went to Peridot and Jasper willingly perhaps after being called on, gave them some information, but was then imprisoned and further interrogated for being a valuable source.

          • Idk, I kinda think the Lapis and Peri friendship works, but not really a “relationship”. Peridot and Amethyst was FAR more interesting. So sad they dropped that plot line.

          • True. I liked that episode a lot. I want more of Peri and her though. They had a really nice friendship going.

          • But how!? It makes no sense! Why would Lapis ever want anything to do with Peridot?

            Like it would be fine if it took some time but it took literally one episode and that was it. It should take way longer and even then it shouldn’t be a romantic thing like it clearly is trying to be. Ame and Peri actually makes SOME sense

          • See, I get your complaint. They really should have progressed their problems over a whole season or maybe even longer. That said, I think their relationship works despite it not being properly developed. It makes sense to me that eventually they’d become to be friends/tolerate one another, but they should have taken more time with. I’m also willing to cut it a tiny bit of slack in the time department since it’s a kids show

          • That “it’s a kids show” argument doesn’t work and you know it. Honestly that’s a bigger insult to the show than anything I could say. Gravity Falls, Avatar, and basically any Disney movie has proven that just because it’s for kids doesn’t mean your story has to be broken.

            Plus they barely have a relationship. They hardly talk to eachother. When was the last time they had a conversation without Steven involved?

          • All I’m saying is that I’ve never seen a perfect show. In Avatar they pulled a bunch of convenient plot details, yet it’s still one of my favorites.

          • I mean yeah Peri is a jerk and so is Lapis, but people change. Spend enough time with someone and you may end up finding common ground. I mean that could be the lesson to take away form their relationship……..Maybe? lol

          • Trauma doesn’t go away magically after spending a day with someone who in part caused so much suffering for you. If I was Lapis o would probably want to throw Peridot in the ocean for that

          • Eh….maybe I just don’t remember enough about those episodes to really have as strong of feeling about them lol
