RUMOR: Nintendo Developing Handheld-Only Switch Mini?

The Nintendo Switch is a hot commodity and has exceeded sales expectations across the board. Bloomberg has published speculation by analysts that a new variation of the home console could remove the docking feature and solely be a handheld gaming device.

Citigroup Inc. […] expect the Kyoto-based company to release a smaller version of the Switch in the fiscal year through March 2019, according to analysts including Minami Munakata, Kota Ezawa and Alicia Yap. — Via Bloomberg

Interesting speculation which may mean a lot for Pokémon fans if a main franchise title does indeed end up on the Nintendo Switch.

If there were a handheld-only version though, would it defeat the purpose of the “Switch”? Weigh in below!

  2. Last of my Fakemon spam, but I have Regional Variants of the Alola Starters

Ice-type snowy owl, kunai/icicle using Ninja Deci

Fighting-type alley cat turned honourable ‘face’ wrestling jaguar Incineroar

Normal-type beach dwelling fur seal that only goes in shallow water, turning into a selkie Primarina

All second types remain the same, even Deci’s change

Idea for Stars: starters get new forms, and they shift their types about

Decidueye – Grass/Dark Ninja owl or Grass/Fairy… Um… Lollipop salesman?

Incineroar – Fire/Fairy Cait Sith or Fire/Ghost witches cat

Primarina – Water/Dark cruel siren or Water/Ghost sea spirit

  4. Can I just say how genius the Yega Clan coming back to attack you in the field is? By the time you kill their leader, you are pretty strong. They double as a cool way of reminding you that your actions have consequences (Looking at you Sega) and as a way to curve difficulty

  5. I can’t wait for smash to come out on the Switch. The Switch is just so much easier to control than the Game Pad or Wii-Mote or the knock off Game Cube controller I have and I could probably actually get into smash. Only question is who to main

    .0.

I of course love Zelda but I also really like Dark Pit and Ness. Maybe they will finally add the Inklings or… MIDNA

Pokedex Entry: This Pokemon is extremely courageous for its size and is frequently seen exploring every nook and cranny of its surroundings. Its preferred strategy is to withstand attacks until it sees an open area to attack; it does with extreme force. When it battles, the rocky spikes on its back grow in size depending on how much danger it is in. It may discard a spike if it grows too large by shooting it out like a torpedo.

Pokedex Entry: Upon evolving, it tends to pick an area of its cave and stays there. It slowly digs through this part of the cave in order to make itself an area to reside in. It is said to evolve once it finishes digging out this area. If threatened, it will violently swing its tail at the threat to swat it away. It will never pursue this threat unless it damages the den it is making. If this happens, it will chase the foe relentlessly.

  7. Pokedex Entry: 31
    Noivern —> Mega Noivern
    Classification: The Sound Wave Pokemon
    Height: 6’08
    Weight: 231.6 Lbs
    Type: Flying/Dragon
    Ability: Deafening Echo
    Stats:
    HP: 85
    Attack: 70
    Defense: 80

    Special Defense: 80
    Speed: 173
    Base Stat Total: 635
Pokedex Entry: Upon Mega Evolving, the loudness of its attacks has nearly tripled. It is said the intense sound it creates can make a person 15 miles away deaf after mere minutes. This Pokemon tends to lurk inside of caves and rarely tends to leave. Approaching it in this state is highly discouraged, as the echos of its cries are extraordinarily dangerous to people. One that is trained can aim the sound at precise areas in opposition to broad ranges to avoid injuring its trainer.

Deafening Echo: This Pokémon gains a 2.0x boost to sound related moves. If any sort of trapping move has been used, the move does 2.5x the damage it normally does.

      • Personally, I never saw Megas as needing trainers, I feel as if they ARE possible in the wild. I mean, they work in mystery dungeon don’t they?

          • So I mean, I’m guessing its possible. I feel as if they gain energy or something like that.

          • It’s funny how you’re fine ditching logic whenever you feel like it but when other people do it you jump down their throats
I mean, afterall, maybe you’re, as you spell it, a hippocrite.

          • ME DITCHING LOGIC HOW?
Cut and simple Mega Evolution needs a trainer to use a keystone and that reacts to the Mega Stone

And that can only be done with trainers who have a strong bond with their trainers to activate it

          • Oh wow yet another debate/arguement about logic. Man when will people realize its not worth anyones time

          • it’s those shitty “i don’t have a comeback so i’ll just quit” responsed that truly piss me off

          • It’s not a debate, it’s me simply pointing out a reason why he’s being a hypocrite, I don’t wish to argue

          • you said literally nothing about me being hypocritical
if i was being hypocritical i want to hear your reason for calling me out on it
you just can’t say that and not give a reason

          • What’s the point Earthen? I realized long ago that a scientist can basically break down every single point of an argument relating to something they studied for years and give endless amounts of proof and you’ll still try to say they’re wrong. No matter how right they are and wrong you are you refuse to see things. I’d rather spend my time being productive than argue about something that is blatantly obvious. Just personal preference.

          • dude stop trying to weasel out of this, its either you have a reason or you don’t

and i want to hear it

          • And you just ignored the entire point, I’m just saying that you’re in no place to argue friendo

          • how, you said “I [you] never saw megas as needing trainers” but they do and they always have

Mystery dungeon is different because of the universe but the main point is that its trainer and pokemon, and no recorded wild Megas

  13. New Regional Variant:

    Selosian Crabominable
    The Wooly Crab Pokemon
    Type: Fighting/Steel
    Ability: Filter/Iron Fist
    Stats:
    HP (107)
    ATK (132)
    DEF (77)
    SP ATK (42)
    SP DEF (67)
    SPD (53)
    BST (478)
This form is what some researchers believe what Crabrawler would normally evolve into if it didn’t get lost on Mount Lanakila at Alola. Crabominable, now introduced to more hotter areas here in Selos, sheds off its wooly fur. Overtime, it came with ends with some of Selos’s predators, and as a result of getting beaten so many times on their bodies, the shell hardened exteremly, and adapted to the blows. Scientists, when they took samples, discovered the shell was a very strong metal alloy, which was found as a dormant gene in Crabrawler, but was never enhanced in Alola because of evolving in cold climates.
*Crabominable’s design now lacks the fur, but its face now looks like a tiki mask, and there’s some sort of “belt-like armor” protecting it’s body, almost as if it were a champion boxer.
